My group hung out here for the first Friday afternoon of March Madness and had a great time. They had all the games on when we got there. The staff was very friendly and didn't mind us yapping about our brackets. The happy hour had some great deals and our bartender took the time to help me find the right beer. I saw some negative reviews so I was a little hesitant to go but as we were going to Stephen Talkhouse a few doors down to see GE Smith perform I figured we would give it a try. We had the special shrimp scampi it was a 10/10 . Generous portion of shrimp, jasmine rice and spinach .. I had a $6 Corona light my wife had wine also very fairly priced for the Hamptons. Well... old location was one of our faves for past million years. This Rowdy Hall leaves much to be desired! Jeffrey our waiter deserves a 5! But... they're adding tax onto your bill when you tip so a 20% tip of our $85.00 dinner was $18.47 not $17.00. As someone who has worked in the service industry for 8+ years, I always try to be patient and understanding when dining out. But this experience was disappointing across the board. From the start, our server was dismissive and had an attitude that set the tone for the rest of the meal. The sequence of service was completely off--we ordered fries early on, and nearly 10 minutes later, while placing our entrées, she asked if we still wanted them. At that point, we honestly weren't even sure she fired them in the first place. We then waited over an hour for our entrées (salmon and steak), watching the same dishes go out to tables seated long after us. If it had been a timing-sensitive course, I might have been more understanding--but this was clearly a service issue. I wasn't sure she even the second course after the entrees were fired. And during that entire time, she rarely checked in, refilled drinks, or gave any sort of update. No communication, no accountability. My entrée finally arrived cold, which only made the situation worse. A blonde woman who I assumed was the manager came by to drop the entrees comped our appetizers and my meal, which we appreciated, but by that point the experience had already soured. We left feeling incredibly underwhelmed-- we were completely overlooked. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. When basic service standards and hospitality are missing, no amount of comped food makes up for the experience. read more

Wow, huge disappointment! I have been a loyal fan for many years and finally made it to the new location in Amagansett. I ordered a burger medium but it was served rare with lukewarm fries. Terrible, the old Rowdy was super reliable. Our bartender was ... let's just say not welcoming. Anyone who knows the vibe at the bar previously can understand what a huge disappointment this experience was. I sent the burger back with an apology because I hate to be one of those.... Anyway, my burger came back medium but the fries were obviously thrown back in and refried then over dosed with salt. They were literally inedible. Our bartender returned and ask how the food was with an I don't give a sh..attitude. I again apologized and said I'm sorry but the fries are inedible. She made a face and I said I'll keep em. Thanks. Bill comes ... with zero reduction for anything... not even to $5 club soda. Really? Wtf. All good. I will never come back. Big loss. The restaurant seems busy enough that they won't miss my business I'm sure but there are much better choices out East. read more

We were on our way back from Montauk and someone in town said stop at Rowdy Hall in Amagansett. we did and what a Great late lunch. for when you walked in the hostess is great - when she sat the 4 of us she explained the menu - from the beer selection to cocktails . our server Jeffery is great - burgers were cooked to perfection . Cons : The food is nothing special - for starters they changed their burger style, before they relocated from EH they had a legit sesame seed bun, now the bun is a basic generic one you find at a cheap rushed backyard BBQ. I ordered my burger medium, it was totally well done, I couldn't even finish it. Burnt vibes. The fries were overly salty and borderline not edible. I got a chili & cornbread special,l - the chili was fine, but it there was 3x more cornbread than chili, so it was a bad proportion. End of the day forty-five bucks before tip for a burger with fries and a chili with cornbread appetizer is pretty excessive for how unimpressive it all was. One and done for me personally. read more

Great place in East Hampton tucked away from the Main Street for casual pub fare. The portions are generous without being too much food. French onion soup was deliciously cheesy and the s'mores sundae is not to be missed. It might be one of the best things I've eaten anywhere in town! The homemade seasonal ice cream (peanut butter) was also delicious. On a weekday night after Labor Day it wasn't too crowded and we easily got a table for four. Only downside is that the chairs stick to the floor and it's difficult to move your chair in and out. But that wouldn't stop me at all from going back to or recommending this great place! read more

Five of us stopped for lunch on 12/22. It was very quiet, yet we were seated at a table meant for 4 that was very uncomfortable and too small for our party. The waitress seemed annoyed that we weren't ordering drinks. The food was very average. My son had the mussels that were very gritty. My omelette came 10 minutes after everyone else's entree was served .Poor coordination in the kitchen for sure. Overall a lackluster yet extremely overpriced lunch. I've been coming to Rowdy Hall since I was at least 13 years old and am now about to turn 19 and overtime i've seen the place I once loved and would frequent turn into a place i'm not dying to go to anymore. After covid many of my favorite items were removed from the menu like the disco fries and buffalo chicken dip. I understand that menu changes had to be made but I feel as though there isn't much variety anymore. Tonight I went out with my dad and didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes, which was quite pleasant. After we were sat the waiter came over and we ordered our drinks, appetizers, and entres since we already knew what we wanted. We started off with the clams casino, which to me are always a hit. They were flavorful and delicious and overall incredibly enjoyable. I then had the meatloaf which was absolutely devine, it is possibly my favorite dish on the whole menu. The sauce and vegetables were great, and the meatloaf was cooked to perfection. My dad however had ordered the steak frites medium, but when it came out it looked a bit burnt and my dad said it was quite over cooked. The fries were tasty, but other then that the steak was just alright, and for $38 I would expect a bit more than just alright. Moving onto desert, we were really excited to try the bread pudding since it used to be our favorite desert pre-covid. However we were incredibly disappointed with tonight's desert. The bread pudding was drowned out by the sauce which was quite unpleasant. This resulted in us leaving the bread pudding more than half intact. I had also ordered a hot chocolate to warm up on this cold night, but felt as though I was drinking warm water with chocolate. Super disappointed by the desert portion of the meal. I wish I could have left with a better experience, but in all honesty I was a bit let down. I hope they are able to improve their menu and bring back some old classics. Since that was the Rowdy Hall that I loved and spent multiple birthdays at, this new one however is one that I would not want to celebrate at. read more

We went to the new Rowdy Hall recently relocated from E Hampton to Amagansett tonight for an early Sunday dinner. The place was pleasantly packed and vibrant. Seventies Classics and Eighties New Wave music played in the background. We were told by the friendly hostesses that we'd perhaps have a 45 minute wait and grabbed drinks at the bar. To our happy surprise just 15 minutes later we were seated. Service was spot on (thanks to our friendly and efficient server, Suri). The elevated pub fare was perfectly cooked, brought swiftly to the table. After a shared shrimp cocktail that would rival that of any seafood restaurant or high end steakhouse, we enjoyed a cheese burger and fish and chips both cooked perfectly and brought to the table piping hot. In essence, it was a perfect, casual Sunday night dinner. We will be back regularly for sure. read more

I came to amagansett to try the new rowdy hall location. it was always a casual favorite. I think we should all give them time to settle in to their new space. this evening, Rowdy Hall has the distinction of providing the worst service I have ever experienced in all my years of eating out. I sat there for a half hour waiting for my dinner while my companion was served. the waitress disappeared and was unable to produce my meal from the kitchen. it was only after we asked for the manager to come to our table that I eventually got my dinner. This is for the new Rowdy Hall in Amagansett. We went there Sunday night around 4:30 or so and it was packed just like the night before, but we did find a seat at the bar. Wasn't a good experience at the bar, felt ignored and waited 20 minutes for the guy to take our order, but again it was very busy. Went to a table for dinner, nice seating. We had the special prime rib and it was excellent! The staff are friendly and hard working. The room is a good size but very noisy due to the amount of people there I guess, it was fun! The fish and chips were way overcooked. You can tell just by looking how dark the batter became. Fish was dry. Didn't eat it all, left it. The burger is the way to go here, what Rowdy Hall does best. I sent the artichoke back because it was tough as leather, and they were nice about it. Let me substitute chicken wings, but before I ordered, I asked if it was a mixture of the drumsticks and the flat part because I didn't want it if it was all drumsticks.
