Their egg appetizer

Five stars for the food. The Cod entree I ordered was just as good or better than some of the more expensive places we dined at in Dublin. I highly recommend getting their Cod entree if you like fish. The service was decent as well and they have good cocktails. We did not make reservations and just walked in so got one of the few available tables since this place is popular. The kids menu also has large ice cream sundaes that our toddlers enjoyed. They also split the fish and chips from the kids menu. This place has good food and decent Irish ambiance if you're looking for a dinner place in the cute town of Killarney.

We stumbled upon this bar just walking around Killarney. We were looking for a Guinness Stew but saw they had Shepherd's Pie and decided to try it out. Prices were average compared to other pubs we've been to. The food was delicious & the drinks were strong. The shepherds pie was made with lamb but did not taste gamey at all. The Irish breakfast was also tasty and a good amount of food. Service was attentive. Overall, a great pub for some food and drinks.

Cute spot with live modern music. Came here for a couple of drinks on a Wednesday evening at 9:30 and the music went on until about 11. The bartender was nice enough to try to cobble a Moscow mule together (which wasn't on the menu). They have specialty cocktails as well as the standard drinks. The restrooms are in the hotel (which the bar is connected to). There were plenty of places to sit and the overall environment was a bit more upscale than your typical pub.

Best fish and chips so far in Ireland. A beautiful pub, delicious food, excellent beer and service. Reasonable prices. Couldn't ask for better.

Guiness for strength, Irish coffee for energy

I went around 6pm and there were a lot of couples hanging out as well as a family. Mellow atmosphere but cool pub. I didn't see the live music because it didn't seem like a great venue for later in the evening. I got the chicken bacon salad ($7) which was awesome, not very big but very well done with lots of chicken and bacon, as well as a pint of Guiness (which is good at this pub) and an Irish coffee. The Irish coffee was out of this world! I didn't give this a 5 stars because it's much more a sit down relax and have a pint place than a place to go out and it's a little spendy but everything I had was great and I will definitely come here when I am a bit older (24 ur old reviewer).

Lamb burger with chips

We chose this place based on the menu outside the door. It was altogether an okay experience, I wouldn't come back here anytime soon. I had the salad special, which was a mozzarella and tomato with basil drizzle on greens, which was very delicious. I also got the Irish meatballs in tagliatelle pasta. The pasta was fresh and tasty, the meatballs I felt like lacked flavor or proper seasoning and the sauce was subpar I think, in both quantity and quality (kind of bland, thin/watery). My husband got their lamb burger, which he couldn't finish because of the taste. He likes lamb, a lot, but said something was off about the flavor of the meat and he couldn't stomach finishing barely more than half. The service was okay, but the place just seemed sort of run down and lacking in life by comparison to the other pubs and restaurants we went into in Killarney.

We only stopped for a drink as we were crawling through Killarney. Typical clean hotel bar, so don't expect a pub feel. Friendly service.

This review is for the restaurant not the pub. We came for lunch and found all the usual Irish pub…read moreofferings. The pie of the day, not on the menu, was steak and kidney, which I had to try "for research purposes". The pastry crust extended to the sides and bottom so it fully enclosed the filling and was served "freestanding". Crust and gravy were excellent. In the filling, both the steak and the kidneys were plentiful. My research completed, I probably wouldn't order it again; just give me the steak - no more kidneys please! Nevertheless I did enjoy and finished it. This was served with decent fries and a truly excellent green salad: a variety of leafy greens, radishes, cucumbers, pickled onions, and pre-dressed with a vinaigrette. The wife had the Beef & Guinness Casserole, served with brown bread. Along with steak there were also plentiful veggies (root vegetables and celery) and mashed potatoes in the center. She liked it. I tried it and agreed. I would get that next time. I had a Jameson Old Fashioned to drink and it was the best Old Fashioned I've had in some time. The unusually large twisted orange peel probably contributed and it may have had more than the customary amount of bitters. The wife's tea was amusingly served with a knitted "cozy" keeping the teapot hot. For dessert we shared a Sticky Toffee Pudding, served with vanilla ice cream, attractively presented with a dusting of sugar, whipped cream, and a ground cherry complete with its leaves. I'd rate it second among the three I've tried so far. Would certainly order it again. As for the pub I can't say. It has a reputation for good traditional Irish music every night but unfortunately not until 9:30, way too late for us. Sadly we're just not pub people.

Music starts at 9pm. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We had fish and chips, the stuffed chicken and sticky toffee pudding. Washed it all down with a couple of Guinness and a Red Spot whiskey! It was a lovely meal.
