I usually NEVER leave reviews, especially negative reviews for small businesses, but the customer service I had today was the worst I have ever experienced. I had called twice to schedule a basic pedicure two days in a row to avoid a wait. The owner said a time and we came in early, he said there would be a 30 min wait, no problem. We left for 30 mins then came back. The wait was 2 hours. We got there at 2:30 and didn't leave for 5:30 for a basic pedicure. They also charged way more than the website said ($30 and I was charged $65) I asked for a discount for waiting 3 hours and they said $5. They were being rude at the end and not understanding at all. Really disappointed because the service is usually good. Don't recommend unless you are extremely patient and don't mind waiting hours. read more

Horrible experience! My appt was at 4:00. Waited for 45 min, then had a "tech" file down the gel from a previous set. It took 20 min for her to do 3 nails. Then was told to wait for someone else. A new tech came to do the rest of the filing. Then she stopped and I was told to wait. A third tech came over and insisted that I take off the set (that the other two girls filed down), evidently just to kill time. She did this and I was told to wait AGAIN!!! She came back and glued on tips with no nail prep at all. Finally the main guy rushed me to his chair and was aggressively grabbing my hands and acting as if he was annoyed. He had multiple people waiting and asking how long it would be. He was rude and unprofessional. He "finished" my nails in 10 min - again no prep at all! Came here after work for a pedicure . My toes look great. He did an amazing job with the shape. However; the rub down was very minimal. Just a little hot oil for 2 seconds and that was it. We weren't given the option to choose what type of pedicure we wanted. Short staffed, people with appointments shouldn't receive rushed service. read more

I got a gel manicure yesterday and it was amazing. Vivi was very precise but also very efficient. She had my manicure done in 30-45 minutes and I am so happy with her work! She also offered me something to drink while I had my nails done. My technician was Jenny and she literally did exactly what I wanted in the picture. I got there around 6 and didn't know they closed at 7! I checked Google for nail salons & found Orchid Nails had great reviews. The salon is welcoming with white decor, orchid prints & live orchids. The environment is clean & the technicians are seen sanitizing the areas after use. The color samples are beautifully displayed by color groups on color circles which is great for easy selection. Wendy did my pedicure which was very good. She cut my nails down, took care of any rough spots, fixed ingrown issues & her massage nearly put me to sleep. Thank you! Before beginning my manicure, Tommy carefully inspected my nails to make the best recommendation. He made several corrections to my poorly done gel manicure with several breaks in the nails. Have been here several times and last time got acrylics. They were able to accommodate a same day appointment for 3. The acrylics done by Tommy for myself and daughter were done in no time - a bit too fast. There was no real cleaning of the cuticles etc just the acrylics. Tommy seemed to get annoyed with me when I didn't like the shape he did at first which wasn't close to the picture I showed him. He so sped through our services that the two of us had to wait for my other daughter who also was getting acrylics. Hers turned out nicely - the two of us who had Tommy had sloppy jobs. That said, they have lasted well. This can be a good place but be prepared for mixed results. read more

I honestly feel sabotaged bc who does that? Cuts toes to stubs. They were also uneven and not square as requested. The right foot was shorter than the left foot. I got my nails done yesterday by Tommy, and I must say that the experience was an awesome one! He is doing one on one appointments for safety reasons which is a super plus. Tommy is very thorough and he takes his time to make sure your nails are done to perfection, which is something a lot of salons don't do anymore. He keeps an electronic file of what nail polish and powder you use for future reference when you come back and he goes above and beyond for his clients. I recently moved to NoVa and was looking for a new nail place. After an extensive search I found Orchid. They were very accommodating since I had to change my appointment but they made it work. Tommy, I think is his name, did my liquid gel nails or hard gel, he was quick and precise with my nails. I relieve he is the owner so he does get pulled away for phone calls or helping other nail techs so if you want undivided attention you should use another nail tech here. Then things went downhill, and the technician ripped down one side of my big toenail when doing my pedicure. It bled a lot at the time, but I thought it would go away. It took almost a week to heal up, and my toe got infected! The price for the pedicure was $38, which is pretty well priced, but what I got out of it was not worth it.
