The only issue I had was not being able to get service / flushing for my hot water heater because it's a tankless version they were unfamiliar with. Late on a Thursday afternoon, we discovered we had zero hot water! I quickly went to Yelp to find a reliable plumber. I called Curoso but since it was after 4:30pm there was no way that repairs could be made that night. However, they promised someone promptly on Friday morning. Friday, Matt showed up in advance of the promised time and began work. Our old water heater was tucked away in an alcove in the garage, making it a little challenging but he didn't bat an eye. He was able to make the swap with minimal drama. He moved what needed to be moved, cut out the old heater, and placed in the new one. It was all done by 1pm and we had hot water! Our 5-year-old water heater suddenly started leaking water from the pressure relief valve at the top of the tank. I called Jim Curoso, and they sent Ramon out - squeezed me in at the end of the day. Ramon took about 5 minutes to diagnose the problem as being a failed pressure regulator at the water main, and our water pressure was way too high (over 100 psi - it should be below 80 psi). It took him a couple of hours to replace the ball valve at the water main, the pressure regulator, and install an expansion tank on the water tank itself. I was very impressed with all the communication between the office, Ramon, and me, and they did a great job! read more

On Saturday, the hose feeding my toilet tank popped off, spewing water all over my bathroom. I turned off the main faucet to my house, leaving me without running water for 3 long days. It has freed up so much space in my water heater closet which I have put to good use, installing shelves for storage. shane I called Curoso Plumbing because I had a clog somewhere in the sewer line. I worked for a couple of hours with a small snake I had and other tools. I used Hot water and other little tricks that have worked in the past. Nothing worked. I let it sit overnight hoping it would dislodge and initially thought it worked, nope I was wrong. I finally decided it was beyond my capabilities. I went onto their website and sent an email requesting service. After about an hour, there was no response, so I called Curoso Plumbing at 4 pm and received a call back from Sterling at 404 pm. WOW, that was fast. He said Shane was just getting off work and could swing by within an hour. Shane showed up about 20 minutes later and I advised him of the issue. He advised me of the emergency call-out fee and although it was higher than a normal callout, it was less expensive than I thought. He was professional and went right to work. He used a small professional sewer snake but it was not able to do the job. He estimated the clog was about 35' away. He had to bring out the big daddy professional snake. That did the job and dislodged whatever was clogging the line. During the job, I interacted with Shane; he was very personable and advised me of his past work experience and general topics. I was very happy to hear he really liked working at Curoso Plumbing, which always says something about the business that treats its employees well. I would not hesitate to call them again. If you're looking for an extremely competent, professional, and friendly plumbing service, you have reached the end of your journey. I cannot recommend Curoso Plumbing highly enough. A year ago, one of the water heaters in my home died. My house is rather large and the two water heaters serve different parts of the house. I called several plumbing companies that service West County and scheduled an appointment with a very large, local plumbing company that has a strong reputation as "family-owned." Putting aside the plumber's gruff nature, I explained that there was a second water in the basement and asked if it would make sense to replace both of them with one tankless water heater. He was pretty dismissive, telling me that it was too complicated a job and would be very expensive, even though the price to replace the dead unit was not cheap. I sensed that this guy did not want to do any more than the minimal work. Later that evening Sterling from Curoso arrived at my home to look at the job. When I mentioned the second water heater, Sterling told me, unsolicited, that he could remove both water heaters and replace them with one tankless unit! He assured me that there would be minimal work to reroute some pipes and that the job could be completed within one day. Sure enough, Sterling and his crew of three arrived the next morning and were hard at work for the next ten hours. Not only did they streamline my entire hot water plumbing operation, but they were kind enough to remove a THIRD, non-functioning water heater that the previous owners had left behind. A day after the installation, I discovered a small vent problem with one of the lines they installed, I contacted Curoso, who had a plumber out to fix the problem the same day. Shane was great, came right out (both times) when he said he would and fixed 3 plumbing issues for me. Installed a new valve at the main service and I could tell this was a high quality brass piece that should last. He also gave me some tips on how I could better insulate my wall to protect from the UV and heat which apparently broke down the PVC over time.
