Owner and staff are super friendly. The backstory to this vineyard is amazing and worth stopping in…read moreto hear the stories. The reds are some of the most spectacular I've had. A total hidden gem. Seasonal and barrel tastings as well as guided tastings with very knowledgable and friendly staffers. Outdoor seating on a brick patio, gas fire pits, pet and family friendly - it's all about the wine here. No kitchens or lines of food trucks... just a simple, chill atmosphere. In the Spring & Summer, I'm out under the trees listening to the birds and reading a book enjoying some crisp whites. Fall & Winter, inside by the wood stove and mixing it up with the staff and visitors. One of the friendliest spots in the area. Truly some of the best wines on either coast. Be sure to join the wine club for amazing opportunities to bundle & save.

A Hidden Gem in South Jersey!…read more Having lived in South Jersey my entire life and visited quite a few local wineries, I'm honestly not sure how I managed to overlook this gem! I've always found many New Jersey wines to be a bit too watery, fruity, or sweet for my taste, which has kept me from exploring more wineries in the southern part of the state. However, on a whim yesterday, I decided to give Amalthea Cellars a try, and I'm so glad I did! From the moment I arrived, I really enjoyed the relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. There was a nice crowd of people just enjoying themselves, no kids running around, no unnecessary noise, and none of the chaos you sometimes encounter at other wineries. Just a peaceful, laid-back setting where you could actually relax and appreciate the wine. And speaking of the wine, what a pleasant surprise! Amalthea offers an impressive variety that should appeal to a wide range of palates. Personally, I prefer dry, medium- to full-bodied reds with some peppery character, and I was happy to find wines that suited my taste. It's refreshing to discover a South Jersey winery that offers more than the typical sweet, fruity selections. Another nice touch is that you're welcome to bring your own food. They also have a good selection of cheeses, crackers, and other snacks available for purchase, which makes it easy to settle in and enjoy your visit. Needless to say, I ended up leaving with a few bottles to enjoy at home! Amalthea Cellars has officially earned a spot among my favorite local wineries. I'm already looking forward to returning, especially to check out some of their smaller events. If you appreciate good wine, a relaxed atmosphere, and a winery that doesn't feel like a crowded weekend playground, Amalthea is absolutely worth a visit!

6/4/23 WOW WOW WOW!!! I was lucky enough to be invited to a beautiful wedding here at Lucien's…read moreManor. This is definitely my kind of place with the bling and Crystal enormous chandeliers, beautiful fountains and Grecian statues that are larger than life! The ceremony space had a huge skylight and a large window where the couple stood enabling you to see the stone bridge, rock fountains, etc. so much beauty!! After the ceremony we were directed to "The Chantilly" room and the display and selection of appetizers knocked my socks off! There was a salad station- cold area with cheese, crackers, fresh fruit, roasted beets, salmon, caprese salad and much much more! There was an Italian station w pasta, meatballs, sausage, pizza, then carved pork and skirt steak area, lots of seafood and even a mashed potato bar and a macaroni and cheese bar. Stupendous! Every time I got up I found something new to try. The wedding space was elegant and large for all to enjoy. We ordered the filet and that was served with tasty asparagus, potatoes, a peeled carrot and a light gravy sauce. I was very happy with all the desserts I tried too. The staff was ultra pleasant and attentive. This was a first class affair. I loved my time at Lucien's Manor and if you have the chance to attend or host an event there I know you will too. Five excellent stars!!

My son said that his meal was delicious (my "mini me" is turning into a foodie too!). Chicken parmigiana, Caesar salad, a roll and butter plus ice-cream. We arrived early and walked the grounds a bit. Loved the fire pit! Someone get married and have the reception here so I can go ;)

It's as if they just didn't bother to wash the glasses. Perhaps the owners are too busy taking great lengths to maintain this ornate atmosphere while something like grimy dishware go unnoticed.

Helloooo Darlings!…read more Hubby and Your Host attended a wedding ceremony and reception here last night, and it was among the loveliest we attended. While we certainly give credit to the lovely couple and their families, Brigalia's certainly played a large role in making it an unforgettable affair. The facility is more of a complex, with separate buildings where ceremonies are held that are connected by cobbled walkways, as if they were illustrations in children's storybooks. We're talking beautifully manicured landscapes and structures that fit neatly into the complex, so lots of opportunities for some great photo ops! The reception was held in a large ballroom with an amazing lighting package that would rival Taylor Swift's wedding at MSG. The room itself is a large open space with a grand staircase, very tastefully and formally decorated. Now darlings, be prepared to chow down. The fare is abundant, decadent, and delicious. Come here with the expectation that any diet you might be following will be thoroughly negated, and hours and hours of Stairmaster fun will follow in the days ahead, but it will be worth it. Drinks...:::hiccup:::...enough said here. Your Host kept *some* semblance of control and didn't get tanked (IIRC). STAFF: The staff here were top-notch: friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Moreover, they ALL went well above and beyond to keep guests happy. They all had a great rapport with the attendees and with each other. If you're acquainted with anyone with marriage on the mind, by all means recommend this place. It truly is magical...and the memories (and the calories) will be worth it. Congrats to the special couple! Mazel Tov, Darlings! Your Host
