This place was a joke! Salad bar closed but employee could "make the salad in the back". It was a small plate with lettuce, cucumber slice and cherry tomato. Came w about a tablespoon of dressing. This plate of lettuce cost $7.50. Asked for more dressing and was told that would be $1.60! Wtf? When is the dressing for a salad extra? It was $60.00 for 1 pizza, 2 salads and 2 drinks. Come on. We were the only customers in there and now I see why. Went to refill soda and and an employee was WASHING HIS HANDS with the water dispenser. Took over 40 minutes for pizza. When I asked what was taking so long the guy said "what? Do you have a number?" I said "yeah, the only f-ing people in here". I was so frustrated. I said just put it in a box to go. On the way out, 2 employees were eating pizza and smoking cigarettes in the back. read more

Pizza is always great, we love it. If we switch to Dominos a couple times and then come back to Round Table, we are reminded why we love it. I can't speak to the dine-in experience, but I think people need to lower their bar of expectation. Best ranch dressing. read more

Ordered 60+ dollars in pizza and quoted 45 minutes. The driver couldn't find my house.. even though it's right across the street from the lake park (which is easy). I spent 20 minutes helping him find the house, sent my location, etc. Tried to call and waited over 20 minutes to talk and all they did was say they were sorry. But the pizza isn't hot and it's annoying that they couldn't deliver properly when I'm paying for the delivery. I was outside waiting in the cold for the driver. read more

To make this long story short. A medium pizza that was undercooked and terrible took over an hour to get. Here is the long story. I love round table pizza so while I was traveling up the coast from LA I stopped here with my dad. I have to say this is the worst round table pizza I have ever had. The crust wasn't cooked enough. There wasn't enough sauce and the cheese was undercooked. On the bright side there were plenty of toppings. The service was terrible. We walked in, they were far from busy, and ordered one medium pizza but they put in 6 large delivery pizzas ahead of us. So, after waiting over 45 min in the restaurant we complained. The only positive thing about this place was the mini arcade and one very kind server who apologized after she realized what had happened. read more

Update, my daughter (25) & I had the lunch buffet today. It was great. The salad bar had really fresh ingredients and they had 3 just made pizzas out including one vegetarian, one pepperoni, one meat with sausage, etc. Then they brought out just made warm cheesy bread. Everything was good. I like their sausage & I liked that meat pizza best. The vege. pizza had green peppers, tomatoes, black olives, & lots, of cheese. They don't skimp on cheese & the regular crust is kinda crunchy, but not too thin & not hard. It was very good. The restaurant is very nice and they have booths & tables. It is only about 2 years old and the entire building was renovated for it to become the authentic Round Table when it opened. It is located next to the Galaxy Theater which is very convenient. Highly recommended. I think lunch buffet is under $10.00 adult & about 5.99 for kids, all you can eat. Staff were very friendly and the restaurant is SPOTLESS! I wonder if some of the bad reviews in 2011 are for real. This is a very clean & efficiently ran restaurant with friendly staff. There is room in Atascadero for the old Round Table (now independent & called Central Coast Pizza) & for the new authentic Round Table. I would look at the 2012 reviews & ignore the ones in 2011 that are bringing down their star average. It is possible that when they first opened they were working out the bugs & had staff issues. They seemed to be resolved since I have visited twice in the last two months. Give Round Table a try, I think you will like it. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. For three sandwiches if took 45 minutes because the cook left and the staff didn't have any idea that we were waiting for our food. The beer tasted like the lines hadn't been cleaned in awhile, but the salad bar was average. Might be a good place to turn kids loose, but not a good place to eat. I love RTP, I always have. I think the ingredients are top notch and the sauce is really good. The crust is fluffy yet supportive, and delicious. I ordered pick-up form here on the 1st of 2014 and it was ready in 20 minutes nice and hot. If you like a lot of sauce you may want to consider asking for heavy sauce as it tends to e a bit light. Still, it was clean inside and the staff were very helpful. They also have a halfway decent selection of beers on tap, not amazing, but more than the big three. read more

Waited about 30 minutes for a medium pepperoni pizza, after waiting about 5 minutes for someone to take my order, and there was no one ahead of me. If I knew it was going to be as long as a wait for just a simple pepperoni pizza, I would have brought my camping gear to pitch my tent. It would be understandable if the place was crowded, but it was a ghost town in there. I took my family out to dinner and spent over $100 on pizza, drinks, and salads. I ordered a cheese pizza for the 4 younger kids to share, forgetting my special needs brother was with us and would only eat pepperoni. When we got all of our pizza he had a melt down realizing there was no pepperoni on any of the pizzas. He sat under the tables crying for 10 minutes crying and not eating. My mom proceeded to go to the counter and ask if she could have a piece of pepperoni, and explained the situation. The girl at the register said we could get a personal pizza for $6, then a man (who looked like he was the manager) interrupted and said he would get it. My mom waited at the counter and told my brother the man was bringing him a slice of pepperoni for his pizza. 25 minutes passed by and the man was now counting the change drawer for the night. My mom asked if he was ever going to bring a piece of pepperoni out and he replied "when I get to it". 40 minutes had passed and my brother was still under the table crying, while all his brothers had finished eating and been playing games in the arcade. My mom went up again and asked if he was ever going to give her a piece of pepperoni and she was ignored. Since I had spent over $100 I didn't think a single slice of pepperoni was too much to ask for. We would've even paid for a slice of pepperoni. If you never had the intention of giving us a single slice of pepperoni, then don't tell us you will go get some pepperoni. For those of you who know my younger brother with autism, you know he isn't some bratty kid. He has a routine and he has things that he will and will not eat. He cried telling me he couldn't eat just the cheese because it felt weird to him. Yet another restaurant that won't accommodate to people with special needs. read more

I must say I prefer Round Table's red sauce and their crust to the rest of the pizza shops in town, hands down but we can't always afford Round Table's prices even with coupons. We had company from out of town so we splurged on an extra large Wombo Combo with pan crust and some BBQ chicken wings. The pizza and wings were delivered HOT, with the ranch kept cold, with paper plates, napkins, cheese and pepper packets.... total service. The driver was courteous. I used the online ordering which went perfectly. Delicious pizza with just enough zesty in the sauce, pizza we love. The crust was perfect, plenty of sauce without being a lake and done well so it held up to picking up the slice to eat. I've been to many Round Tables, this one is o.k. I liked the pizza better when it was over by Von's years ago. But it seems like they've changed the crust at all their locations. This location provides good service. I like the Maui Zowie pizza the best. They get an extra star for being (as far as I know) the ONLY salad bar in the city of Atascadero, even though it does leave something to be desired. It is worth one trip during the lunch hours. The buffet is just large quantities of mediocre food. I prefer one of the other lunch specials where you can pick a mini pizza. All in all, it's a o.k place for lunch and for a take out pizza at dinner. They have a frequent flyer club you can join to earn points and get coupons on pizzas. read more

Even though things are a little different right now, Round Table Pizza never changes. The Pizza is always spot on!. The King Aurther is one the best Pizza's on the menu. Got our Pizza Hot and fresh and got it via curb side pick up. The staff are always friendly and nice. We do miss the salad bar and the Tuesday night all you can eat, but if we all do our part, we'll be holding those ice cold plates and building our own salads again in no time! Round table just came back to Atascadero and brought with it their amazing pizza. Sorry to say that's the only good thing about the new business. The employees are unpleasant and act like it's a huge inconvenience to give you a box to go, to give token back for the games taking your money and on top of that each game costs 4 "tokens" to play. So you're going to spend $30 on pizza and salad and drinks, another $20 to keep the kids happy with overpriced games, and the staff acts like they hate their jobs and lives. We ordered a delivery (not our first one) and are called back 10 min later to tell us we are out of their delivery area, VERY RUDELY. they have zero customer service, and I have never been talked to in that way by anyone in the customer service industry.
