She's very attentive and so so so talented, pleasant and sweet. She makes my experience amazing each time. They offer complimentary beverages and their prices are like back in the day! I took a break for personal reasons but I'll be back in my girl chair soon. See you soon Nancy!! Xoxo Rose

One of the things I appreciate most is that she doesn't just focus on making your nails look beautiful, she genuinely cares about the health of your natural nails as well. With both manicures and pedicures she stays meticulous with her work, pays attention to the little details and always delivers on the nail art designs . I love being able to bring in an idea and know that she'll execute it beautifully. 10/10 always. The salon/lounge is top tier with the massage chairs, equipment & products available! Overall: not a terrible experience, but I am not sure if I would return. The staff is friendly, and…read moreI made an appointment online and got seated right away. That's always a plus! But, the value overall is not there. When I walked in, the first woman who approached me told me she would be doing my toes and hands for both of my services. I barely got seated in the spa chair and a walk-in called and the nail tech then told me that she was going to pass me off to somebody else while she handled the walk-in. To be honest, you shouldn't tell me you're prioritizing another client over me, especially when that client isn't even present. The lady that she passed me off to do my toes was very friendly, and the pedicure itself wasn't bad but the paint job wasn't great. I honestly couldn't tell until I got home just how untidy my toe paint was. Even when we started the appointment, she slightly burned my skin while removing my old gel polish from my toes. Therefore, my toe stung through my entire appointment. When it was time to finish my manicure/gel ex set on my hands, I had to repeat myself three times to tell them I wanted French tip. And when you tell nail technicians that you want a short nail, somehow that is really hard to comprehend. I also blame this on the fact that this is now the third nail technician I'm dealing with so it just felt like everything got lost in translation and I really feel like three people totaled my nails and there's no cohesiveness to the final look. My nails aren't terrible and they will do and I'm not a picky person at all. But I am hesitant to come back. I think that there is great potential here and I still think it's a good salon, but maybe just not the one for me.

The paint job was neat and the massage was deep on the calf and feet and felt great! I made an appt for a dip mani but Kieu showed me her nail art and I was sold. She said she was able to do gel nail art on top of dip! The abstract nail art was 10/10. Kieu is super friendly and careful with her painting. If I'm in VA again I would def come see her!

I was charged an extra $10 for cutting my nails and $6 for color, but none of those additional charges were disclosed before the service. I was shocked by the final price. The quality of the manicure was also disappointing. The nail shape was not what I asked for, and the gel polish was not applied close to my cuticles, even though I specifically requested it. Because of the large gap near the cuticles, my nails looked like they had already grown out for 10 days immediately after I left the salon. I don't mind paying for quality work or additional services when I'm informed in advance, but customers deserve transparent pricing and attention to the details they request. Unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed with both the service and the value.

Normally, I don't write negative reviews, but I'm still dealing with the effects of this…read moreexperience, so I feel it's important to share. I went to Metropolitan Nail Bar for a dip polish removal and a new dip manicure. During the removal process, the technician left acetone on my nails for over an hour without checking on them, while working on other clients. My nails began to burn and became very painful. When she returned to remove the remaining polish, I told her it was hurting, but she didn't acknowledge or respond. She then aggressively filed the tops of my nails, to the point where they felt extremely thin, sensitive, and were burning. When applying the new color, there was a noticeable line between where the polish was and wasn't applied. I pointed this out, and she seemed visibly frustrated. Although she added more color, her tone and demeanor came across as annoyed and dismissive. For the next two days, my nails continued to burn, but I was too worried to use more acetone to fix anything, so I left them alone. Once my nails started to grow out, I went to my usual salon to have the dip removed. As I suspected, my nail beds had been filed down excessively. There is now a clear difference between the new growth and the previously filed areas, and my nails are now weak and breaking. Overall, this was a painful experience with lasting damage to my nails. I would not recommend this salon based on my experience.

I feel like I was discussed amongst colleagues, and she laughed before saying she was done (they still looked bad and she knew it). Would not recommend to anyone!
