I was not disappointed. Although the place is not fancy smancy like some nail salons that serve beverages (wine) and snacks, it is a place I will add to my list. They are about the nails! I came in, was greeted, asked to pick out my color, and was in the chair in under five minutes on a busy Sunday afternoon. I get my nails done here when I go to Arlington. They're pretty clean and everyone is usually very nice. I'm really happy with the quality of my nails and I think they do a nice job with the shape. The only reason I don't give five stars is because I always have to call and ask for price on services. I was super impressed that my gel manicure lasted more than a month with very minimal cracking/peeling. The nail polish selection is large and the gel manicure was very reasonable priced ($34 before tip). Kathy, who did my nails for more than 10 years at Nails 2005 recently moved to Royal Nails. After Nails 3005 unexpectedly closed (I suspect a problematic landlord who has had chased several businesses out of there.) I'm so happy to have found Kathy at Royal Nails. She does a fantastic job that lasts. I get gel but they offer many different types of polish. It is very relaxing and I look forward to going to see her. The only thing that could make it better is Royal Nails doesn't have hot wax like Nails 2005 did. I hope they add it soon. read more

This review is mainly about how amazing Natalie is! I've been going here for over 2 1/2 years now, and she is not only talented, but she is so kind as well. I've had cuts in the side/middle of my nails and she's been able to fix them. Recently, she switched me from gel to dip and she does such a great job. They don't look thick, and the dip has lasted for 5 weeks. My nails grow slowly, but 5 weeks?! Pretty great. The salon is older, and it's no-frills, but this woman is a 10/10! I had to add my $.02 to level set some of these reviews. My wife and her friends moved from other salons to this one because of the service and quality here. I've been 1/2 dozen times. The basins cannot be dirty or contaminated because they put a plastic cap over them, between your feet and the actual porcelain (or whatever material was used to make them). You literally only touch what amounts to a newly opened shower cap. The wax is the same as you will find at any other nail salon. It may take you 5-10 min depending on your level of ADD to figure which mani pedi service you want because the have more options than most. It took a little extra time my first visit:) I don't get my nails painted but from what I've seen and heard, they do a great job. I know reviewers on this site tend to get a little emotional and 1-star a place that perhaps wasn't 100% perfect 24/7 so I thought I'd add the experience of people who have used this place often and who have tried dozens of salons. If I could give a place ZERO stars, it would be this place. Why the vitriol? My sister went to this place to get her eyebrows done, and she wound up with mild first-degree burns under each eyebrow (see photograph). Now, I realize that this is a nail place but if you offer services, you should be able to perform them adequately. I understand that sometimes the shape of the brows may not be completely to your liking (we've all had subpar brow shapes as a result) but never EVER should one of your customers wind up with burns under each eyebrow. Mary, the lady at whose hands said burns occurred, attempted to cover it up by saying that the red marks would calm down after an hour. Well, they didn't - they just hurt like crazy and later left scabs behind. Seriously, this is every woman's worst nightmare when it comes to getting her brows done (short of having NO brows left). If you are going to get your eyebrows done, do NOT come to this place, and if you're in a bind and have no other choice, do NOT let Mary near your brows!! read more

It is owned by same manager and depends on who you get. I know two girls that work at both places that are great but this time I got an older lady and she wasn't very friendly. I couldn't understand her. I had to continue to reiterate what I want. Then I had some cuts on my feet going in that I mentioned to her to be careful and avoid. Especially with the salt massage, but that didn't last long. If you have feet issues like me then you need someone who will be careful. Went there a few weeks ago (well...about 3) and they were GREAT. I am a pretty spoiled customer when it comes to getting my nails and toes done. I tend to do them myself because I always like how I do them better but I REALLY needed a pedicure before going to L.A. and figured that it would be quicker if I went in to a nail salon. I was incredibly impressed with the COVID safety procedures in place here. They were not a hassle but were very thorough: you are asked to wear a mask, have your temperature taken and clean your hands with Purell as you walk in. They take your contact info in case later contact tracing is needed. All of the stations have plexiglass protectors and all staff wear masks/visors. Big polish selection and the technicians are always very polite - asking your preferences and helping you move your stuff from spot to spot around the salon. So this place is next door to the place I get my dog groomed so I popped in. I was skeptical because it is not a fancy nail salon, but Natalie did my gel mani and it lasted for a solid 3 weeks and looked great the whole time. A big plus is this place also only charges $30 for a gel so with having to get them done every 3 weeks instead of every two and saving $8-12 a time compared to other salons in the area, I am saving a lot of money. 4 stars because the salon is kind of run down/no soda/wine offered, etc. read more

I have tried many salons in the Arlington area and I am happy to call Royal Nails home! Their service is absolutely amazing and my nails always look perfect for at least the next two to three weeks! Their gel manicure includes parifin wax for free and a nice hand and arm massage. The pedicures are great as well. They take their time so you can relax and don't feel rushed. They also do a great job on eyebrow waxing. I believe a gel manicure is 30 and a pedicure is a little less. One thing to remember is to bring cash as they only let you tip on cash.
