I have been coming here for years! Since 2019, this shop has never disappointed me. I work with my hands a lot, so having sturdy, beautiful nails is a must. They have very talented nalo techs who give you exactly what you're looking for, and even if you come in without a specific idea, they will make sure to give you something you will love. I highly recommend this shop as one of -- if not the best -- shops in Bakersfield! All of the techs are very talented, these specific sets were done by Wendy and Yen.

You can tell they truly care about their work and customers. TAN Absolutely went above and beyond with my nails! Every single time i go he truly does amazing, takes his time and cares so much about his work. He loves his job and always comes up with the most beautiful set . Tan is amazing and so are all of the employees there. All of them are very caring and amazing at what they do. I love the owners , great company! Tan is your man for any type of design :) They always make you feel very comfortable and get the job done! These are my GENDER REVEAL NAILS 10/10 I will always come back !!!

YIKES this is a long one... Came in excited, smiling and feeling good and friendly. I asked for a simple gel fill with a cuticle cut and a classic soak pedicure no massage no scrub just get her done and get me out. $120 later and a frown upside down. My finger nails look like TRASH to say the least. My nails looked so much better when I came in needing a fill. I've been here a least a hand full of times before with Tan who is great btw. The lady that did my service today I've gotten her before, my first time, and I just thought she was having a bad day that day because Tan had to take over. Today, I unfortunately had the displeasure of her services again. This lady was in fact the same ol' aggressive, matter of fact, my way attitude from the start, very rude and seemed busy and in a rush with hardly anyone to attend to in the shop. Tan was busy this time around so couldn't get to him. When I would specify the little things I liked with my nail shape or color she wouldn't let me finish my sentence I was interrupted many times with an "ok ok ok I can do for you no worry." I had to correct the things she had said "ok" to me many times before and her demeanor was bothered when I would ask to fix something and she would talk under her breath. I couldn't care less what people say about me, but be professional it's obvious ma'am. I specifically told her I would keep my original natural shape square/round but only if my nails were long enough I would like a soft almond and with confidence she said "yea they are I can do it for you" I stressed that if she could not achieve it please do not do it I'll keep the natural square shape I came in with until they grow because they look like stubs if it's short almond. Well, she couldn't achieve the shape and kept going shorter because she kept making the length uneven and she blamed me saying "your nails are too short for almond shape I can do it next time." Like girl I told you don't do it if it's too short they'll look like stubs. After all the corrections I ultimately figured I would have to get them fixed somewhere else anyways and I let her just finish so I could get away from her energy. I didn't look up when she asked to check at a certain point because she would hold my hand to her view so I could barely see the mistakes she knew she made. Also, my cuticles I payed extra for were cut AFTER the fill which looked so awful looked like I needed another fill. I also didn't like that she also seemed to have an opinion in my color choices (natural soft colors) literally picked out three and she would make a face at it, hahaha like dang girl, are you ok is nobody checking on you because I think they should. Also, this place is NOT sanitary, she would leave in between service to help other customers I seen her touch money and dirty things and then came back to touch me or another persons hands with no gloves or sanitizer at least.. My pedicure came out decent, the lady was nice until she wasn't, I don't know what they were talking about and I don't want to assume but because I was moved to the pedicure seat they were conversing and would weirdly look at me in between and I even noticed the other workers look over, it was so weird and uncomfortable. I don't find myself to be a difficult person, I'm shy and anxious I try to be passive to not hurt others. So I mentioned to the pedicure lady that I have a cut on my bottom heel and I asked very kindly to avoid both of my heels all together and I did not want a scrub or massage just focus on foot soak and toes. Easier job for her right. . I reminded her twice and she looked dead in my face and said annoyingly "yea I remember in my head that you tell me" and kept pointing to her head aggressively lol. Soooo... when it came to that part of that service guess what, she was applying the callus lotion to the pumice and headed to my heels hahaha I said no no no ma'am remember you said YOU remembered right. Even through that unfortunate experience I still tipped although I left feeling overly frustrated and taken back at the pure ignorance and lack of respect some people have. I will miss Tan, but will definitely not miss this LOUSY performance of service or the energy of this establishment.

TREAT YOURSELF! Get the "Pamper me pedicure" hot towel around the neck is such a great touch to the pedicure. I was so relaxed

Always a pleasurably nice visit when I come here. I usually just get pedicures but today I received a fill. AJ took care of me and she was as super nice, attentive and did a great job on my Nails. Not to mention she was fast, which I love in anything that I'm getting done. Quickly out is my favorite.

Came here for a shellac/gel manicure and regular pedicure. I was pretty happy when I walked out, as they did take walk ins and my service was pretty quick. What I'm not happy about is the gel didn't even last a full week before it started lifting and peeling! I don't know if their nail polish is just old or something was off with their technique that I didn't notice, but def not happy that it didn't last. The pedicure itself is still ok, hence the 2 stars. There's just too many places around to justify coming back tho when it doesn't last long

Do not get a pedicure here! The nail tech kept insisting to get chrome on my pedicure and to do the luxury pedicure, I just wanted a classic gel pedicure! She began my pedicure at 11:57am and finished by 12:13pm. Took absolutely no time cleaning up my nails and only cut them once I asked. Don't bother coming here. read more

I feel like my feet came out worst than I came in. This was a new girl, never seen her before. Horrible! Didn't feel like she put in the effort for the scrub or massage. I didn't think my heels needed love going in, but after my service....why do I feel like it's rough? It wasn't worth the money. I don't recommend coming here. Go somewhere else. Don't waste your money here. read more

I requested a gel mani/pedi with gel builder on my nails. Two men worked on me at the same time while I sat in the pedicure chair. That was annoying to begin with because you can't enjoy your pedicure when you have to move your arm across your body every 2 min. The man doing my mani turned the chair massager off twice and my nails are so thick it looks like I have gumdrops on my nails. I also asked if he could clean up my cuticles and he said they don't do that-they only file the nail to make them even. The man doing my pedi was filing my skin more than my nails and kept stopping during my leg massage to converse to the other man in their native language. I've been coming here for a while, but this is the last time. I'm so disappointed. read more

Came here with a friend to get a quick pedicures. Everyone here was SO nice! They did an awesome job, will definitely be back! They take card however it's a three dollar charge. Otherwise there's an ATM in there the only charges a dollar so if you're going to use card it's better to use the ATM to pull out cash for them. read more

I went there on 06/24/23 I had a regular pedicure and massage that cost $55.00 and it took 2 hours and this is what it looks like. My granddaughter was with me and had gel manicure and pedicure and she kept advising them that it wasn't right They ended gouging her for $150.00 and she wasn't happy with the results at all STAY AWAY!!!!! read more

I have my nails done every 2-2.5 weeks. I use gel. I'm older so my nails aren't in prime condition, but I've never had any issues. I had my go to shop & went to her for over 4 years. I recently moved so I'm in need of a great nail tech who knows how to work on natural nails. I went to a shop by Albertsons. I lucked out & got a rock star tech! But, as it turns out, you can't walk in here & scheduling him is next to impossible with my job. So, I began going to Royal Nails because I could walk in after school let out & get in. I REALLY like this convenience. Unfortunately, this hasn't turned out well. The gel lasts 2-3 weeks. But, not the gel application I'm getting here ‍ There is always a nail or two that chips almost immediately. Like anyone else, I immediately go back in to repair this! I pay for the service & tip around 10-15 bucks! I want good service.... Friday I had my nails done. Today I reached in my purse & a nail chipped. Like WTH? Who wants to constantly go in for a fix? They've told me before it would be 2-3 hours before they could fix the nail so I just walked around with a chipped nail until I wanted to change the color. While he was fixing it he asked if I bite my nails. Yeah, I pay 50 bucks every couple of weeks & immediately go home & begin biting my nails. Anyway, they were speaking their foreign tongue talking smack on me. I didn't bother to tell them my friend who's done my nails for 4 years has been teaching me the language. I was laughing so hard at them I thought with generous tips they'd do a good job! But, alas, that's not the case. I won't be back even if these nails chip before I'm due. If you're just looking for a one off, I'm sure they're great! But for repeat business, in my case, I'll go elsewhere.... read more

So I had a gift card for this nail salon and had never been and thought I'd try them out. It was the day before my trip to India. Me and my daughter went and got pedicures. I got a gel pedicure and she got just a regular pedicure in the cute kids chair! They were patient and kind with my 6 year old and did an amazing job on my toes! They took their time but I also wasn't sitting there forever so that my daughter was bored. The real highlight is that I got this pedicure on February 13th and then spent a month in india and mostly wore sandals and my toenails were perfect the whole time! Not even a chip! This is the after picture on March 23rd. That's a long time with no pedicure and I have to say they still look pretty decent! Will definitely be making this my go to spot! read more

One day I was looking for a better place for my nails and the cost,I was tired of paying $65. For a fill so I went to Royal Nails & Spa and they told me it was $35. I said what??? So I went there and I love the work how they did on my nails been there for about 2 months and I love it there every one is friendly and nice the place it self is very nice and relaxing I been seeing a lady her name is Tara she does wonderful work I will be continuing going there.. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! Horrible service, very unsanitary and dirty. I got an acrylic full set & the man who did my nails dug his nail really hard into my cuticle to tuck it, then used a dirty used nail file over it. I got infected on two fingers and it is very painful. They refused to refund me my money & offered to "fix it". Why would I want products on my already infected nail?! Make it make sense. read more

The lady I got was very nice but didn't understand anything I said. She didn't even out my nails on both pedi and mani and didn't get all my cuticles for my hands which is why I went. I could have done everything she did at home. I wanted French tip on both but since I saw she didn't even anything out all my nails were different sizes I could not get it, they would of looked horrible. I had her fix a couple but she kept asking me is that good? Like do you not know how to do a manicure lady ? I gave up went home and fixed them myself. Definitely didn't tip SPEACIALLY since they charged my daughter extra without telling her it would be so much of a price difference to go from shirt to long acrylics. Will never go back read more

Always have the best service and all the employees there are extremely polite! They make sure your satisfied, offer free beverages, bring you all the nail color samples to choose from while your waiting! Never too long of a wait (I normally go on mondays so not sure about the weekends but they will squeeze you in) By far my favorite nail place to go to in Bakersfield. Love my new nails!! read more

I always come here. Every 2-3 weeks. It is close to home and familiar. I bring hubby in all the time too. I have recommended it to others.. I am not sure I can do that anymore. The staff over the last year, year and a half have really changed over and all the nicer ones have left. The ones left seem very unhappy, do not interact to include even a hello or thank you anymore. Just grunts. They seem bothered if you do not want a high end package that day. The price sheet gets thrown down by staff onto their table and you then feel an inch high. Maybe they are overworked? But, I always go when it is not very busy and the staff 'not working' are always in a corner on their phones. Sometimes at high volume too. Not so relaxing. It has just changed. I have to take a star off. The manager is sweet. Not sure how much of a handle she has on her staff but at times when she is working, she will sometimes offer you a water or soda. I've been going to this nail salon for years. I came here prior to Lam's current management also. People confuse this location with the one at the Marketplace! I've been to that one also and I came back to this one because I enjoy the customer service and how they do my nails. Khan and Tina are always the two that do my manicure and pedicure. She straight up Told my mom that she had to put her baby outside in the heat and we had no I left to watch her she is a year old and that's not how customers should be treated. Drop by this place and tried their services, no regret, highly recommended. They have a relaxing and calm atmosphere. Did the Royal pedicure and feels good with free hand massage too. The experience was pretty good. Massage wasn't as in depth as other places are. I was asked if I wanted the shiny gel on my toes and hands, I declined. My toes looked fine but my manicure looked rough. They didn't smooth them out just my toes. A little disappointing. I'm honestly very disappointed. I've been growing out my nails for a good year and 1/2. I was going to another nail salon but they kept cutting me. I loved dip powder .. The technician convinced me to do acrylic (turns out for convenience). At first I was happy until, the acrylic & my natural nail separated. I never had an issue until now. This most recent set was relatively new as you can see that there's very little growth. The top part broke off .. my natural nail didn't. My middle & thumb finger broke after 4 days!!!! My facial was canceled hours before the service because the esthetician got sick. This is understandable with the state of the world. However, they didn't have anybody else to provide the service. Well, no problem. Let me still get my 10 AM massage. I get to the salon at 10 AM. Yelp, says they open at 9 am but nobody is there. I say at about 10:01am Karina shows up. She needs about 10 minutes to prepare before we can start the massage. I'm not in a rush, so no problem. My 90 minute massage was cut down to probably about 75 minutes. When I confronted her about it, she did takeoff $10. But many people would not say anything at all. I found this to be unethical. The whole thing was rather disappointing.

I also received a few extras like a facial mask and aromatherapy that really added to such a relaxing experience. For me the one thing that can make or break a massage is the way the therapist handles the sheet and my privacy and Karen did her very best to make sure the sheet was tucked in all the right places. I would absolutely recommend Karen if you are looking for a professional and relaxing spa experience! I will definitely be back after next semester!

My guilder gel wasn't as smooth was I had hoped and had a few noticeable bumps, and the gel polish started chipping after three days, which was disappointing considering the service. I spent $150 for both services. I'm willing to give them another chance because everyone was so kind and welcoming, and I'm hopeful my next visit will have a better outcome.

I rarely go to get a pedicure and manicure, but if I did, I would not go back to this place. Even though the interior was lovely, and the music was nice, the atmosphere was not pleasant at all. During the time I was there, the lady manager/ owner was yelling at her employees. The argument went on for several minutes in both English and I assume Vietnamese. Then during my pedicure, this same lady manager/owner was standing over my manicurist giving her directions. It not only made the manicurist nervous, it made me very very uncomfortable. I went to this place on a typical Bakersfield afternoon ... 100 degrees in the shade. I was not only looking forward to a relaxing time, but cool relief from the heat. The place was like an oven. When I asked the manager/owner if the air conditioning was working, she told me that it was already turned on. But after nearly one hour at the place, with my feet in hot water, I felt like was in a sauna. Not my idea of a cool afternoon. I also think that management in this place may be pretty shady. While I was getting my manicure-pedicure, two customers complained that they were not getting the 10% discount they had been promised. I don't really know what the deal was, but these two ladies seemed pretty upset. Combined with what happened during my manicure-pedicure, I felt even more uncomfortable. [By-the-way - the manicure-pedicure was really good.] The final nail in the coffin (no pun intended) happened when I went to pay. This place DOES NOT take credit cards. Instead, they pointed me to an ATM that charges to dispense cash! For a place that looks classy, this was really tacky. Also when I was checking out, the charges were significantly higher than I expected. I asked for a simple manicure and pedicure. But this place charged me for extra services without telling that they intended to do so. Unfortunately, there was not a clearly posted price list, and my manicurist didn't speak good enough English to explain that what she was doing involved extra charges. In short ... I would not recommend this place and I will never return in the future. If they don't change, I wouldn't be surprised to see them close their doors. I can't imagine that I am the only customer who has had such a nightmare experience. read more

This was the most disappointing pedicure or should I say attempted pedicure. I understand the place was busy but watching them start at least 3 other people that came in after us was very frustrating. Took my 9 year old daughter for a back to school pedi and ended up walking out after being seated for 45 minutes and everyone around us getting pedicures that came in after us. I would say they needed better organizational skills. Also, since waiting so long I watch more than a few tubs being cleaned without sanitizer. Just wiped down with the same towel that was on the foot rest of the person before. EW! read more

Where do I even start. They're amazing! I got the lucky #7 pedicure. All together it lasted almost 2 hours. They were so thorough in their work. I was a little afraid of coming here because people were saying the gel is lumpy but I did not have that problem at all. They said that it was customer satisfaction guarantee so if I didn't like my gel they would either fix it or not charge me so I decided to give it a try!
