This has nothing to do with the pizza and everything to do with management. I've been here a few times now and it has been the same story. The employees here work very hard and don't deserve this. On Friday night, you need more than three people to run a pizza place. Every time the phone rang I watched a person leave the line to answer the phone. It was incredibly inefficient. Tickets are printing every minute and the line is getting further and further behind because your production cuts in half when the phone rings. Nobody is bussing tables, the cashier can't even fill drink orders because she can't leave the register. It's a nightmare and it is completely avoidable with more staff. I used the app and ordered carry out ahead. I arrived 20 minutes after the app told me based on my previous experience. The line was out the door. I waited patiently in line which took at least another 20 minutes. By the time I got to the front, my order still wasn't ready. This afforded me plenty of time to watch. The cashier explained that they weren't short staffed, this is just how Fridays are. She deserves a medal for what she went through tonight. I saw 2 different customers take out their frustration on her in just the 40 minutes I was there. Things weren't getting better when I left either. If you can't staff your business appropriately, maybe you as the franchisee should come in and run a register. After all, this is your business. Nobody should care more about this catastrophe than you. I watched a lady get told that there was no ranch dressing available at the salad bar. She could have Italian dressing or Bleu cheese but not ranch. The woman explained that she paid for a salad and just wanted ranch dressing for the salad. The employee relayed that she would have to buy ranch on the side for her salad. That has got to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life. I'm going to avoid this place in the future and you should too. We have plenty of local eateries in Oakdale where the owners are present and care about the dining experience of their customers. Walked in around 4:30 on a weekday. No one in the place. Several employees doing nothing. Had to wait for them to come out ask for our order. They finally did. Like we were bothering them. Lots of empty tables. Actually all were empty cuz no one else was in the place. Only 2 tables didn't have food and dirty plates on them. So gross. We found one clean table in the whole place. I'm sure they have all been a mess since lunch and no one bothers to clean them. Even once we got our food, still no one there the whole time we ate. And no one cleaned any tables. This restaurant used to be the best pizza restaurant in town. It is now terrible. Today I ordered 3 pizzas through the app, but I received two pizzas and somebody else's bread sticks. My daughter or I order pizza once a week. Each time they only make 2 pizzas or they don't give me the correct amount of ranch dressings I ordered, or both. It means my other pizzas get cold while I'm waiting for them to fix their mistake or I get home and have to turn around and go back so they can fix their mistake. Also a few times the pizza was burnt or looked like it had been dropped. This has happened at least 5 times. Probably more. It has happened to both of us and it is a consistent problem. Its the same order every week and they get it wrong every week. Each time I go in, the manager is doing something other than working, and is always talking. She is very quick to blame her employees every time it happens even though she is the one in the kitchen cooking the pizza. She is running this restaurant into the ground. This location has gone seriously downhill in the last few months and I'm so disappointed! Ordered my pizzas through their website for pick up. I purposely waited 20 minutes after the estimated arrival time as there have been plenty of times when my order was not yet ready. When I arrived, they had forgotten to make one of my 3 pizzas (this is the third time this exact problem has happened at this location) and by the time they made it and fixed the error, my other two pizzas were ice cold. I chose to take them home instead of make a fuss and wait even longer for them to be remade as my kids were hungry and waiting in the car. To top it all off, when I opened the box to one of my pizzas at home, it looked as if it had been thrown on the floor before being boxed. Half the pizza's cheese had slid complete off, some of the slices were HUGE and some were barely even worth eating they were so tiny. The owner of this franchise are ripping off customers. I got 2 pizzas delivered and had to call them to make sure I didn't order the thin crust, because the crust was comically thin. The veggie pizza could barely hold the toppings. And the pepperoni looked like something you would get from the freezer section of the grocery store. I was informed by the manager (who was very kind and understanding), that the owners told them to roll the dough thinner... that they have been rolling it too thick. I have been eating at this location for a long time, it was never "too thick" and what they are serving now is certainly not what they are advertising. This thinner crust would be fine if they adjusted their prices accordingly and advertised it as thin crust. But paying $70 for two pizzas that could barely feed 3 adults is absurd. The remodel looks amazing! I do have to say the pizza buffet is good but the flavor was a little off. The salad bar is great but they have no shredded cheese & two things of bacon, when you ask for cheese they look at you all crazy. I was happy to see a gluten free option. Very disappointing experience. We arrived abound 7:45 on a Tuesday evening. There was a sign in the window saying that Family Buffett night was back from 5-8, and a handwritten sign in the store. We saw there were several pizzas in the warming area and asked about the Buffett. The girl was vague and gestured towards the pizzas and said they are over there. When we told her that's what we would like she started ringing us up but a guy came from the back, said her name, and shook his head no. She looked at us and said it was no longer available. Well my friend and I went into Round Table today for their lunch special. We got there about 145pm and was rudely told that the lunch special is over at 2pm. Well we were there at 145pm and the salad bar and all the pizza were still out and look good. The guy tried to tell us they are pulling it off but we can still get the salad and buy a personalized pizza with 1 topping. I told it's not 2pm let and you still gave all the food out. Where should I start? Called in order for delivery with coupon but delivered a different deal. Now granted, we didn't catch when they read the order back wrong but who knew that there was a second deal for the same price but for less pizza? When delivered, we noticed and called restaurant. Andy told us a second medium pizza would be delivered since we received two mediums not a large and a medium. Great, we will have to wait but at least we will have enough. Then we open boxes and notice the lids were closed on the pizza, causing some slices to be damaged. Ugh. The one topping also had the wrong topping. Over an hour later, we called Andy back because nothing has been delivered. Andy then informs us that per the acting manager, Katy, no "free" pizza would be delivered and since we didn't correct them when we confirmed the order, it would be "free." We understand mistakes in orders happen and could've been handled much differently even when he acknowledged he made the wrong pizza. Instead of simply placing an order for the correct pie he proceeded to argue and tell me that the order that was placed on their website five minutes before their store opened needed to be addressed through GrubHub. Even though I canceled the GrubHub order and requested the pizza be immediately made for me to pick up instead of delivery nurse manager proceeded to argue and say he wasn't gonna make something for free. First time I've visited since the remodel. Pizza as always was excellent. It's California style and I try to keep it basic, pepperoni and on occasion green bell peppers only. To some, they may get a little heavy handed with the spicy tomato sauce, but that's how I like it. If I had any complaints it'd be with the difficulty ordering via the phone at times and paying with a $100 bill, minor inconveniences for me. Ordered some pizza today from Round Table. Had it delivered. Delivery was pretty fast but not happy with what was delivered. They need to watch the pizzas so they don't get bubbles in the dough. When that happens you get big spots with no sauce or cheese or anything. And if it does happen don't just put it in a box and send it out. Plus we ordered the triple pepperoni. In this case the delivery person left the pizza on my doorstep and sent a text, I honestly was not expecting a text notification, so I didn't see it. The pizzas were on my doorstep for 30 minutes before we went outside and tripped over them. I'm not a confrontational person and I am shaking after my interaction with John the manager.
