Lost respect for this place after they screwed up my birthday dinner. We called up and they confirmed we had a table in the main dining room. When we arrived they told us they never said that they had a table for us in the main dining room. They offered us a table in the tavern or outside for the same prefix menu. We had 4 people in our party all attest to hearing them say "no problem" and the manager didn't care. He claimed he trained his staff to never say "no problem" well I guess they just called my family a liar to my face. I will not be back again this summer. Thanks for ruining my night.

An East Hampton Classic! This gorgeous restaurant has been an East Hampton staple for decades. You can feel the history as soon as you walk in or as you stroll in their garden. The tasting menu was amazing and the service is impressive. We had lovely red wine with our meal and everything was amazing! Insta: @thehungrysw

I brought my mother here for two nights to celebrate her upcoming 90th birthday. Every single part of our stay there was absolutely stellar. Both Stephanie and Carol at the front desk went above and beyond in a very friendly, professional way to make us feel welcome in so many different ways. I actually dropped some cash out of my pocket while having a wonderful dinner in their main dining room and our waiter Brad picked it up and gave it to Carol... who in turn gave it to me. Holy Moley! This place is an absolute gem. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and beautifully detailed. My Mom's room, #6, was on the ground floor and had a lovely view of the back garden. We will most certainly be back for her next birthday!

Very upscale restaurant with a small yet diverse menu. It is very darkly lit and was very warm tonight, but overall a great spot for a quiet date night or friend's night out. We had a great waiter who was very attentive. The food was good. Not great in my opinion, but good. It definitely lacked seasoning/flavor/depth. I will say that my husband had the rabbit and loved it. Everything else was enjoyable. We were a party of 3 and our check was about $450. So, decently priced for the style of restaurant.

I've been coming to 1770 House for many years and have always been happy with the quality of the food and the service. By Hamptons standards, their $80 prix fixe dinner is reasonably priced because the entrees are large: an appetizer and entree will be enough unless you are super hungry. Among entrees, the meatloaf, sea scallops and strip steak received highest reviews from the group I was with.

This is our second time coming here. We came early to beat the crowd and it was worth it. Service was top notch in every respect. Applause applause. The food was very excellent with a menu that perfectly described the dishes and the taste. The chicken dish was moist and the sirloin cooked to order. We tried a banana type for desert and sorry we didn't have two. The decor is wonderful. Fun fact. The 1770 name was the year the house was turned into a restaurant. The house was built in the 1600.

As my first indoor dining experience since COVID-19, the 1770 House was an incredible experience that will be hard to top. It was a wonderful welcome back to the high-end dining world while also a cute part of history in East Hampton. My partner and I ate in the tavern. Every other table was empty. Most of the patrons were not wearing masks, even when not eating, but all of the servers were. They also wore gloves. In the tavern, you also have the upstairs menu available as well as the tavern menu. We went for the prix fixe since there were so many good-sounding things to taste. And indeed, everything was good - even the side of bread with olive oil. The tuna starter, while small, was very fresh; and I loved the mushroom, spinach, and cherry salad. It could have been a teeny bit less dressed, but I loved the large chunks of mushrooms. The mains were both really stellar. The lamb was cooked to perfection, and the risotto was a great compliment. I've never had such tender, fall-off-the-bone rabbit; and I loved the fresh pesto pasta. Top it off with the ricotta cheesecake, which had blackberry drizzle and hazelnut crust. Truly divine. Sebastian, our server, was attentive and helpful. A truly epic and memorable meal!

I had the delight of enjoying the outdoor seating with heating lamps to keep us warm & toasty while enjoying Rose wine and good company. 1770 House is a quaint boutique hotel with fireplaces throughout. Shopping and dining is walking distance. A wonderful place to visit on Long Island.

Nothing can really compare to The 1770 House. The service is top quality. Nothing makes you feel more like your in a private club for VIP only then then at 1770. They treat us all like family. The food is exquisite as always. The perfect place to be with a love one. They always make the themes perfect for every holiday occasion!

This review is for the restaurant exclusively. Truly enjoyed the atmosphere on a rainy evening, the fire was going and it felt so cozy. Very New England homey type vibes. The menu is a pre fixe here but you do have choices so you can choose your appetizer, entrée and dessert. Waitstaff was professional and friendly. The food was wonderfully delicious! Prepared perfectly and plated beautifully. I will absolutely be returning to this gem!

It's not easy being a woman and being by yourself but Erin the bartender made me feel welcome right away. My battery almost died and she went above and beyond by lending me her personal charger. I was grateful due to the fact that my phone was dying. She handled the bar with ease. Most people seemed to know each other and were very pleasant. I saw a couple pool tables to the side. Keno was playing but I'm not sure what else they offered. TV's were on playing sports and the enthusiast were really enjoying the game. I had already eaten so I can't tell you about the food but from what I saw it looked delicious If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely stop in and hopefully it's Erin's shift.

Found a spot a block over. The place is nice and spacious, dining area had a fireplace, bar area had some high tops. Service was pretty quick, our waitress was very nice and attentive, our cocktails came out shortly after ordering. We ordered the Chicken and Lemongrass dumplings, they were very good. Perfectly steamed, they were plump and not oily with a nice dipping sauce. I had the Asian Tuna Wrap, on which I drizzled the dipping sauce I saved from the dumplings earlier. It was magnificent. My better half had the Fried Chicken Boom Boom sammich and it was beautifully fried. I had a bit of it, and it too was fantastic.
