We went here on Easter for dim sum and everything was delicious! We ordered too much to identify everything, but it was all of the dim sum staples. The food was fresh and had great flavor. Service is truly horrible here. I don't know if it is because I went during lunch time but I waited over 45 minutes to get my food. Everything was ordered through ChowBus on an iPad on table. The waiter button doesn't seem to be active because I clicked it a couple of times and never been answered. I had to flag down waiter myself to ask on timing. The waiter told us he was new and will do his best to find out. He never came back to my table.. I got very impatient and decided to take my order to go. I walked by a table where order tickets were just laid out just to flag waiter to tell them I'd like to switch my dine in to take out. There clearly is no organization at this restaurant. Came back home to Texas and was in need of a good "dim sum" fix. Came across this place and thought it was worth a try and I'm glad to say I wasn't disappointed. Food was fresh and hot! We ordered the salt and pepper shrimp, fried flat rice noodles with beef, pork and shrimp shumai and steam rice roll with shrimp. Everything was spot on. The salt and pepper had a nice presentation but the taste was just ok for me. Everything else was amazing. Service was great, perks of getting here right when they open! The person on the phone kept repeating none were available today. I tried asking in both English and Mandarin. After saying once again none were available today, they hung up on me. A truly authentic Chinese food that serves great varieties of delicious food. This new restaurant is BYOB and served dim sum as well. This restaurant is the only place I know that serves crispy deboned chicken stuffed with shrimp (call ahead for this dish because it does take awhile to perfect this dish.) We also had their fried egg tofu with seafood, fried pumpkin fries in salted egg yolk, crispy garlic dungeness crab, beef flat noodles, stirred fried eggplant, and Chinese hamburger (Pork in Beijing sauce and Roujiamo, they make it with a flaky pastry as the bun then stuff with tender pulled pork). Everything was flavorful and delicious. The owners were very friendly and attentive while we were there. We're definitely going back for dim sum and other dishes. read more

If you can, come here with a group of people to sample their dishes. We were only able to try 3 dishes and all of it tasted like elevated home cooked food; not overly salty and perfect balance of flavors. I had the dry pot cabbage, pork chop in Beijing sauce and claypot fish with tofu. My toddlers could not have enough of the pork chop. We had some left overs for the next day and we recreated the pork chop with scrambled eggs and omg it tasted so good too! Service was amazing! Came here through my cousin's recommendation. I was unimpressed with the ordering system using a tablet. Majority of the foods had no pictures, the dishes had no description except for their names. Bring back the regular menu please! From a customer's point of view, it took a lot longer to scroll through the tablet, which periodically froze, than a menu with item descriptions and pictures. There was no enticement to order any dish for lack of the aforementioned. We ordered three plates and they came out quickly. Two of the items were good and the third one was a miss because we didn't really know what we were getting. The whole experience was very non personable. The far wall of the dining room were empty shelves and there were empty refrigerated displays on another wall. The atmosphere was just bleak and there was only one other table at peak dining hour. Would give them another try if they change back to a paper menu and liven up the place. read more

Had a great time at Royal Kitchen last weekend but couldn't figure out why there weren't more people dining there. This is a great new spot for traditional Chinese food and they have dim sum all day. All the dim sum was freshly made - even at 7 o'clock at night - which is unusual but was greatly appreciated. We love dim sum so it's nice to have another place in town to enjoy. The regular entrees were good too - especially the salt and pepper shrimp. I did notice that the meat quality is much better than most Chinese restaurants in the area but they didn't pass that cost along in the menu. Everything was reasonably priced. The staff was also very attentive. They're still in a soft opening so the waitress wasn't able to answer all our questions but she followed through and brought the owner over to help. All in all, Royal Kitchen is a solid choice for Chinese in Plano. read more

Worst service and rude staff!! We were seated by a woman pointing a finger directing us to sit ourselves at a far corner table across the room. No one came by the table. We even tried to flag down few servers but were timely ignored. After 20 minutes with no menu, water nor any acknowledgment....We left never to return!!!! read more

The food was amazing, the service was superb, the owner is soooo sweet and very accommodating, the atmosphere felt like a very close intimate family resturant. We flew from out of the state to try the duck, we waited an hr and it was worth it and to watch the chef cut it. The duck was delicious and not to fatty, the crepe was so light that you just want to keep eating more, the noodles tasted so flavorful, the veggies tasted like home. The food and service was comforting, it was a pleasure of meeting you and ty again for a great night. I would definitely come back here when I'm back in town & reccomend it. We ordered crispy chicken stuffed with shrimp (yum!!!, never had this before as Chinese foodie), soup dumpling (excellent), peaking duck (perfect wrapper and souce) cauliflower and some dim sum.
