I've been taking my clothes to Rose Cleaners since 2021, and they consistently do a great job taking care of each garment. The best service the offer is alterations. Mr. Kim is incredibly meticulous and detailed oriented. When altering skirts and dresses, he doesn't just shorten or lengthen them, he thoughtfully adjusts them with your body shape and fit in mind, which makes a huge difference. He clearly knows fabrics well and understands exactly how each material should be cleaned and handled. Although his English is not fluent, he is always friendly and professional and takes great care with everything--from everyday clothing to more delicate items. Pretty decent and quick service. I thought the pricing for dry cleaning was good. Since this is my first dry cleaning experience in the area, I cannot compare it to other places. But, the cost for three shirts, two suit jackets, and one pair of pants was about $37. Also, extra points because my items were ready first thing the following day. I'll admit that I originally came here because I needed a pair of pants altered. Unfortunately, I could not use the alteration services because I need 2- to 3-business day turnaround. While I have not tried a lot of dry cleaning places in the area, I have a feeling this will be my go to spot. read more

Good old school cleaner who gets the job done. Parking space available in front of the store is a high plus. I got a few shirts and dresses altered and it was done even better than custom tailors in Bethesda/Chevy Chase area at a much more reasonable price. Great place. It's a convenient location considering my usual errands. While they don't have a parking lot, I had no trouble getting a meter out front. I was greeted as soon as I approached the counter. The gentleman I spoke with was kind and concise. When I mentioned I needed the suit and jacket done by midweek for a wedding, he immediately offered a time that worked for us. My husband had no problem with picking it up just two days later! This place is so over-priced. They wanted to charge me $50 for 2 coats, whereas Lindo Tailors/Cleaners on Georgia Ave., only charged me $33. She also only charges $10 for an alteration, whereas at Rose the lowest amount is double that. The man at the counter is curt, brisk; not good customer service. 2 Stars because when I 1st moved here & didn't know any better, I took my suit jacket & he did an OK job. read more

Love Rose's cleaners. The staff is super friendly and the clothes come out great! Beware of parking. It could be a challenge. Rose is located right next to IHOP. There is street parking available. Rose's offers a multitude of services. They also alter clothing which is a plus. The staff is very attentive and customer service is superb. read more

I took a sweatshirt in to sew up several cuts in the shirt. Paid $20 and when I picked it up it looked like a 5th grader haphazardly sewed some stitches to try and cover it up. Would not use them again for sewing or alterations. read more

They were wonderful to steam my dress last minute, but $10 for steaming of 2 simple items seemed a bit steep. Either way, I would go back because they did a nice job and there was parking in the back! read more

I have used several cleaners in my area, even the Zips in Rockville and DC and no one does a better job with cleaning my clothing better than Rose's Cleaners. They clean sweaters and remove all lint balls off of the garment and if you have a delicate or intricate item with stones or a design, they take special care of the garment to ensure that the garment is not destroyed. I'm giving this place a 5 star review because of their willingness to help me in my situation. I think I stopped by around 6:45 on a Monday. I know it was right before closing and I needed to find a place that could tailor my suit. I had a brand new suit as well as a decent white shirt that also possibly needed tailoring. I brought all that in and there was a husband and wife there when I walked in. I was freaking out because I was being dumb and I forgot to get it tailored before but luckily after explaining my situation and informing them of how urgent my situation is, he said that he can have it done by Friday. He took his time taking my measurements and said he will give me a call. I was a little nervous that it was cutting it so close to the wedding but I actually got a call Thursday and was able to pick up my suit. Both suit and shirt were tailored perfectly and I was thoroughly impressed with his professionalism and willingness to adapt to my situation. I could tell that English was not his primary language (Korean owned) but I was still very easily able to communicate with him. Something I was a bit concerned about was that the parking would suck. However, both times I went, it wasn't hard at all to find parking. Inside the shop, the back area with all the clothes was huge. The dressing room was a little small, but I didn't have any issues with that. Rose cleaners is a bit out of the way from my house and workplace, but if I ever need to have anything cleaned or tailored, I don't think I'd go to another place. read more

This is by far my favorite dry cleaners! I always pick up my clothes in perfect condition and I couldn't be happier with both the quality and service. I tried a number of dry cleaners in the area and this is by far the best bang for your buck. The owner is nice and very pleasant to customers. The prices are comparable, if not a little less than other area cleaners. Also, they sew on missing buttons, which another well rated cleaners (Look Smart cleaners) didn't do even though they were a bit more expensive. I'm definitely a fan. read more

Nice, friendly place. I took 9 pairs of pants in for alterations. They did a great job.

We used them for a few months and then one shirt came back with some blue stains. I thought that wasn't a big deal, and took it back for re-wash. The gentleman there refused to take responsibility. More than that, he was rude and started blaming me for creating the stain. Incredibly rude - he insisted that he checks every shirt before packing and therefore the stain wasn't his responsibility. And then he walks away shrugging his shoulder. read more

I would not recommend this establishment if you care about customer service and the ability to communicate. My most recent disappointment was about a pair of white nursing pants and am angry about the inability to resolve the matter with the company. They returned them pressed, but with grey spots over the knee area and at the lower portion pants. This was splatter related to walking during the recent snow storm. I paid for the cleaning and picked them up a couple days ago and don't see well so did not catch this at first. I did not realize they had not cleaned them properly until I got inspected by my nursing instructor. I returned to the store this afternoon and showed him the pants. I said that I expected that either he would have refused the job because he does not know how to clean clothes, or that he should have inspected the garment and pointed out to me that they messed up and would like a chance to redo the work with some bleach. After I explained the problem, he asked me if I was there to pick up anything. He asked me twice. It was totally non-responsive. I said, no I am here to complain. He said well what do you want? I said well you might start with saying that you are sorry, that you recognize me as a past customer, that you do not want to lose me as a customer, and that you want to do something to try to make it better. Then you could offer to refund my money or to redo the job. He was silent and looked dumbfounded. I think the problem is that he does not speak English. Well then he should get an interpreter if he is not going to learn the language. I am willing to take a chance on patronizing local businesses, but they should learn the minimum of good customer service skills and basic sentences, including how to apologize and some basic problem solving. By the way, he never smiles. That is not a warm fuzzy environment. Not a good choice for anyone who is sensitive. Unfortunately, I will have to go to the more expensive cleaners for now on and there are plenty of other choices in this city. read more

I had to get my suit and pants tailored for a wedding and they did a great job with tailoring everything and did it quite quickly. I also had a shirt that needed cleaning and there were no complaints there. They had me in an out very quickly when taking my measurements but I didn't feel rushed at all. The gentleman was patient with me and was also very efficient. It was a bit out of the way for me but definitely worth the drive for the level of professionalism and quickness and efficiency of their work. read more

The sign in the window reads, "20% off with 6 or more items" however, to clarify, you must have over $50 worth of items to clean. Where is that anywhere? That's right, the owner just informs me after I bring in 7 items. Overall, my items came back clean and pressed. They also did a nice job on my white jacket with black trim as there was a stain on the arm and I informed the cleaners not to bleed the black color on the white fabric and also try to avoid shrinking any of my clothing.
