I would love to give this place a positive review. A friend of mine has come here and had a good experience. Unfortunately, I brought my wedding dress here to be tailored, and based on my experience cannot in good conscience write a positive review. I paid almost $300 for alterations. The alterations I paid for: hem so the length fits me and add a bustle. The alterations I received: ___. To be fair, she did add a bustle, it just didn't actually hook and/or work. I had people constantly attempting to re-bustle me until we finally gave up and safety pinned the dress. As for the hemming...maybe she forgot? Regardless, the dress was so long I couldn't walk without stepping on the front (a terrible situation for a strapless dress - please use your imagination and pray the photographer deleted the evidence). For what it's worth, I love dogs. However, if I knew she had a dog in the shop with her frolicking around while she's (allegedly) altering clothes, I never would have come here. I have a child with severe allergies (lots of allergies - not just dogs, but also hypoallergenic dogs due to dander and other sensitivities), and wholeheartedly regret exposing him by using this tailor. My wedding was 99% perfect. The only thing I would change would be the tailor so my dress would actually have a chance at fitting. I would give it one star, but I don't want to destroy a local business. That said, I would only recommend this establishment to my arch nemesis. Unfortunately, they've gone downhill. :-( We've been going there for 10 years and never had a problem. This time I brought in a jacket for alterations and she said $185! I said fine since I had faith it would be done right. She only fixed half the problems and when I asked her if she said could fix it she said no and wouldn't give me a partial refund. If she had said at the beginning she couldn't do it I would have just bought a new jacket! read more

Sue was the tailor that altered my wedding dress and she was super friendly and so helpful! I told her what I needed to be hemmed and she did just that! Since I lost weight she had to cut my Dress down two sizes. ( good problem to have I guess haha) And I also bought a diamond sash for my dress and I asked her stitch the piece to the dress and she DID!! The dress took about two weeks to be ready for pick up and when I received my dress it looked amazing. I did not try my dress in the store but when I got home and tried it? It was perfect! The pricing was reasonable as well. She charged $20 to stitch my sash and $55 to cut my dress down two sizes. I will definitely come here for other requests for sure. Brought in a bridesmaid dress to be hemmed and picked up today. Used to get all my alterations done at Nordstrom Rack on Shady Grove Rd but they've since changed their policy that they only do alterations on clothing bought from there, so it's been a very long time since I've had to look for a place to get alterations done and wasn't sure where to go. My dress is a stretch satin material, single layer. Didn't need any other adjustments except to be hemmed up a few inches. I looked up several places on Yelp and decided to try Kim's first, thinking that if the pricing was unreasonable I'd go somewhere else. Kim got it done for $60 with a turnaround in one week which I thought was fairly reasonable. The hem looks great and Kim did exactly what I had asked, so no complaints here! read more

Not great. For my bridesmaid dress I was charged 180 for hemming the dress and then another 50 to have the pads and top sewn shut ( it was too low) the hem is too long even though I wore my heels and I asked for it to be hemmed not at floor length but a little bit above the floor with my heels on. I got my dress back and the hem is skimming the floor and I still trip over the excess material. She also forgot to remove the pads and I had to wait another five days. It was shoddily sewn shut which made a weird crease in the fabric so I ripped the seam and am going to try to fix it myself. I really cannot keep going back to try to get things fixed especially when I paid over 200 dollars for the alterations. Really unhappy that I have to fix my alterations myself when I paid 230. read more

I cannot explain enough what a terrible experience I had here. I dropped my dress to be hemmed for a wedding two weeks prior, and was fitted and pinned in the shoes I would be wearing for the event. I was told it would be ready that Monday before, which was also the date written on my receipt. When I showed up that day, I was told it would actually be ready on Friday. I explained that Thursday was the latest I could pick it up, as I was traveling out of state for the wedding, and was told it wouldn't be an issue, but was given no new receipt or documentation of anything. When I arrived on Thursday, my dress was hanging in the same location and was given to me. However, when I tried it on, it was just as long as it was before, and I am truly not convinced that any work was done to it. Because it was given to me right before my flight, I had no choice but to be a maid of honor tripping over a long hem after paying $150 for alterations that either didn't occur, or were done incorrectly, with no time to fix them. A shame because this place is local, but I will not be back. read more

She has altered several dresses for me and always knows what to do, even when dealing with complicated/intricate designs. Kim recently helped me restore a designer dress that had some wear and tear - which included finding a very specific tulle color needed to match the original design. She's the best! read more

Best tailor in the area! I have been coming here for over 15 years. Every item I bring in fits exceptionally well. Tailored items fit like they were made for you. I have brought in dresses, jeans, pants, tops you name it. Items are finished in a timely manner. It's a small shop with two dressing rooms. It's also in the back corner of the shopping center.
