Pardon the construction in the area, I had them hem a pair of pants, $25 and they did it in a timely manner, less than a week. Friendly prompt and reasonable prices. read more

I've been coming here since I moved in the area. The woman who works here has always been helpful and does her best to provide the service I need whether it's dry cleaning or altering. The prices are ok but could be better. It is located in the shell gas station which threw me off initially but it's still convenient. Recently, I've been noticing a pattern of her uncertainty to dry clean something whether it's beaded, embroidered, or has fur. I have never had this issue with my old dry cleaner which has now prompted me to look elsewhere for a new dry cleaning home. I don't want to have to go to several dry cleaners for different things and I need a one stop shop. read more

Extremely pleasant staff. They make you feel like family. I would definitely recommend.

Just like Katie's review, I also have two set of dry cleaners - one for my cheaper items, and another one for my more expensive items. I've been to a few in the area and I finally stuck with this one. The folks running that place are so nice. They are on the expensive side but the output of their work is quality stuff. I have brought them silks, satins, wool coats, suits, leathers, down blankets and they have always come back pristine and perfect. They are very meticulous about their work and if there's something wrong with it, they're nice enough to redo the batch. The turn around time have been 2 days for me on average unless it's a big item or needs to be special. When I brought my down blanket in, it was in a mess. It was ready in 4 days. Leather items need to be sent out and will take longer. read more

Highly recommend this place. I get any alterations and hemming done. Young is always there with a smiling face and meticulous about getting everything right. For the past 10 years, I have never been disappointed in her work. Recently she helped me adapt my Tumi backpack with straps on the back so I can put it on my suitcase. read more

I brought my wedding dress here for dry cleaning and had it competely ruined with blue ink stains. The beading on the dress was also damaged and there was thread coming off in many places. The cleaners tried to clean the dress again twice and every time they just made it worse and caused further damage. Owners were denying any responsibility and were very disrespectful. After talking to our lawyer and pressing them to refund me for few months they finally agreed to go through their insurance. However, the refund they gave me was far from what I was offered for the dress on a used wedding dress forum and they refused to match it even though I had a proof of the offer. They may be an okay dry cleaning but I would NOT recommend to anyone to bring their wedding dress here. read more

I have been going here for years. My father first went here, and now the rest of the family goes here. They always ask about the family and they do great alterations as well as great cleaning jobs. They aren't the cheapest place, but they stand by their work which I really appreciate. If something comes back and it's not perfect, they'll call you and let you know they're fixing it which I really appreciate. I am a (bad) seamstress and she will take extra care with the items that I make myself, which makes me feel confident leaving my treasured possessions with them. read more

No complaints. Had no idea they were even *here*, given that they are located, along with a wine store and taco bar, in what looks like just a gas station, but now that I know about them they are the most convenient place for my dry cleaning. I was nervous when the first piece I brought to them was a fully sequined evening dress, that belongs to a friend no less, but it came back perfect. They are also really nice, friendly, and helpful. read more

I've been to a lot of dry cleaners. Some lose things, others don't care about you and your clothing, and some just let the irons and presses ruin your clothes. Jung is so diligent in reviewing, handling and counting the clothes that I never fear a loss (another cleaner lost one part of my wife's favorite Chanel suit). She also talkes care of sewing holes and buttons that have already occurred or come off, and is friendly and professional. This place definitely costs a little more than other places, but if you are sensitive to the care of your clothes by your cleaners, go to Washingtonian. read more

I've been coming here for years. I still drive out of my way to use them even though I moved last year. They are fairly priced, especially given their high quality service, friendly staff, and flexibility! I highly recommend them! read more

I was a bit disappointed with this cleaners. I read good things on Yelp, and needed a suit cleaned for my wedding, so I thought I'd try them out. The price was about what I expected (a little higher than some places), but I was okay with that, as long as the work was good quality. However, upon getting my suit back, I discovered later that they had broken a button on my vest, and another on the cuff of my jacket. Given the good reviews they've gotten on Yelp, I may go back and give them another chance...but not a good first impression. read more

Young is amazing. I have been going here for fifteen year. Her attention to detail is outstanding. She examines all of the clothes when dropping off and picking up. My sister, Patty, has all of her clothes altered an is completely satisfied. My sister worked at Neiman Marcia for years and relayed to me that Young's attention to detail is exactly what a professional in this area needs. I would recommend thenWashingtonian Cleaners for all occasions. Honest, trustworthy and efficient! If you care about your clothes this is the place to go. Kristin read more

This dry cleaning business is a very honest in high quality place to take your dry cleaning, when I had a suit clean buy them I had a 100 dollar bill in my pants. When I came to pick up my suit she handed me an envelope with 100 dollar bill in it, she said she found it in my pants. Now that is an honest business . read more

Washingtonian Cleaners has been my dry cleaner for almost 10 years. Young is extremely detail oriented, passionate about her job and very friendly. My clothes are always returned crisp and clean and her tailoring work is always precise. I often bring in an article of clothing, leave it without detailed tailoring instructions, and am consistently happy with the result. I was also very fortunate to entrust my wedding dress alterations and cleaning to Young. I went through several fittings the month before the wedding and my dress fit absolutely perfectly on the big day. After the wedding, I had Young clean the dress and preserve it. I was extremely happy with the result and could not have hoped for a better outcome. It is also important to note that I am always greeted by name when I walk in and Young always inquires about my family. This is a top of the line business. read more

I have two dry cleaners that I go to, a cheap one for my cheaper clothes, and this one for my expensive clothes. They are a tad bit pricier than other places, but it is for good reason. They do an excellent job on black tie dresses, anything with beads, silks, table linens/runners, alterations of expensive items, etc. I've been going here for a decade...ever since they cleaned my prom dress in high school. read more

I've been going to this dry cleaners since they opened and I'll never go anywhere else. Yes, I could find a place that's cheaper, but I value the customer service, friendly interaction, and personal attention of this family business. Yung, Anne and Michael provide a service that's highly reliable and they are committed to customer satisfaction. You can't beat the convenience of their location; I usually run into the cleaners while filling my car with gas since the cleaners is co-located with the service station/mini-mart. With so many commercial transactions today that are nameless, faceless, or on-line, I really appreciate the personal attention I receive at Washingtonian Cleaners. read more

The people who work there are really friendly and helped me out when I needed a rush alteration job, even though I had never been there. It was more than just hemming pants, which had me worried, but they really know their stuff. I went back for dry cleaning and had a great experience. I didn't think it was terribly expensive compared to other places in the area. They've definitely won another loyal customer! read more

I have been using this cleaners for over 7 years and wouldn't think about taking my clothes anywhere else. The staff and owners are friendly and go out of their way if I need something done quickly. They have been able to get spots out of my good clothes that noone else could. Also, their tailoring services are the best I have found in the DC area with tailoring prices below the average. My body type requires that any nice dress or suit I buy needs tailoring. When done, they can take a discounted dress or suit and make it look like it was made just for me. They are more than just a local business (which I always would rather spend my $$) they've become like family over the years. Try them! You won't be dissapointed!! read more

Absolutely the best same day service ever! They were able to hem a long ball gown in a little over 24 hours. I am now a lifelong customer.

Mistakes happen but when they don't care to make it right is when I get annoyed. Clothes were not cleaned properly despite pointing out areas that need attention. I would not recommend them for the money and would advise others to look elsewhere. I would maybe continue going if I got gas at this station but to go out of my way makes it not worth it. read more
