Wouldn't recommend. Came here since the reviews were decent and I had a spa finder gift card. I got my first set of gel x. After a single day two fingers lifted. They fixed those ones with builder gel and taking off half the extension. A couple days later every other nail started to lift. Quality is really poor. Came back today with my kiddo with a Groupon for a "couple's pedicure." Originally, I'd scheduled for Friday but had to shift things around when the spa called likesix hours before my appointment, letting me know they needed to reschedule. Fine. Things happen. We arrived today and once again, the staff was very, very nice. The pedicures themselves were fine. In total, took about an hour. The painting was very neat for both of us. I do not think the shaping of my toe nails was what it should be as I requested filing only (aside from one of the broken nails) and I asked for square/straight. I left with a bit of a mix but for the most part, the nail shape is leaning towards round. I opted to upgrade to gel. When I asked about gel on the phone, I was told it would be an $18 charge - fine. However, and I think this was the most disappointing part of the experience, I was charged $15 for gel and $10 to take off the gel I already had on my toes. Now, I find this a bit weird. At most shops, when you're replacing gel with gel, you just pay the gel fee/cost/difference between the regular polish and gel, which is usually like $15-20. But to charge for gel AND taking it off is a bit crazy. I didn't come in with gel then ask for regular paint. I was disappointed by this and the lack of transparency at the beginning. Because HONESTLY, had I known I'd be paying pretty much the same amount for a gel pedicure I could get at my actual fave salon, I would've just gone there. I still tipped generously but I would've preferred more transparency. Also, no beverages or any niceties were offered, unfortunately. read more

I've been here several times and they always do a great job on my nails, the staff is friendly, it's clean, they have a good selection of polishes and they will fix your gel manicure if it chips within 7 days. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great place to get your nails done. read more

Arlington VIP Spa is the absolute best, I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! I have been coming here for the past year and it's my favorite form of self care. The spa is very clean and cozy, with strong massage chairs for pedicures+a scrub/massage treatment thats super relaxing. Ness has been giving me facials for over a year now. It's my self care time and she's always ready to keep me on the right track. She's improved my skin immensely and knows what you need. The normal pedicure is amazing also. They go above the simple steps and do a scrub of your calves and feet. The oils and lotion applied also really make a difference after removing the dead skin cells. Then wait for it, a warm towel on your legs to increase the absorption of the lotions. You pay extra for all that at most other spa's but it's just the normal pedicure. Tried something new, the gel nails, had a couple of nails that split high up and were going to be painful. Thankfully this was a godsend. This is my go to place, everyone is great and love how clean and welcoming the environment is to you. I tried to book an appointment after buying a Groupon. No where on the Groupon does it say that the Groupon isn't accept on weekends ANYWHERE - many businesses will list the days the voucher is valid (I added an example photo from another business), so I specifically picked this place because there didn't seem to be a redemption issue for weekends. When calling, after going through the appointment times and booking stuff I let her know that I had a Groupon and she tells me that it's only valid on weekdays and not weekends. When I asked where it said that on the Groupon, she responded with something along the lines of: "It says you have to make an appointment on the Groupon. Businesses won't list their hours of operation or information like that." - which didn't even make sense and had nothing to do with what I was asking. If you are going to have redemption conditions, LIST THEM. Otherwise, it's so unprofessional to not honor the voucher based off of conditions that no one even knows about. read more

Very pleased with my deluxe pedicure experience! I purchased a voucher via Groupon after months of burnout at work and failure to self-care. I had never gotten a pedicure before (though I have had a few manicures) and wanted to treat myself to a positive experience! Arlington VIP Spa delivered! My nail technician was quiet but friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxing. This wasn't a super crowded or busy space, which was nice because I was able to catch up on some reading without interruption. I think my pedicure turned out great, and I loved the added touches--snacks and drinks available. My technician was also super attentive, double checking her work throughout the process. I don't know how she did it all without a break for her poor shoulders! I will be back! read more

Would I go again, most certainly not, especially paying the full price? (I used Groupon, but you can't use Groupon on the weekends). While the manicurist was most pleasant, I don't think she's licensed or skilled enough. My nails were mis-shaped, and my cuticles are still noticeably rough. The "pedicurist" was extremely rough with my feet and toes. When she finished, she just got up and left. She did not tell me that someone else would do the manicure or even seat me at the manicurist table. The salon is cute and very clean, but the staff didn't make me feel appreciated as a customer. Best nail place in Arlington hands down. Incredibly relaxing environment with better prices than the Vietnamese nail places around as well as the other "spas". As someone who has been to pretty much every nail place in atown, tommy, fancy places in ballston etc, this place is the BEST. If you go here for a mani you should ask for Destiny. I have a nail salon one block from my condo, however, I drive ten minutes to Arlington VIP Salon because I never feel rushed here, Ness and her staff extend a welcomng disposition and make me feel welcomed and their job during my appointment is to make me feel comfortable,relaxed and pampered. The biggest difference between getting a pedicure at home and at a salon is the technique. This can be seen in how well the nail polish is applied to the edges and how thoroughly the cuticles are removed. Look at the picture. This photo was taken before the nail polish was even completely dry, so nothing was applied to the edges. And she didn't even provide my feet with proper moisturizer. I came just two weeks ago to have a gel mani and pedi done as I saw a great deal on Groupon and thought I'd try it out. I literally want to cry. The nail is completely chipping and the worst part is the woman made it so thick on my nail that it created a hard shell that is literally coming off my nail bed. I've never had my nails done this badly before and I regret ever coming here. I came to get gel so I wouldn't have to worry about my nails while on vacation. These nails are chipping left right, center, and literally coming off my actual nail bed after just a little less than two weeks. TWO WEEKS! I'm so upset. When you enter it's clean, and they take the tools out of new packaging. Everyone is masked as well. They offer drinks, have relaxing music allowing you to relax and enjoy the moment. Went to Arlington VIP Spa for 45 minute facial, deluxe pedicure and eyebrow waxing. NES did facial and waxing and was very professional and did not rush anything. I think she even got all the ELTA MD zinc oxide sunscreen out of my pores--. Eyebrows are shaped and no longer a bushy mess. Linda did my pedicure--best vibrating pedicure chair I've had in last 10 years--very relaxing. Great selection of colors, and she uses a new sealed kit of sponges, etc on each customer. Ness was nice. I love the fact that she used organic natural products. I would have preferred if the steamer to have an aromatic oil scent )eucalyptus) as opposed to just plain water. The facial steam water and the first set of cleansing cloths did have a slight smell of eggs. Not sure why. Found this place via Groupon and I got the 60 minute facial and pedicure. The woman who took care of me (I think her name is Lis) did an absolute fantastic job with both the facial and pedicure. It was a very relaxing and positive experience. The salon is very clean and all of the tools are packaged and newly grabbed for each customer. I will definitely be back here and will recommend to everyone I know! My appointment ran past closing time but that did not stop the sweet owner from taking her time and making sure my nails looked great.
