This was my second time working with her and the first time she did a great job adding a corset to the back of my dress to fit my pregnant belly, though it did run me about $250, which hurt. This time going to Olga though, it cost the same amount, $250, and she hemmed the dress and added cups. She did not take the dress in on the sides like we discussed so the dress does not fit at all. When I tried it on at the store, I asked what could be done about the fit of the dress and she said "nothing, it's just the dress." I'm not the expert, she is. So I didn't say anything. However, the bridesmaids dress I have is nothing special and there is zero reason it couldn't be taken in to actually fit me. Especially for $250. Not only that, but the cups were sewn in so wonky that the fabric is all bunched and pulled across the chest. I had to cut them out. And to top it off, she did not hem it short enough. Now I'm left scrambling days before this wedding trying to jury-rig this dress to make it fit and look presentable. I don't know what to do. I'm no seamstress, so it looks pretty awful. So overall, I spent $250 for a hem and cups that I had to cut out.

I spoke with Andy and he said he would be able to help me. The customer service was great! Andy was extremely helpful and patient with an agitated ten year old, who did not want to wear dress clothes. He picked out the perfect suit for my son. My intention was just to initially rent a vest and my son wear his own black suit, however once Andy had him try everything together, it was more economical to rent the entire tuxedo. The tuxedos were the nicest (looking and fitting) that we've ever rented. All my kids are married and tuxedos were rented for each of their weddings. I wish I had known about the Black Tux for their weddings. And they all said they were the most comfortable suits they've ever rented. I would try to find my own vest for the blue suit, immediately return one option and return the other option after the wedding. They then told me that they were out of stock of the jacket for the blue suit as well! This is incredibly frustrating because I now have to find a suit for the groom within the next two weeks, even though I placed an order with them MONTHS ago. Not to add that there is currently a pandemic and many stores in my area are closed. I'm not sure how its possible to run out of a rental I placed so long ago, but this is incredibly unprofessional and leaves me with a large hassle on my hands.

I found this place on Google after an unfruitful David's Bridal appointment. After that appointment, I knew exactly what I wanted, but David's Bridal told me they had no dresses that combined all of the features I wanted. So I knew I had to go somewhere else. That same day, I decided to walk into ICON and check out what they had. To my surprise they had several dresses that fit my requirements. Since I did not call ahead to set up an appointment, I thought I would only be there to browse. But, since there was a break between appointments, Connie had me immediately trying on dress after dress. I must've tried on at least 10. She was so friendly and enthusiastic, and she genuinely cares about her customers finding the wedding dress of their dreams. My biggest fear going in was that, as a size 18 (24 in wedding dresses), I wasn't going to be able to try on the sample dresses. Surprisingly, most of the samples I tried could fit me (or at least be clipped on). Sure, there were one or two I absolutely could not fit into, but it was really nice that a small store like this one could still cater to plus sized women. Their prices are pretty much at par with what I expected to be paying for a wedding dress. My dress was particularly extravagant (in my opinion) and cost a little under $1500. But they had some that were cheaper (under $1000), yet equally as beautiful (just not my style). Ultimately, my shopping experience was amazing. I felt beautiful. I felt I was being heard. And I found the dress I was envisioning. Thanks, Connie, for making me feel at home! I can't wait for it to arrive and to see how it looks on me after the alterations!
