Mr. Kim is incredibly meticulous and detailed oriented. When altering skirts and dresses, he doesn't just shorten or lengthen them, he thoughtfully adjusts them with your body shape and fit in mind, which makes a huge difference. He clearly knows fabrics well and understands exactly how each material should be cleaned and handled. Although his English is not fluent, he is always friendly and professional and takes great care with everything--from everyday clothing to more delicate items. Turnaround time has always been reasonable, and my clothes consistently come back clean, pressed, and looking fabulous. :)

I also near a new pair of jeans hemmed because I'm a shortie. I met the owner, Naomi, a small Korean woman who stated she had 30+ years of experience. She asked me fine details like if I wanted original hemming or to simply cut to the length I needed and go from there. It's a $10 difference so I rather keep the original hemming but I appreciated the subtle details. Unfortunately though, she isn't able to get ink stains out, so I do need to find someone who might specialize in that.
