The installation and education we received was excellent. Every word they gave they acted on and achieved. The installation was fast and professional. We had become "orphaned" as our previous solar contractor is no longer in business and our system was aging out. Suntegrity provided us with a new system and they have followed through with problems we had with PG&E in hooking our system up to their grid owing to a needed transformer upgrade. Suntegrity recently finished up with our solar installation. From the moment of our first contact to our final install, they were top notch throughout. My initial interactions during the contract signing with Suntegrity were good. They were professional, knowledgeable, & experienced. The 5 star reviews are likely deserved if it's a straightforward contract signing and installation. Our was a more complicated situation. There were some issues that arose. I did not feel the company was particularly understanding or supportive. With the final issue, a friendly phone call instead of a terse email would have probably gone a long ways towards resolving the situation amicably. Instead it led to a situation where we parted ways agreeing to disagree. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and call it 3 star service. Regarding Suntegrity's Response: From the very beginning, our discussions with Keith and our reason for entering into a contract was to get in under the NEM 2.0 program deadline and not for an immediate install of the system. Keith very clearly told us we would have 3 years to choose to install the system or not and that if we did not, all we would be out would be our deposit. We were in contract to purchase a house from a spec builder if/when completed per agreed upon specifications, but as anyone in the business knows, until you close escrow nothing is final. The issue is not whether we backed out of the contract with the home builder (which in itself is not accurate and Keith himself states the reasons are unknow to him) but the service and support Suntegrity provided. I sent Keith a detailed email with supporting documentation outlining where I thought Suntegrity fell short and whether all the time he claims spent was immediately necessary or efficient when no decision had or could be made to install the system if and until we owned the house. He responded with "Instead of belaboring these points, let's just agree to disagree and move on", I'm not sure what type of review Keith expects in this situation. read more

I contacted 5 solar companies and I have to say most were very uneducated about solar installations. I had responses ranging from, "We can only put up 9 panels -why? "Because you don't have enough south facing roof." to "Oh, we can't install on your roof because you don't have an attic." When I contacted Kreutzfeld construction (Suntegrity) They immediately said, " We have a lot of possibilities, let me come out and look over your roof and I'll give you all your options." When the tech arrived he already had a layout of my roof he got from satellite photos and even knew where shadow generators were located (chimney and roof vents and even some trees!). He then spent about an hour on the roof with a tape measure and when finished proceeded to show me a computer graphic of my roof and the sun location and length of shadows that would cover some panels -for the 365 days-WOW I was impressed, BUT I was told you cannot install on a roof that has no attic? and much of my roof faces north. He promptly said, "We can do "reverse tilt" and we can double your panels. and we will carefully measure where your roof beams are and bolt directly on them". -Again impressed. They arranged and worked with the county of Sonoma with their Solar loan program and even found American made panels for the same price as foreign made ones! The Crew was prompt, friendly, very careful, and respectful of my property and left the area totally cleaned up. Everything passed county inspection. A little bit of follow up was needed and they quickly responded and made any corrections/additions as necessary. And this was 2 years ago and my 28 panel 56.7 Kwh. system works flawlessly. And batteries will come next -- to take advantage of the recently released new generation of 5 Kw batteries from Enphase. This is all possible because we (fortunately) managed to find Suntegrity, a local, small, family-owned solar installation business focused on top quality installations and use of excellent equipment (e.g., REC panels, Enphase T8 microinverters). Our first experience seeking solar for our home was a nightmare with a very large National provider that had all the hype and none of the delivery... I won't belabor that painful and disappointing experience but will emphasize the key takeaway: Find a small local business with a good reputation for quality work and attention to detail. Suntegrity hits the mark on all those points. Keith and Dawn Kruetzfeldt, the owners of Suntegrity, are extremely knowledgeable and were very responsive to our questions. Professionals from beginning to end. I ended up installing 12 panels to the roof of my house. My introduction to the company started with a call back from Alan, who immediately struck me as experienced and knowledgeable. He asked me questions that seemed to get to the heart of what I needed and wanted for my home. Then I sent him my PGE bill numbers and he did the rest. Their price was within a few hundred dollars of another top reviewed company on Yelp and Alan felt like someone who was only selling me what I needed, and nothing more. Eventually another team member came out and did the measurements to confirm. My only gripe is the install ended up happening later than originally planned, but given COVID and then the wildfires, it's been a year where you get it done when you can. The install team came out and got it done in a day. It looks clean and professional (you can only see the panels). It's been interesting to watch the solar production online. I can't comment on the cost savings yet. I've had it less than two months, and it's winter, so solar production isn't ideal yet. Overall, I would recommend Suntegrity to anyone interested in getting solar power. read more

Hi All, Sorry for the late Update, have gone thru 6months of usage and my Average $120/mo electric bill is now at $40/mo! The bars on my PG&E net meter do go backwards in the afternoon. A correction in my original post. The PGE SmartMeter did go away and was replaced by a SmarterMeter know as the Net Meter. I can read backwards so you get credit for energy you send to the grid in the day time. It unfortunately emits a signal to the environment like the SmartMeter. Sorry to raise our hopes of our answer to eliminate the Radiating SmartMeter. Go to YouTube and enter search term SmartMeter to learn about how these things radiate. The solar system did have an erratic Enlighten system monitor clitch. Back in Nov while checking my system on the web I noticed one of my panels was showing an output of 8 watts, all others were at 175W! Emailed my Solar Universe team and the they had a solution within two days. To make a long story short, I ended up having to install an RFI 'clamp-on' AC line filter on my home furnace fan to reduce the AC line noise that this fan was creating. The fan just started working recently as winter lows were causing the furnace to turn-on. One piece of good news. Mortgage rate have been dropping, So I decided to Refi my mortgage in order to consolidate my existing mortgage and solar system payment. Now I own the Solar system and my mortgage payment is at the level it was before the Solar system. Anyone looking for a great mortgage broker who is local in Santa Rosa?
