I have been going to Edna's for over 11 years. I have gone to several cleaners previously and have to say this cleaner is the one you can trust with all your garments. Attention to detail and the ability to satisfy your needs as best as possible are unique in this industry. An example of this on a week night-I had two items that needed zippers replaced. It was about 7 PM, so I figured I would have to come back the next day. The door was open, so I thought I could at least drop the garments. Edna (who I believe is the owner) was there, and she came to the door. I asked if they were still open, and she welcomed me to give her my garments. I explained the problem and that I had a function in two days. She took the garments and asked me to come back in 15 minutes-I was wowed by that as it was already late. Fifteen Minutes later, she explained the difficulty in doing what I wanted and then explained the workaround she was proposing. I agreed, and five minutes after I left with my garments in hand. Good quality, good hours, good quality work, located on Rockville Pike with a lots of parking spaces and they are quick. They are inexpensive compared to the other companies that will try to rob you blind, but not cheap because their work quality is so fine. I've gotten coats, suits, dresses all cleaned. This is the only place that I hem all my jeans for $7! Right as you walk in, they hear the chime, and are ready to serve you. They even have candy out by the registers! Drop off your things, take your green slip, and come back on the date to pay. So simple. Must go! read more

I tried this place out recently, it seemed like a good place. The people were not overly friendly, but not really unfriendly either. I got a suit and comforter cleaned for a total of ~$40, so take it for what it is worth. They both came out clean and had no problems, but this is the only time I have used them. I'll go back, unless I have problems. Long story short, based on a limited sample size, they seem to be good. read more

I've been coming here for about 3 years but I don't regularly dry clean/launder so it's just off and on. I've never had a complaint with the laundry, dry cleaning or the occasional sewing job that they have done for me until a couple of weeks ago. I'm in the military but I don't often wear the dressier uniform, usually after it gets worn I get it cleaned then stick it in the closet until the next time I need it, maybe weeks, maybe months later. Unfortunately the last time I picked my shirts up I didn't look at them before sticking them in the closet. When I had to go to a conference a couple of weeks ago I didn't notice until I was unpacking them that all three had been less-than-carefully pressed. There were random small wrinkles hard pressed on the front of all 3 shirts, so I looked sloppy. Bad on me for not checking them more closely when I picked them up, but it would be nice if they had better QC in the first place. They are one of the few decent cleaners around here that have next day dry cleaning available. They saved us when my husband's suit needed cleaning with little warning recently. Ever since we moved to Rockville 20 years ago, we have used Edna's. It is a neighborhood place where they quickly learn your name. They have convenient hours, good location with plenty of parking and provide quality work. Several times I have taken items with difficult stains and they almost always manage to get rid of the stains. We also get our pants hemmed by their seamstress. I started coming here since it's located in front of my home and the dry cleaning is decent. The past few items I had brought in however left me speechless. A few months back I bring in 2 blazers to be dry cleaned and I receive one of them back with a broken button. Now, recently I brought in 2 dress pants to get zippers repaired and hemmed. One zipper still keeps breaking open and just yesterday I go and wear the 2nd pants that should have been repaired just to pull up the zipper and realize it's still broken! All of this including dry cleaning was $50! This is very upsetting and idk where else to go since Zips is pretty bad at tailoring etc.. read more

Meh, our cleaner recently closed. In the search for a new one, I gave Edna's a try. Shirts were poorly done with the collar button bent open from the automatic pressing machine. Premium pricing (which is ok), non-premium laundry and dry cleaning, which is not. read more

Reasonable service and price, but the ladies who work there seem to be always in bad mood and would rather be somewhere else. After several visits, I decided not to come back here. I drop off and pick up my laundry at the end of long working days and would prefer to deal with people who make me feel welcome and appreciate my business. I have had my shirts, suits dry cleaned/laundered for nearly 50 years at multiple locations in various locales. I wear a fresh dress shirt 5-6 times per week. I went here based on reviews... other cleaners have lower reviews. The pricing was good (not the cheap $2 for everything place) but reasonable and so therefore I expected quality. I took a jacket, dress pants, and a duvet here. The jacket was fine, the pants were pressed and looked fine. My duvet however was covered in little balls, it had pilling all over that was gray - my duvet is white! Also this was a brand new duvet, which now looks like it has been around, looks worn. I was heartbroken as I was looking for THE perfect duvet, and it was a pretty penny (over $500). I called after I got home and saw how awful and OLD my duvet now looked, I was told it was because of the cotton itself, the material from which it was made. I'm sorry but this is a very high quality duvet, there is no reason why it should come out looking that way, with balls of lint everywhere that nowhere is smooth to the touch, and that are a different color than the actual duvet. Not sure how it happened, but dont think the duvet is at fault ha. Will not be coming back. Also, both ladies when I delivered and picked up were a bit rude, or more, they really did not seem like they wanted to be there. read more
