After a long day of driving we came here for dinner. It was quite busy but we were seated within five minutes. Inside was dominated by the bar and sit down tables lined the walls. The crowd was lively that evening. Our server brought over the specials board while we perused the menu which showed a variety of food choices. We ended up getting the haddock special and a seafood soup. The haddock turned out to be a generous portion with creamy mashed potatoes and green beans. It was quite good and nicely priced. The seafood soup was tomato based, rich with lots of seafood inside. Desserts were showcased in a small refrigerated case but nothing stood out to us that night. Service was fast, very friendly and good throughout our meal. If paying by credit card there was an option to add a tip. read more

After a lovely day of driving the Ring of Kerry, we decided to finish our day with a nice dinner, we chose this place after reading all the good reviews, and now all my thoughts are how did this place got those good reviews? It was the worst experience ever, I have been in many dinning places and I wouldn't give reviews even it is just ok place, and this one is something else. Ordered food (place was quite quiet at that time), and nothing came for 40 min, asked staff and told just few more minutes, and nothing has came for another 10min, we were all starving by then, and asked staff again and she told us kitchen is busy and we have to wait longer, so we decided to ask for a manager to talk. Few minutes later food came, and both of our burgers were undercooked, raw in the middle, mine I asked for no cheese(lactose intolerant), there they were stick on the burger bun, we couldn't eat ours, my son's pasta was tasteless so he didn't eat his, my parents had their food not because the dishes were nice, only because they were starving. Called staff to complain, asked for manager again, and after 10 minutes no one came and we were completely ignored. Grab a staff to ask for manager again, he just said manager was busy in the kitchen, I think he just try to avoid dealing with us. Honestly, with undercooked food and waste of our time we did not want to pay anything, however, we paid everything apart from the burgers. This place if you want to grab a drink maybe ok, but keep away if you want some food. And if the owner of the pub ever see this, please train your manager on customer service, I have worked in hospitality and there is so much better way could deal with this situation then trying to ignore. read more

A group of us had a very enjoyable lunch here. There was a decent amount of seating, and no issues accommodating our larger group. I had a Guinness and fish and chips. Both were excellent. We came back another night for a round of drinks. Very nice atmosphere. read more

I came here for dinner with my husband and another couple and we had a good experience! We came in and they had someone playing live traditional Irish music, which was really awesome and they were really great! The pub had a good ambiance--casual, chill, and traditional with a modern twist. We waited about 15 minutes for a table, but it was prime time for dinner so it was busy. The wait wasn't too bad. They have a nice bar that you can wait at and get a drink. They have a nice beer selection as well. I started off with the nachos (with cheese, tomato salsa, jalapeños) and I added the chili. These were good, but I felt that they were a little too light on the cheese and chili, as I had a lot of plain chips with nothing on them at the end. I thought the chili was quite good (a little spicy). For my entree, I ordered the "Traditional Irish Lamb Stew" with mashed potato and homemade brown bread. I thought this was delicious! The lamb stew was great--hot and rich with flavor. The mashed potatoes were quite good too. I LOVED the homemade brown bread. You could definitely tell that it was homemade--super moist and delicious. The service was pretty good. Sometimes it was a little difficult to track down our server, but overall she was very good and they were super busy at the time. The prices were pretty fair and it didn't take a super long time for the food to come out. Overall, great ambiance, great music, friendly staff and patrons, great food, good service, and fair prices. Authentic Irish food is a fun pub atmosphere. The Potato Cake appetizer can serve as a main meal and fill one person up. The Potato Cake comes with delicious gravy and marinated beef. The Kerry Beef Stew special was equally filling and felt like your mom cooked it with love. The homemade Irish Soda Bread was good, dense, filled with bits of raisins, nuts and seeds. Came with my dad (who is gluten free) on a Friday night while we were on holiday. Staff was friendly and helpful - got us seated somehow despite all the tables looking full - and the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the lamb stew and my dad ordered a Cajun chicken salad - would recommend both! More gluten free menu options for my dad than we'd seen at other Irish pubs so far. The traditional music was lovely and the separation between the bar area and the dining area meant that we could eat dinner in relaxation. Not much for atmosphere but the food is very good, the service friendly and the fire Oh so nice! We had the smoked salmon special, the pepper potato soup, chicken kiev and a toasted chicken sandwich. All very yummy. The accompanying salads are exceptionally nice. read more

We spent 2 weeks in Ireland, traveling all around, and this was our best meal by far. We shared seafood chowder which was loaded with fish and not overly thick, but more creamy/brothy. Amazing. I had pan-seared hake on mashed potatoes with roasted root vegetable and creamy fennel sauce. Incredible, down to the last carrot. Got the bangers and mash, those are pretty simple and not hard to mess up, and that they did not... The food was good, nothing spectacular or amazing but we enjoyed it...
