June 3, 2026 Today, Lucas came out to do a routine maintenance check on the heat pump that Henry Mechanical installed several years ago. We have been super impressed with the excellence of the units they've installed for us, as well as the diligent, expert technicians they have sent to us over the years. Lucas spent a lot of time with us, explaining various things we asked about. Unexpectedly, he really helped us out by installing a new laundry room fan we had picked up to replace the old one that had fallen from the ceiling. Helpfully, Lucas pointed out that our attic has no fan to pump out excess heat (and it gets hot in the summer!!) He promised to send a quote immediately. "Home of the free second opinion" is a lie. My water heater stopped working. I called Ongaro first (that was its own debacle, see my other review) so I could get Henry for my second opinion. When I reached out to Henry - by both phone and email - and asked about the free second opinion, both people I interacted with pretended to have absolutely no idea what I was talking about and tried to pretend I was crazy for asking and insisting. It took half a dozen back-and-forths via email before Bella finally acknowledged that, yes, they would send a tech out for free. At that point, though, it's not really a free second opinion, I basically had to just convince a company to give me a second opinion for free. When the tech showed up, he looked at my water heater for a couple of minutes and we joked about Ongaro and their ridiculous prices (quoted me $938 to replace thermostats and heating elements, or $5,194 to replace the water heater entirely). Then, without actually looking inside any part of the water heater, without testing any circuitry, etc, this tech confirmed that it would be about $900 to replace those two parts (with the parts themselves only costing around $50...) or around $3,800 to replace it altogether. So, cheaper than Ongaro (because I gave him their prices to bid against), but not really. Skeptical of both of those bids, I asked my friend to come check out my water heater for me. He brought his multimeter (Why didn't either of these professional technicians have mutlimeters? They are not difficult to use...) and within 20 minutes he'd figured out that there was no problem with the water heater, but that instead the breaker serving it was faulty. He then replaced the breaker himself for a total cost of about $100. My water heater is working perfectly. It cannot be a coincidence that these two separate companies didn't even attempt to diagnose my problem and instead immediately launched into telling me to pay up hundreds or thousands of dollars for services that WOULDN'T EVEN HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM. These companies and their techs are scum, just out to steal people's money. read more

Be very careful if hiring these folks for any HVAC repair. I called them because my 12 year old AC was tripping my circuit breaker. I would re-set the breaker and the AC would work fine thru a few cycles, but then it would trip the circuit breaker. Henry Mechancial sent out Baily who surveyed the problem and told me that the AC coil was over-amping and that I needed a new fan motor. That fan was installed 2 weeks later at a cost to me of $1,268. and Baily ran the AC through a couple of cycles and it seemed to work OK. Upon finishing up he told me that the problem was probably resolved, but that if it wasn't, he'd come back for further inspection. Not more than an hour after he left the AC started tripping the circuit breaker again - I called Henry Mechancial and informed them that the problem was not resolved - A couple of days later I ran into a friend of mine at COSTCO who sells and installs roof-top solar systems and he asked me if Henry Mechanical had checked the circuit breaker. They had not ... So my friend advised me that circuit breakers do go bad and that if the problem was a circuit breaker tripping the AC, checking the breaker should have been the first thing than any competent electrician or service technician should check out. So I installed a 40amp circuit breaker which cost $18. - I spoke with Eric, (the service manager) at HENRY. He admitted that Baily did not check the circuit breaker, but insisted that the coil was bad and claimed to have photographs proving it - Then I reminded him that the new motor was still tripping the circuit breaker and that we'll never really know if the new $18. circuit breaker would have solved the problem without me spending the $1,268. This sort of reminds me of the old days when an automotive mechanic would start replacing several random parts of a car until finally the "problem" part was happened upon. That old scam led states like California and New York to suggest that mechanics So I'll never know if I could have saved the $1,250. I spoke with Eric, the service manager at Henry Mechancial and he admitted that Baily should have checked the circuit breaker first. In my opinion if the circuit breaker was replaced He informed me that they had photographs showing that the coil was bad and needed replacing. They didn't leave me the old fan motor, (with the coil). read more

Called to see about having ducts cleaned so air quality was better in home of clients I represented. The rep who came out was high pressure salesman. Did eval under the home and reported the ducts were not well sealed and metal had holes. Wanted me to accept bid to redo all duct work for $9,000+ if they could start the NEXT DAY. Said they had hole to fill in their schedule and this was deep discount. I let him know I needed another estimate. Once I got another estimate, was told the duct work was fine! In fact, the duct work had been replaced with new furnace about seven years earlier. I don't trust this company. read more

I have spent well over $56,000 on TWO units and ducting with Henry Mechanical just to have neither unit work properly and promises through the years of calls that they will fix it and make it work as promised. I even bought another unit before the first one was properly working because of " promises " to fix and make right even if it was at their expense. I am writing once again about my situation. Approximately 7 years ago I had central zoned air conditioning put in my house. This is not an inexpensive endeavor. A couple of years later, I had to have my furnace replaced. All work was done by Henry Mechanical. The system has never worked properly. Once again, my heater has stopped working with yet another error message. The unit is a Lennox and supposed to be of good quality. Year, after year, after year service has had to be called and although temporary solutions are found they never last. I've about had it. Once again I have no heat and have been told it would be a week before someone can come out and look at it. Seriously? Enough us enough. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE OR PRODUCT. I first needed the assistance of Henry Mechanical in late December 2023, when my central heating unit could no longer offer what I really needed, which was HEAT! They assisted me with knowing that we had a fatal central heating diagnosis on our hands and helped me to have a new heater in time for my 84 year old Mother's New Year's visit, despite the fact that they originally estimated that they wouldn't be able to replace my unit until several days into the new year. So much more comfortable to ring in the new year without chilling inside my home. They've had my best interests at heart from the time I met them. Some time later, I was offered a free inspection of my water heater, which turned out to be a free inspection of ALL of the plumbing in my mobile home. I am so grateful! I never would have known about the multiple water leaks and a couple water supply issues that have been ongoing for who knows how long due to normal wear and tear. My mobile home is 53 years old this year and these things happen, especially in older homes. While the repairs were estimated to be pricey, and I needed to figure out how I could manage the cost, Henry Mechanical employees were very patient with me as I worked out how I would be able to pay for these essential services. Thankfully, I found a way. They also provided a significant and generous discount for my plumbing service needs as I signed up for a membership plan with them in order to keep my heater and A/C unit in excellent working condition from year to year. On March 8, 2024, these multiple plumbing issues were all resolved professionally, competently and all within less than eight hours! Wow! I am so impressed with this company and their excellent staff. I am planning to be their customer for the rest of my life. I am very pleased to share this sparkling recommendation. Indeed, everyone I've encountered from this organization has shown up at very high levels, from the people who have visited and made estimates, to the people who came to do installations and repairs, to the office support staff who offered their support over the phone. He was the only person we found in all our bids (we got 11 of them!) that listened and explained numerous complex details that other installer's sales people knew nothing about. I asked this company to give me a bid to replace the AC portion if my home HVAC system. Andrew came out and was very professional, this company was one of 3 I sought bids from. This company's bid was a full $7000.00 over the others. I STRONGLY urge folks to look elsewhere for HVAC work. This IS NOT the company you want to hire for any HVAC work. After viewing Henry Mechs rebuttal, they cannot defend thier extreme pricing. The air return comment is nonsense. They could put a bigger filter holding for cold air return but the duct size would be the same. The company I hired is doing everything Henry would do, pulling the permit, doing the duct cfm work AND using better equipment. After 22 years our home Heating and AC died. I checked reviews on line and chose Henry Mechanical both because they got great reviews and they were very close by my home and we needed something done right away (cold!) Andrew Limon came out to evaluate what I thought would be a minor repair on my furnace. He was very professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. He took it apart and showed how badly it was falling apart and actually unsafe to be using since the air it was blowing through the house was full of old dust. I knew eventually we would have to do this and decided to do it the right way and got a complete new Heating and A/C since they are tied together. So we got a brand new system installed from Henry Mechanical-who did an excellent job. They called ahead and arrived on time. Both Daniel the lead installer and Yuri did an excellent job. Not only was the product working great, but all the main duct work in the garage was redone and it looked much cleaner, neater and safe. Additionally they were very careful to check with us every setp of the way if any decision needed our input. Yuri even lubed our our garage 8 ft. sliding glass side door which was a much needed and pleasant added perk! I have used Henry Mechanical for an annual air conditioning maintenance for several years. Unlike other companies that advertise a free or low cost inspection in order to find something wrong with your system, I have found Henry to be honest in assessing the state of my system. I just had this year's service which was very thorough and found no major issues with my 11 year old system. I thought the technician, Bianca, was very competent in assessing the system and in explaining to me how it was working. My feeling is that with all of the regulatory changes coming down the road, it makes a lot of sense to maintain your existing system to have it last as long as it can rather than have to replace it with a new system that will be much more expensive and probably not as efficient due to all of the new government requirements that are in the works. read more
