We called Roy's Sewer and a real human answered the phone! We had a back up in our Utility sink in the garage. The kitchen sink would drain into the Utility sink, thankfully the dishwasher drain was OK. We called Roy's Sewer Service and they came out the next day. They called and texted before arriving. John took out his ladder and went on the roof with his 60-70lb snake to open the drain. We have had the "sewer lateral" done several years ago so it was a surprise that the drain clogged. John G. from Roy's Sewer Service came out on time to clear up my slow vanity sink drain, and to troubleshoot my malfunctioning toilet. He cleared out the sink drain, then went to work on the toilet. Turns out that the small hole that is at the bottom was blocked with uric acid salts. He cleared that out and taught me that what that small hole does is help push out the solids with a gush of water. When you let urine sit in the toilet (which I was in a habit to do since the drought to save water), salt from your urine can build up there and block that hole. Now I will be sure when cleaning the toilet to make sure to clean that hole, and flush urine more frequently. The toilet flushes soooo much faster and efficiently now. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Rates are reasonable and upfront, unlike R**o-R****r where they don't even tell you the rate. John left the bathroom clean and tidy, like he was never there. Roy's Sewer Service and their technician John G provided excellent service and value in clearing roots from our house sewer line and on short notice. The prospect of our toilets or dishwasher backing up during a major storm (which is upon us) was an unpleasant thought. We first noticed a problem over the prior weekend and the following Tuesday (just before the storm), Roy's had John G show up and confirm we had roots growing into the line from a cleanout. This was a cleanout I didn't even know existed. John was able to locate the unknown clean out but then had to dig down three feet through soil that was mostly rock; an area that hadn't been dug up in many years. At one point, I questioned John if a cleanout was really located in that spot; he was undaunted and ultimately right on the money. He took no breaks and worked diligently to get the job done that same day. Now I can sit back while it's raining a 1/3" an hour and not have to think about sewer lines. It was my first time using Roy's Sewer Service. I called and spoke with Nicole, who is pleasant to deal with. Her grandfather started the company in the 60's so it's a family run business that runs with pride. The workers were prompt and they inspected my sewer line and did a camera recording. This company only inspects the sewer line and gives their findings but they do not do the repairs so you know that they are giving an honest assessment and not tacking things onto the bill. Disabled senior 3 Hour Plumbing Nightmare. After two and a half hours the worker decided to bring in the right piece of equipment to do the job. Plus $500 to remove / replace a toilet. $1,250 to unplug a toilet drain!!! Said overtime should have been added to that - Yikes! - Job left unfinished had to clean up and pick up glass shreds they broke, clean and caulk toilet. Needed to give Roy's Sewer a top review. I had a plumbing situation that involved some complexity with my ejector pump for my downstairs bathroom. I called my local guy and he was to come this morning. He called very early deathly ill, and recommended I call Roy's. I did. I nice woman took my call and worked with me, sent a plumber who got here in under an hour, (more or less same time i was expecting my guy). It's often a two man job but Ian, was fantastic and less than a half hour he navigated the setup here and had the problem fixed, put everything back together - and voila. Ny husband has that weaponized incompetence down to a science. Our toilet and shower was making a weird noise and he was doing nothing about it. We weren't sure who to call but I can READ and I knew doing nothing wouldn't be good, so I did a little research and found that a rooter was who we needed, and called these guys. We can start out with the seasoned vet almost loosing his hand from snaking our pipes. I understand why he had to leave. But when someone came to take over he ended up leaving a part of the snake hanging out of sewer line. We cannot close it. To top the whole experience, Roy's said we've washed our hands of this and it's up to us to get their snake out if our line. Totally unprofessional!. They went above and beyond. They explained everything they were doing. Let me know the cause of the clogs. Mostly egg shells and food waste. My bathroom sink was full of hair. They were great with my 4 year old. He called the Mario and Luigi from Mario brothers and followed them around. They ran into overtime but stayed til they completed the job. They declogged 3 sinks. Thanks for literally NOTHING. My French drain was backing up. You sent a guy, he tried for two minutes to unclog. Ran a snake , that didn't help. Shot some water into the drain. Said he basically had no idea and CHARGED 225.00 !! I feel so ripped off. Nothing worse than paying a lot of money for literally NOTHING. I'd be happy to pay a small fee to come out BUT 225.00????? My residential plumbers tried their best to clear my clogged sewer after locating the blockage under the street, but their equipment was not adequate for pipe buried that far out. We feared that the old pipe had collapsed and would need replacing. The trenchless company I contacted suggested that I try Roy's Sewer Service first. They came out the next day, located the blockage, cleared it, jet cleaned the pipe and found no damage. After several days with no sewer usage and facing perhaps an additional week for pipe replacement, I cannot begin to express my gratitude and relief.
