I live near this laundromat and have been a customer for a long time. In this time I have seen…read morenumerous employees work here and have witnessed the deterioration of this business. Every week there are fewer and fewer machines available to use. The washers are always out of service due to lack of maintenance, dryers barely dry clothes no matter how many quarters you add. There is soap residue on nearly all machines from lack of cleaning on the staff's part. When one of my acquaintances complained about the lack of water in one of the washers, an employee responded by saying she shouldn't complain because the machines here have more water and work better than other laundromats in the area. Whether this is true or not, it shows poor mannerism and customer service as the response is rude and off putting. Employees are always gossiping about customers instead of cleaning up.

When I picked up my items that evening, I saw the night-shift employee in the back and asked for her name. She refused and said, "You left your review, you spoke to the manager, I don't have to give you my name." I found this extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience, she was more focused on the review than the customer. It was also very telling that she knew exactly who I was. The manager must play the camera to see how many comforters were taken out of there. You cannot be a thief in charge of people's property. There appears to be theft within the system, and the manager needs to be aware before this turns into a major lawsuit. This is the second time my comforter is being stolen in this place. The first time was five years ago and I thought the thief was no longer there. They are stealing over there. You need to be extremely careful trusting them with your clothing or belongings.

Extremely Disappointed and Concerned…read more I had a deeply troubling experience with Village Cleaners in Clovelly off New Hampshire Road. My daughter visited today to help me drop off clothes for dry cleaning. She politely asked for pricing and was met with vague responses from the owner, who said prices for women's dress suits "depend on how she feels," the material, or whether she was "in the mood to work." Despite my daughter stating she was happy to pay, the owner still refused service or to provide a clear price. Concerned, I stopped by myself after work. The owner again would not commit to a clear price, saying she "might have to do too much work" and arbitrarily quoted $20 or more per suit. When I asked if her prices change based on who walks in, what car they drive, or what their skin color is, she offered no reassurance. As a local resident, I'm extremely disappointed to see this kind of inconsistent and discriminatory behavior from a small business meant to serve the community. Everyone deserves fair treatment--regardless of appearance. I urge others to consider this when deciding whether to support this establishment.

Mr. Kim is incredibly meticulous and detailed oriented. When altering skirts and dresses, he doesn't just shorten or lengthen them, he thoughtfully adjusts them with your body shape and fit in mind, which makes a huge difference. He clearly knows fabrics well and understands exactly how each material should be cleaned and handled. Although his English is not fluent, he is always friendly and professional and takes great care with everything--from everyday clothing to more delicate items. Turnaround time has always been reasonable, and my clothes consistently come back clean, pressed, and looking fabulous. :)

But, the cost for three shirts, two suit jackets, and one pair of pants was about $37. Also, extra points because my items were ready first thing the following day. I'll admit that I originally came here because I needed a pair of pants altered. Unfortunately, I could not use the alteration services because I need 2- to 3-business day turnaround. While I have not tried a lot of dry cleaning places in the area, I have a feeling this will be my go to spot.
