As soon as you walk in, you can smell the wood burning, smells great. The inside is small but not cramped, it's modern and cozy. They have a nice bar, it seems cute for a date night or to grab cocktails with a few friends. Pretty simple menu, they specialize in wood-fired pizzas and cocktails. We got the seasonal salad, which was solid. This rotates based on what's in season - it had nectarines, tomato, burrata - nice and clean, but the portion was pretty small. We also got the chicken cutlet, which came covered in a salad-type mixture. The salad topping was actually great, I would've eaten this as a salad by itself, but the chicken cutlet didn't have much flavor or seasoning. The sun-dried tomatoes in the topping helped add flavor, but on its own, the chicken was very thick and bland. We also got 2 pizzas, Girl Crush and Chicago Fire. These were thin crust pizzas, and while the dough and the toppings were good, there was WAY too much cheese on them. I say this as a cheese lover, but the pizzas were weighed down so heavily by the cheese that it was very difficult to pull slices apart. The ratios just seemed off. Flavor wise, we preferred the Girl Crush. The lemon fragrance is pretty strong on the Chicago Fire, so it overpowered the other flavors.
