My first review regarded a fairly simple faucet repair. I was impressed with Desired Plumbing's quick response to my call, and the quality of the repair. But a new installation? weekend emergency? answer the phone on Sunday? Here's how this situation worked out. I was to leave town for the holidays and decided to check my house for problems, one of which has been my ancient hot water heater. This was an incredible 35 years old, qualifying for the some kind of world record. Sure enough, water was leaking onto the floor. And on Sunday afternoon. So I left a message and wrote an email. Within an hour or so Helene responded that the owner, Neil, would come the next morning. Neil was on schedule and offered to try to fix the leak, but it was due to an old fitting that might result in a bigger leak, and anyway replacement was overdue. One reason I'd postponed this for so long was I knew the job wouldn't be easy. The unit was jammed into a very small utility closet next to the HVAC. Neil gave me a very reasonable estimate, I could leave and the repair would be done in two days. As it turned out, the person I was to visit developed Covid. So I got to see Alix and Daniel do the work. It was not an easy job, many connections were outdated and needed to be brought to current code. The new unit is better insulated than the old so it was larger as well. Plus the old unit weighed a ton due to years of mineral deposits in the tank. But these guys made it happen. I absolutely recommend Desired Plumbing. read more

Desired Plumbing - I still don't know how they got this in the door. - Plumbing Near Me

They communicated well, despite a glitch about the correct toilet model number, were prompt, polite and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

These guys do a great job. I recently had two water heaters replaced by them in my large house and they did an excellent job. Since then they replaced my neighbor's water heaters too. Prior to that they had fixed a toilet and a faucet in my house. I highly recommend them. read more

I had a serious problem with my water heater, not an emergency, but it needed to be fixed soon. I contacted Desired Plumbing Monday afternoon, Tuesday I had their bid. I had questions and was getting two other bids. Wednesday morning, I accepted their bid and the job was done by late afternoon. Desired Plumbing was quick, efficient and did a wonderful job at a competitive rate. Erika was wonderful to deal with. Plumber Alec was great. A fine young man (I'm a Senior) and we got on splendidly. As we were nearing dinner time, Alec said: "I'm not leaving until you've got hot water. No way I'd leave you overnight without hot water". Not much more to say than: Not that I want plumbing problems again, the first one I would call would be Desired Plumbing (big smiles). read more

We really appreciate these guys. Neil is so responsive and schedules work fast. We have called them for multiple projects, some major, for several years. I feel so lucky to find them. Highly recommended! read more

Our water heater went out for the second time in two years. I got replacement quotes and repair quotes but Neal said he'd have to come out to troubleshoot and he was pretty busy until the next day. I talked to him to arrange an appointment and he said he'd try to stop by that day. He was able to stop by that evening and said our water heater parts were covered under warranty and proceeded to call the manufacturer right then and there!!He got the part delivered in two days and sent two reliable crew members to install. Our water heater is just fine with a new burner installed. Desired Plumbing went above and beyond excellent repair and service. I highly recommend them. read more

We needed to replace a 35-year-old water-guzzling toilet and the last two plumbers we called either never returned our call or didn't show up for the appt., so we tried Desired Plumbing due to the number of positive Yelp reviews. Neil answered our call in the morning and was really knowledgable, friendly and patient with my questions. He offered us options re: repair or replace, and the types of toilets available for sane-day installation. That afternoon, two very nice plumbers showed up with everything they needed to install the new Kohler toilet and haul away the old one. They did such a nice job! The bill was very reasonable, too! I've told family and friends about Desired Plumbing because they were friendly, dependable, and professional. Give them a try -- you won't be disappointed! read more

This is the one you want. DP gave me a competitive bid, and Neil sounded like he knew his stuff so I went with them, and what I got was that perfect mix of professionalism, competence, honesty and all-around nice guy. Neil asked for photos before they came out, so when they arrived they already had everything they needed for the job. They were prompt and very thorough, and Neil made sense of everything for me so I understood the issues and options. When they left, the place was spotless, and I noticed they did some things with soldering and insulation that I hadn't asked for or expected. Go with these guys, you won't regret it. PS I have no connection with DP, and I've never met either of them before. read more

Wow, I am so impressed with the great service I received from this company. The hot water pipe from my water heater was corroding and needed to be replaced. I called Neil on Tuesday, he came by on Wednesday to look at the problem so he could purchase parts, and fixed the problem on Thursday morning. Unbelievable !! He works quickly and his prices are reasonable. In one hour, he replaced 2 flex pipes from the water heater, replaced a hot water pipe, grounded the electrical wires on the water heater, AND fixed my noisy toilet. If you need a plumber, you have to call Desired Plumbing. You will not regret it !!!! read more

I hesitate to write a review simply because I want to hog these conscientious fellas all to myself! The review that lead me to them named Neil as "kind," and this is no joke. These guys are capable, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. These are good honest people with the skills to boot. They did a big job in our garage during a rainstorm. Even so, they were tidy, and did all of their cutting in the backyard IN the rain to spare my garage! The job took longer than they imagined, and at 6:30 p.m., after a full day's work, they were STILL going. They are perfectionists, and they charge fairly. I can't recommend them enough. They are the plumbers I've always been looking for and finally found. 10 stars to Neil, Marcel and all the guys at Desired. read more

Neil saved me $3,058.85! Honestly. I wasn't getting any hot water so I called a company (M.R.) and was quoted $3,300.00 to replace the water heater. M.R. found no other problems. Since I'd been without hot water for about a week, I wanted it done and scheduled the installation. But, the next morning, I woke up and the first thought I had was "cancel the appointment with M.R." so I did. I knew that price was way too high. Then, I called Desired Plumbing and Neil came out the same day. He diagnosed the problem in less than a half-hour. The hot and cold water lines had been crossed during the initial installation, 30 years ago. He fixed the problem, told me I would need to replace the tank soon because of sediment build-up, but not before Christmas! Then, he fixed it in no time. The hot water came back, immediately. It cost me $241.15. When I do replace the tank, it will be about half of what was quoted originally. So, yes, I highly recommend Desired Plumbing and Neil. He cares. It's obvious. He's a problem-solver and a fair person, not to mention, lifesaver! read more

We only would write a review as a result of exceptional service and satisfaction. Such is the case with 'Desired Plumbing' out of Petaluma. We are seniors. We have built 8 homes over the years. We know what exceptional service is. 'Desired Plumbing' gets two thumbs up. Very neat, clean and skilled. Their pricing is fair and reasonable. With Plumbers, you never really know what you are getting until the job is done ... Look no further 5 stars for these guys. read more

Neil was a referral from our contractor and I highly recommend him. We set up a time for him to come and just give us an estimate. He was on time and ended up just fixing the problem with the water pressure in our new shower on the spot. He is knowledgeable and honest We will definitely be using Desired plumbing for all our plumbing needs going forward. read more

Neil and his crew have done work at each of my 3 houses, and they do great work. I had Neil out to take care of installing a shower pan last week. I wasn't around, so my tile guy supervised the work. He said Neil did a great job, was quick, efficient and did a great job. Neil ended up doing a few other repairs for issues he found while he was down there. Now the toilet doesn't wobble, the new shower pan is solid, and everything flows properly. He had to get a new drain for the new pan, and everything looks great. The old one didn't fit right and I'm glad he didn't try to pass it off as good enough, because I don't want good enough. I want it done right. Would highly recommend his service to friends and family. Neil was very communicative and easy to work with, especially since I wasn't able to be around for the project. He gets the concept of customer service and not just trying to nickel and dime you for little things. Good to see things getting handled correctly, you don't see that much in the trades these days. read more

Desired Plumbing just saved me thousands of dollars. I had 2 other plumbers look at my leaking water heater and received bids of $2800 and $2300. I called Desired Plumbing today and Neil came by today to look look at my problem to give me an estimate. Instead he said I can fix that. He diagnosed a leaking drain valve and put in a brass cap on the valve to stop the leak and save me replacing my water heater. I'm not accusing the other plumbers of being dishonest, they just didn't take the time to look and diagnose to problem properly. He charged me $0 and wished me a Merry Christmas. Competency and honesty are rare qualities in any business. I will be calling Desired Plumbing for all my plumbing needs from now on. read more

We had an unfortunate plumbing situation arise last night. I called Neil at Desired Plumbing this morning, and he was here within a couple of hours. He fixed the problem at a very reasonable price. He did that and evaluated our gas line system, which hadn't been upgraded since the house was built in 1958 He upgraded everything for a very reasonable price. When asked for a quote to run a new water main Neil and Marcel asked all the right questions. Was willing to give me thoughts on saving money and options on how the job could be done. Ran into a few problems, was quick to resolve them and stay on schedule. Showed up on time was courteous and finished the job both professionally and on schedule. While under my house they even pointed out a few problems that should be taken care of. After receiving this outstanding service, you know who will do the repair. read more
