Came in here requesting a pedicure and manicure. The pedicure was poor quality and had to ask for multiple things to be re-done. When the paint was on, I thought the color was very off so I decided to cross reference the number I asked for with the bottle she used and it was in fact the wrong color. She initially tried to gas light me and tell me it was the right color, but I am very glad I double checked because I was ultimately not happy with it. I got them re-done after much debate an the re-do was so rushed that the paint was very bumpy/uneven and they didn't even bother applying a top coat. They were very rude and unresponsive throughout this process. Additionally, my friend was with me and asked for a very simple color change. Which typically costs $25-$35, but the nail tech said it would be $55 but only AFTER my friend DEMANDED an answer to the question of cost which she had to ask at least 3 times. The nail tech tried to start the service before answering the question, at which my friend was smart enough to pull her hand away physically before receiving the question to her answer. We cross checked the price with the menu, and in fact it should have been $35. A different customer was told that there would be no credit-card payments accepted, because their system was down. So she was forced to use their sketchy ATM in the back and pay in cash. THEY DID NOT TELL US OR ANY NEW CUSTOMERS THIS INFORMATION BEFORE STARTING OUR SERVICE. At which point, we realized they are forcing customers to pay cash against their will. We told them we do not have a debit card, and suddenly they accepted Zelle for everyone else that was still receiving service. Many customers around us experienced similar troubling problems. They were all are very rude over all. A manager of some sort was needed. She didn't ask the shape I liked, just went for rounded -- and when I asked her for square she filed my big toe nail down at an angle so it's like a triangle. Came in before a wedding for a pedi and a dip mani. The pedi was relaxing and the woman did a great job exfoliating and cutting my cuticles. The paint job was neat and the massage was deep on the calf and feet and felt great! I made an appt for a dip mani but Kieu showed me her nail art and I was sold. I came here with two male friends and the three of us had an excellent time getting pedicures / foot massage. We were done in less than an hour, and our nail technicians were great. I got the express pedicure ($33) + callus treatment ($8). I highly recommend getting the callus treatment if your feet get really dry and nasty in the winter. They used a cheese grater to shave off all the dead skin on my feet, HAHA. If it works, it's good enough for me! One of my friends and I are pretty ticklish, so we were laughing a lot throughout this process. My only quip is that I still have some dead skin on my feet and they're not very smooth, but it's much better than what it used to be! My nail tech was very gentle with my feet and gave me very relaxing massages. She was also very speedy with painting my toenails and I thought she did a great job. This was our first time getting pedicures and we thoroughly enjoyed it! What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends. I'm so sorry to leave a bad review because I had so much hope since I spoke with the manager of the location about my appointment but I arrived to the spa with my friend I brought to get a manicure and pedicure and she was going to get a manicure at 10 AM for our appointment. It seemed there was only one nail tech on the floor because the man who did my pedicure did not seem to have any experience with pedicures and another women ended up coming over and fixing the paint he had done, she also pressed on my nail to see if it was dry and smudged it completely and then just put a clear coat on top and did not fix it. I was informed that I would be with a certain tech and was paired with a complete new person last minute who i told that I needed to leave the appointment at 11:40 due to have an appointment elsewhere at 12 in which I was ensure I would make, and I did not leave the salon till 12:30 and missed my appointment all together and had to pay a 99$ fee. My nails have now turned yellow since having the polish on for 2 days and chipped after I asked the tech to do multiple layers to prevent this. I am very saddened about the manicure and pedicure and I still have a lot of hangnails that were not groomed. My friend was given a manicure and had asked for dip but was coerced into receiving regular polish despite asking for dip and then halfway during her manicure the tech left and another women came and put one layer of gel on her nails and then left. Her nails have since chipped off which she knew would happen. I am very disappointed especially because I spent 90$ on this day for nothing I wanted to be met. I will not be returning. Please don't go here. I went in to have my dip removed and do gel instead. The nail tech took an hour slowly taking off my dip and in a way I have never seen another nail tech do. She had me put my nails in a bowl of acetone rather than wrap them, then each time she removed them she would use the auto file/drill and would file into my natural nail. I asked her to stop and only take off the dip nail, and her and the owner were confused. There are multiple spots on over half my nails that are so close to being cut into my skin under my nails. It is sensitive to touch my nails now. They asked if they could paint them to "fix" the problem and I wouldn't allow them to keep working on my nails. I've come here twice now with the same group of friends. The first time we got manicures and now recently just got pedicures done. Both times we called ahead and made appointments since we're a group of 4 and want to give them a heads up. The first time we came only one of us got seated and started on right away. By the time the last person in our group was being seated, the first person finished her manicure. It also seemed like we had to explain our nail designs a couple times to fully understand what we were looking for, even though we had pictures of our designs. One of my friends design ended up looking different from the picture she showed, but it after being there for almost 3 hours, we just wanted to leave. The only reason we came again was because they were offering a 20% discount and we were doing pedicures. Again, we made an appointment to ensure we weren't doing a walk in as a group of 4. When we arrived they seated 2 of us, but didn't get started until maybe 30 minutes after. Once all 4 of us were seated, it was another situation where one person finished her pedicure before our last friend even started. It could be through short staffing, but they seemed to take walk ins at the same time that our appointment was, making the nail techs busier. Mixed feelings as I write this--I have one nail tech here named Kieu who is AMAZING I honestly cannot recommend her enough. I would follow her to any salon!! BUT honestly don't bother going to anyone else. I had the WORST experience here without Kieu. The first time it happened I chalked it up to a "bad day" for them but it happened a second time where I waited forever, was overcharged, & did not get my nails painted in the color I asked for--which I did point out before she dried the gel, and then she refused to redo it. I probably won't be back to this location, it was a pretty average nail salon for the price. I paid $45 plus tip to have my nails painted with gel (gel manicure). While my nails did turn out well other than the jagged edges on my thumbs I had to file down once home, the "manicure" description was misleading. There was no massage, I had lotion placed on my hands prior to leaving and was sent on my way. For $45 for a manicure I could have a much better experience elsewhere. The cleanliness of the salon was about 3/5. The customer service wasn't great. No one was rude but no one spoke to me either. Overall, if you're in a bind and want your nails painted this place isn't bad, but if you're looking for a quality relaxing experience and to get your moneys worth I would look elsewhere. read more

I really wanted to lIke this place because the guy who answered the phone was so nice and they accommodated me coming in on a Sunday but nails have not held up AT ALL! I got the dipping powder in white. I noticed the lady didn't use a base but she didn't need to because it was white. I don't know if that's the problem but I have this crackled looked on my nails that appeared in the first few days and the powder started chipping off two nails in less than a week. That has literally never happened to me and I have been getting powder for two years. Also, I asked whether the white gets dirty really fast and the woman said no but here I am with crackled and dingy looking nails. Like I said, they were very nice but that was a waste of $50 and nice doesn't fix that. Update- the night before my trip the powder chipped completely off and as I sit in the airport, it's completely gone. I'm so disappointed. I didn't hit it or have any trauma to my hands. I went to 820 Pollard Street to get a brazilian waxing, but I went inside the wrong store. The ladies from Ballston Nails and Spa asked me "What can we do for you?" I said "I have an appointment at 2 for a brazilian waxing" the ladies said "Ok, come with me after you check in" I checked in and went right behind the lady that told me to follow her. Once she was half way with the waxing, she told me it was going to be 90 dollars (WHICH THAT IS INSANE FOR A BRAZILIAN WAXING" I replied, but the appointment said $60. She said no! At the end she charged me and wanted me to Venmo her tip, but I told her that I didn't have my new card linked to Venmo yet and if it was ok to leave it on the receipt. She agreed with an attitude. Coming back home I checked my email and I had received a "no show". I called the establishment and I was told that I did not show up, and I had gone next door. I am definently disputing this charge because I feel like I was tricked and acted that I was in their system with them, the lady that did my waxing did not use gloves, then I saw her using tweezers that were not disinfected, and last I don't even know if the stick was actually a new. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR WAXING. I AM STILL IN DISBILIEF THAT I WAS TRICKED ON BEING ON THE RIGHT PLACE AND HOW THEY DON'T KNOW THE BASICS OF WAXING AND $95 FOR A WAXING!!!! Got an acrylic fill-in, and not only was it well done, but it was quick. 45 minutes for a fill-in is so difficult to find! My next visit I was recommended to do dip polish on my natural nail. I was very hesitant because my natural nail is not strong at all, but I went for it. I got gray silver, and it turned out FLAWLESS. Felt the same as acrylic in strength as well as length, but the nail was thinner so it felt more natural. AND, it is GLOW IN THE DARK! I even was able to use my 20% coupon. Let me start off on a positive note. Tyler is definitely great at doing nails. He did a great job. Smoothed everything out and asked me if there was anything I wanted fixed with the shape or size before putting in the final touch. They also offered a drink which was nice. I started off thinking I would give this place a 1 star since I was being charged $4 to take my previous sns off but had to do the work myself by placing hands in that bowl and constantly rubbing my nails..which isn't pleasant for the smell and also the fact that I go do this to relax, not work my own nails. My skin was completely messed up and also looked burnt as seen in the picture. We couldn't find a color that exactly matched the picture which isn't a problem because Tyler looked very hard, the color just wasn't there. However, I wanted a Ombre with the very tip just white as shown in the pic but my nails end up looking pretty much just white. I did let Tyler know that as well when I left because u can hardly see the base color. I wouldn't be so picky but this cost me $65 for sns, $4 to take off my old sns, $8 for a half manicure which I ended up needing only because they had me soak my hands entirely on the acetone and even then the manicure didn't do much. Plus $6 in tip. I paid cash so I got a discount and my bill was $73. For $79 including tip..I should be even more picky. I did enjoy the shape, and the technique and I will go back there one more time to give this place another chance. Hopefully they read this and I will be able to upgrade my review next time around. read more

Update! I went back to fix my original SNS. Tyler was super accommodating and they took me right away. Helen fixed my nails and she did a FANTASTIC job, probably the best SNS dip I've ever had. And she was quick and efficient. You can really tell they care about their customers and want them to be happy. I was super impressed with how they went above and beyond to make me a happy customer. I had Tyler do SNS with tips for me because my nails are stubs and I wanted to grow them out underneath. They turned out beautifully and I'm very happy. SNS is pricey anywhere in north Arlington but here it is for sure a great value. He did a really great job and also asked me several times if I liked the shape and not to be afraid to ask if I want something adjusted.
