I am very impressed with Moore Solar / Heating / Cooling staff and the new heating and air conditioning equipment they installed in March 2017. The furnace and A/C they replaced was 33 years old and has been having problems for a few years and was not very efficient. We made an appointment for a Design Technician to come to our home to provide a price quote. Eric Rossetti came out the next day in the afternoon and I was impressed with receiving a call in the morning from the office confirming our appointment and Eric calling to let me know 15 minutes prior to our scheduled appointment that he was on his way. He looked at our system, went into each room to check the vents, looked under the house, asked us if we were happy with the temperatures we were currently getting in each room, and looked up information via internet on our house for dimensions and other information. My wife and I wanted a system that was not costly but efficient to run. Eric presented options to us with no sales pressure and informed us the system we were looking would allow us to obtain around $1,850 in rebate money back to us. I was very impressed with their 100% Right or 100% Free Guarantee with no hidden installation costs, and the 10 year parts and labor warranty. Included in the quote were other repairs and improvements we needed for our existing ducting. My wife and I said we would get back to him with our decision in the next few days. Moore Heating is Diamond Certified which is an accomplishment to be proud of and it shows with the work they perform and customer service. We invited another reputable company to provide a quote and were not impressed at all with how the new equipment they were selling and installing was presented. It's a long story.......after going back and forth with the sales representative through several emails and finally getting him to send a copy of their contract I would be signing (a long contract). The contract was clear in saying that any changes or additions besides installing the furnace and A/C would be additional costs (this frightened me). The quote he provided was around $1,000 more than Moore Heating for less efficient equipment and less work to be performed than Moore Heating. When I asked him if any rebates out there were available he was quick to say there is not which I already knew was not true after speaking with Eric at Moore Heating. We decided to hire Moore Heating and so happy we did. The install took 2 1/2 days and a lot of work was done. They ran into a few extra things that needed to be done while work was being done to make the system 100% right and took care of them with no additional cost to us. The lead technician was Adolfo and did an excellent job to assure I was happy, and Ronnie assisted him in the installation. Later during the work days others came to assist them, here are some of the staff at Moore Heating that worked on our system; Austin, Trevor, Tom, Jessie, Troy, Oscar, & Jose. Brad came and charged the A/C system and tested it. And Kirk took care of our rebate paperwork. Every employee I met personally and talked to on the phone was very friendly and professional (I wish I had gotten the names of the women I spoke with in the office to mention their names (Thank you)), I was very impressed with everyone's costumer service and making sure I was happy with their work performed. Every time they entered the house they placed cloth boot covers on to protect our floors along with floor coverings. I appreciate the lead technician Adolfo making sure our house was kept clean throughout the process and letting me know what time he would be back the next day 8:00 am and then calling me the next morning to let me know he was on his way and on time. Archon Energy Solutions came (included in cost) and performed efficiency testing and everyone put on boot covers wherever they entered the home. They were very professional. Their test results were conducted to assure the system was efficient so we qualified for our rebate and we passed with flying colors. The City of Santa Rosa came and inspected and signed off on the permit after finding no problems or having any concerns. If you want to read my short review...here it is...amazing and thank you to all people who made this house a home again. In particular, Bob and Juan (technicians), and sales rep Joshua. Anyone who is thinking about using Moore, do not hesitate, do not be concerned, trust these guys with your home and your family and your pocket book. Now, here is my long review and it starts very negative. I originally had Sears do our complete HVAC system... I look forward to giving them their terrible review once I win in court after having to go to that measure after they destroyed our home. Sears cut gaping holes in our home we didn't notice till the second winter after the rats chews through new ducts, tore apart new attic insolation, and shit all over our crawl space and attic and walls. Sears not only opened our home to the element and rats, they did a terrible install and design. They didn't follow code, my ducts were on the ground and zig zagging, never was it efficient, it was loud, and did I mention Sears caused a total rat infestation??? We have had our entire unit shut down and vents sealed with plastic wrap so our children could breath clean air even if it was blistering hot or getting cold. I called in Moore because of yelp reviews and because Sears refused to take responsibility. I even kept with Moore after some companies bad talked them....they just wanted our business and if you don't think I have done my research, just contact me, I am a HVAC master now. We paid Sears 16K to turn this home into a nightmare and we had Moore sweep in like superman and save our space and our health. They are incredibly knowledgeable, hospitable, professional, clean, educational, informative, they go above and beyond...I can go on and I will. I contacted about 8 other companies and got quotes from all. Some were way less, some were more and some were right in the same range. The difference is that Moore is a lifetime guarantee or it's free. Ducts are not cheap and if you go cheap you will have our same issues I guarantee. If you have to spend 5k and your already spent 16k for Sears to eff up your home and not give a shit, why wouldn't you go with Moore? Just do it people, trust me please. I have been through 3 years of literally rat shit and a nightmare to now have a wonderful space to share with our three small children....whom all got to know everyone from Moore very well. They all took their time to sit down and talk with kids when they got into their space and Bob even talked with Vinnie through the vents which made his day to say the least. They fixed our Sears mess, they fixed the complete inefficiency of the Sears debacle of a duct design, and I have no doubt they are there for us in a drop of a hat. DO NOT HESITATE, DO YOUR RESEARCH, BUT BE 100% CONFIDENT WITH YOUR MOORE CHOICE. I only wish we would have gone with them instead of Sears 3 years ago. I want to start off by saying highly recommend Moore Heating & Air. Last year had them do a cleaning and check my system since it kept shutting off and on. I was hoping I did not have to replace it. The staff was very helpful in setting an appointment to fit me in as soon as they could. Josh came out after courtesy call to let me know he was on his way. The kept the appointment time and he looked over the whole system. Told me that the heating system was still in great condition by this is what the problem is and can fix it up on the spot. He explained everything in detail on how and why it was acting up. Also, I decided to sign up for the maintenance program which they come out yearly to clean it and inspect it. If there are any repairs get a discount and the repair is guaranteed for life. To me it is well worth it. So not only did I get the repair done and get my discount, he did an excellent job. I enjoyed it the heating for the rest of the season. Well, a year later and time for the yearly checkup...did it before the cold season kicks in and the heater will be going on. Again, got me scheduled did the courtesy call to let me know he is on his way. Josh checked it out and one part of the sensor that I knew was running a little off last year should probably be replaced this year...Josh explained could do it now or wait until it goes out...figured let's replace it now. He did it quick and got my discount. The heating system is running like a purring kitten. I have to say the staff is awesome, professional and friendly. Josh is one of those employees that a company should be really proud to have as an employee. While up in the attic he checked everything out and even told me that my vent hood was not connected...I had a new one installed last year and they did not connect it as they should have....he helped me take care of that on the spot after he asked if it would be ok for him to do that. I would have never known that it was not connected and really appreciated him not only doing the task on hand but making sure everything else was in good working order up there. Less than a week later, I get a follow-up call from their staff to make sure everything was done properly and I am having no issues. I appreciate that they actually check up to make sure everything is working well and there were no issues. Unfortunately, people have issues and never say anything then the company doesn't know....they actually reach out to make sure there are no problems and if so, they can resolve it...great customer service! The prices are fair, the work is exceptional, and the staff is friendly and very professional. Kudos to the whole team and you better believe I have my heating team for any of my heating needs. We just had a new furnace installed by Moore HVAC, and have been incredibly happy with the whole experience. This is a funky old 'river house' with no existing furnace or duct work, so we knew it was going to be a big job. It started with a rep coming to our house to do an estimate, and Brian was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He spent a LOT of time with us, answering all our questions and working out where the heat registers and air returns would go, which was no small feat considering the way this house has been added onto over the years. He also explained the PACE program for financing home improvements that creat energy efficiency gains, and the HERO program that would allow the financing to be a line item on our property taxes, rather than a conventional loan. We decided to go for it, and set the installation appointment for the next Monday. Right on time two young men showed up to start the installation. The were extremely professional, polite, and thorough. Tuesday morning they showed up with one more coworker, and Wednesday five of them showed up so they would be able to get the job competed in the promised timeframe. And true to this funky house, things took longer than planned, but they stayed until it was done... 12 hours! Thank you very, very much to Mikey, Ryan, Tommy, Adolfo, and Ronnie. You blew away our expectations and did a fantastic job. And... thanks to the price guarantee there were no cost increases due to the long day. Not only did they install the furnace and all the duct work, registers, and returns, they also did a great job cleaning up each day before they left. And they went truly above and beyond... here's an example: at one point we thought one of the registers would have to go in a corner under our cat tree, where the cat's dry food bowl sits. They pulled the cat tree away from the wall while they were figuring it out, and I saw some cat food spilled back there, and made a mental note to vacuum it up in a few minutes. We then decided the register would be better in a different place in the room, and I noticed a little later the cat tree was back in place. So I pulled it out to clean behind it, and the cat food was gone!!! They vacuumed it up while the cat tree was pulled away from the wall!!! I'm still floored by that. So when they tell you they clean up the job site as they go, and that one of their checklist items is to leave the job site better than they found it, they are telling you the truth. From beginning to end, the installation of our new furnace could not have been more perfect. Troy and Tommy were the technicians from Moore Heating & Air Conditioning on Airway Drive in Santa Rosa who installed our new furnace. From our experience we can thoroughly understand the many strong 5-star reviews on the Yelp and Better Business Bureau websites. Professional from start to finish. They gave us a quote and they stuck to it. Ryan was the first Moore technician to come out to the house. He thoroughly reviewed the problem and was able to diagnose what had gone wrong with both our furnace and the company that had tried to repair it before. Ryan was able to put a temporary fix on the furnace but told us our best alternative and gave us a price that was the final price to the penny. While work was in progress with the installation of our furnace, both Tommy and Troy kept us updated about how things were going. When they needed to be in our home, both wore protective "slippers" inside. The time estimated at the beginning to complete the work was accurate. When finished with the installation, except for the brand new furnace, you would never have known they'd been there. The old furnace had been removed, the new one installed, and the area Tommy and Troy had been working in was left completely clean and tidy. What was left were two happy and thoroughly satisfied customers. I can't say enough about Troy and Tommy's professionalism. Excellent technicians who answered every question we had about our concerns and gave us a thorough explanation about what had been done. We could not have asked for more from Moore Heating and Air Conditioning. Friendly, professional and expert work that has left this household very, very happy and very, very warm. 12/21/18: Follow-up visit with David. David was outstanding in every way. Followed up and checked the installation to make sure that everything was operational according to specs and State of California requirements. It was golden. David also did a spot repair on the sheet rock for a defect caused by the former (not Moore) heating company had caused and left without notifying us. David repaired it with a strip of sheet metal. Moore Heating gave me the best service, by far, out of 3 different HVAC companies that worked on ONE problem that I had. The first company was recommended to me by an older relative who only used them (Ongaro & Sons). My experience with Ongaro was different: I do not trust them, and will never use them, nor recommend them. At minimum, they put no effort into ensuring that you get heat as soon as possible--they say that you have to wait for a part on order, when really your service location is just inconvenient for their techs until there's another appointment nearby. Same problem with the second company: if they don't have the right replacement part WITH THEM AT THAT VERY MOMENT to fix your problem, you go to the end of the line. Yes, someone else in the company could bring the right part, but too bad, you can wait five days without heat. Moore Heating is the complete opposite of the first two companies I dealt with. Ryan came out and had the same problem as the second company: the replacement part was wrong for my furnace. By the time we reached that conclusion, he was at the end of his 2-hour appointment window for me. No problem. He called his supervisor and then waited out in his truck for 45 minutes until a supervisor could bring an alternative replacement part. Unless they HONESTLY have to order a part for your furnace, they will fix your problem THE DAY OF SERVICE. I told Ryan that as long as we had heat before nightfall, I was happy to wait. But Moore Heating doesn't even ask the customer to wait one minute. As soon as Ryan reported he needed a different part, they delivered one to him immediately. I need a new furnace, and I couldn't imagine using a company that wouldn't do ITS BEST to fix a heating failure ASAP. The first two companies I used, they work at their convenience. Moore Heating employees are true professionals. Their job is to ensure you have heating & A/C. And they deliver. Oh, and by the way, they have 24-hour service--that is how committed they are to NOT having customers wait when they have problems. And moreover, if you hire them to replace a part on a failing furnace (like mine), they will credit that cost towards a new furnace. That means that their prices are completely fair, and worth every penny for the outstanding service that they provide. Thank you, Ryan! And Barry, you are a great supervisor! The second company I used had a supervisor who wasn't willing to support his staff, and they lost a customer who would've bought a new, 95% efficient furnace. read more

I recently had my annual furnace check-up by Moore Heating and Cooling. I've used them for awhile meeting Jon Diamond several years ago. I've always been pleased with their work and found the technicians easy to work with, knowledgeable, fast and clean! But I have to say kudos to Bryan C. who went above and beyond in comparison! He asked me first if I had any cold spots in my house. Given that my son, who visited at Christmas, had to sleep in the guest room in full sweats with a beanie and socks under a new down comforter and wool blanket my answer was a resounding YES! I also asked him if there were enough vents. He asked if the ducts under the house had ever been checked before and I was sure they hadn't. So under the house he went where he took pictures of the damaged ducts. He was able to show me those and came up with a plan for repair and the use of dampers to move the heat differently to increase the warmth in the downstairs portion of my house. He asked about the upstairs where I told him things were fine but he went up into the attic anyway! Bryan came back a few days later on time at 9:00 am on the coldest morning, materials and tools ready to go to work. By 11:00 am he had finished showing me photos of the completed repairs. So much more heat was coming in! I think my son may be able to leave his beanie at home when he visits next Christmas! But when I say above and beyond this is what I mean. Because of my answer about this room being cold and question about the lack of vents he took the time on his initial visit to check that aspect of things as well. Bryan agreed with me and found a vent in the en suite bathroom that had apparently been installed but covered over by the floor. I never even knew it was there! So after finishing the repairs he took the time to see if he could place the exact location of the vent in the floor so I could have it opened. Needless to say my family and I cheered at the thought of not having to use a bathroom that could double as a walk-in freezer! As he finished up he took a few more minuted to address and agree on the lack of downstairs vents, suggesting that a couple more could be added during my annual visits. With some final adjustments I would have something closer to a zone system and giving me a warmer and cozier house! I can't thank Bryan C. enough! Finally decided to have the 50+ year old duct work replaced. The old ducts were sagging and obviously leaking loads of heat in the Winter and A/C in the Summer. Plus in the Summer heat in the attic, any insulation (or lack of it) on the ducts meant that the air coming out of the vents was not NEARLY as chilled as it was when it was first pumped in. In addition, we FINALLY added a vent in the vent-less kitchen. Checked Yelp and decided to call a couple of companies. All were friendly enough on the phone, but there was something especially down-home about Moore. Sorry, I can't be more specific. It was just one of those things that internally you know these are the folks you are comfortable with. Matt came out and did the inspection on the antique duct work, we talked about my expectations and he drew up an estimate. This is not an inexpensive undertaking, but several factors make it worthwhile: Quieter air flow than from the old, echoing metal ducts; desired temperature is achieved more speedily meaning the furnace or A/C runs less, saving $$ and wear and tear on the furnace and A/C unit; and the new individual feeds were fine-tuned so the air flow into a small bathroom isn't the same as that feeding the large living room or the master bedroom. Rich C. and Arik G. handled the installation. They called while loading the truck in Santa Rosa to give an estimate of their expected arrival time in San Rafael. (Nice touch!) They took time to make sure our two dogs were comfortable with them as they came in and out and then got right to work. We spent some amount of time working to insure the kitchen vent placement was satisfactory. It wound up a bit further from the wall that we would have liked, but that was simply a limitation of our sharp roof slope. Space-wise they got it as close as physically possible. I'm satisfied. The project took much of the day with Marcelus J. rolling in later to assist and take part in the testing of airflow. (He had finished his job early and came to assist, something he says is the norm for Moore workers who he called "family.") A couple of items to be aware of if you are considering this type of project in Marin: Some projects (like duct replacement) can POSSIBLY be eligible for a rebate. To start off, I don't normally write reviews; but this company deserves one and all of the other five stars you see here! Both my wife and I have been impressed with Moore from start to finish! It started with me contacting them via their website at almost midnight. By the time I got up for work the next morning (7am) they had already responded. This happened again with the scheduling of our free estimate appointment. Responded to them at almost midnight, within the hour had a confirmation via email which they followed up with an actual phone call a couple days prior to confirm the appointment between 9-11 am. At that time, I was told they would call me prior to arriving, (yeah I have heard that before) they actually did. Not only did they say they would be there in fifteen minutes and actually were, but the technician (Randy) apologized he wasn't closer to the earlier portion of timeframe they had provided. While in our home Randy was not only informative, knowledgeable, and professional. He was kind to both our animals and children. We scheduled an install that day and everything we were told would happen between the estimate and install took place exactly as explained. The installers (Jorge and Kazu) called and arrived on time. They came into our home and worked in such a manner that both my wife (whom works nights) and baby were able to sleep while they went about their business. They politely put up with our dog barking at them each time they came in and out, and answered all of our older son's 8 million questions. The finished product is professional in every manner! The work is top notch, nothing exposed; there is probably less debris in the areas they worked than when they arrived. They cleaned all of our vents (even my brother's room which required a lot of stuff to be moved to get to it). They took extra time to make sure our other appliances which had to be turned off while they worked were functioning properly before they left. They even were about to go to the store to purchase something to relight our furnace (which is hard to relight) before my wife said we had something and come back to finish before they called it a day. As long as this company exists, no other company will work on our heating or A/C needs! The only other thing I have to say is THANK YOU for everything Moore! Looking for the best in quality and service? Look no further than Moore Heating & Air. This company is the best group I have had in my experience owning and renting a number of homes. Jason was the first to check out my old furnace in Nov 2014 and installed a new thermostat. He explained the benefits of a maintenance plan and I am so glad I signed up because my furnace was about 28 years old and probably on the way out. In February 2015 my system had its first maintenance check. Dale was the technician this time. He showed me in detail the problems of the old heating system, but tuned it up nicely to keep it going - which it did for the rest of the winter with no further problems. He made me aware that there wasn't much time before it failed completely and suggested I research brands. I felt lucky he didn't push to replace right then as these units are expensive! All went well until the first hot days of spring and I tried to turn on the air conditioning! Matthew was the tech on this call, who gave the old system a thorough check, dealing with a number of black widows in the process! The air system was shot - also 28 years old and not worth finding parts. This meant I needed to replace the whole HVAC system. Yikes and Cringe!! Then Matthew sat with me and carefully explained to me about California First - a program to assist homeowners with the expense of replace their HVAC systems - which is always a high cost. Such a relief - Financing through CA gov paid with a small increase to my mortgage payment. Good to know folks!! He called CA first and set everything up, took care of the paper work and we were on our way. Today the installers came just in time as a heat wave has set in in Cloverdale with temps reach low 100's. Micah and Bryan were the techs on this one and efficiently installed a great quiet HVAC system and repaired all of my house vents. I am delighted with such an efficient system with savings to my gas bills. One couldn't ask for better techs - Jason, Dale, Matthew, Micah and Bryan. Polite, respectful of me and my home, friendly and knowledgeable in their work and explained how everything worked so I could easily understand and make good decisions. I needed air conditioning for the house, so I reached out to 4 vendors through their web sites to obtain quotes. I used Yelp to find local vendors, and I picked ones that were close and had good reviews. I take the reviews with a grain of salt, but in this case, Moore's top rating turned out completely justified. They really are that good! First, a little about the competition. Out of the 4 vendors, Moore was the only one that called me back. Right away. Out of the remaining 3, one of them eventually wrote an email, and the other two I had to call on my own. I tried to set up a quote with one, but their availability was so far off, I did not want to wait that long. Another one was only available on the days of the week when I am out of town. Doesn't work for me, sorry. Moore set up a day and time with me that was convenient for me. On top of that, they called several days prior to our appointment to say that they were available sooner. I thought, if I ever have a problem with my AC system a few years down the line, who would I want to work on? The guy who is only available on Tuesdays, books 6 weeks out, and never answers his phone, or the team that has someone answering the phone 24/7 and makes the effort to reach me? Eric from Moore Heating & Air Conditioning came out to see the house, evaluated our needs, and provided us with some options and a quote, which included all the necessary work and was guaranteed, even if they ended up having to do unforeseen extra work. "Other Vendor" came out and gave a quote as well, which was lower, but they said we would first need an electrician to come out, run duct work, etc, which would be more work and more cost for me to bother with. I choose Moore for their all-inclusive quote, their responsiveness, and their guaranteed work, and I was not disappointed. I know my house was not an easy job, and crawling through the attic for a few hours wasn't fun, but Jesse, Oscar, Mikey and Travis got the installation done within the day, and I had a working AC system! A couple of weeks later, Marcelus came out to test the system with the third party inspector. He was very quick, very friendly, and really made me feel part of the "Moore Family."
