The dining room wallpaper had to be removed, and underneath it, the plaster was cracked, buckled and peeling. All our concerns were met by Olgers promise to take care of it and make it right. I have posted some pictures to show the hard work his team did in pur home. They were here a week, the wallpaper was peeled, walls scraped, washed, sanded and skim coated before they painted. They moved all the furniture and covered all the floors before they started the work. I am very impressed by there attention to detail and the daily cleanup at the end of the day. They swept up and carefully put their tools and paint away. Please note: Olger Fallas also provided the paint and supplies, I did not have to run to the store for anything. When we started searching for furniture for our new house a few years ago Derbyshire popped up on just about every list I checked and had plenty of great reviews. Now that we've made a few of our own purchases I totally understand the praise this small business gets. The shop is small but mighty and packed with so many good pieces. If your style leans traditional - they've got it. If your style leans more contemporary/modern - they've got it. Plus a few things in between that could go in either direction and work with just about any style or decor. Everything is solid wood and totally customizable. You can pick your stain or paint plus your hardware (should you order something with hardware, of course). The couple that owns the shop have always been very kind and very patient, answering all the questions... especially when I was coming in every other week for too many weeks to look at dressers before I finally made up my mind. Lead time was accurate, delivery days/times were accommodating and the guys that arrived to place our items were totally courteous. For our last order/delivery the guys didn't leave until they leveled our dressers perfectly. I didn't even have to ask.. they just did it and that's how a good delivery and install team should operate. Truly, I only have good things to say about Derbyshire. Next piece of wood furniture that we need I will definitely be stopping in Derbyshire first to check things out.

I was on the market for painters to help paint my entire apartment (2br 2ba including doors, trim…read moreand baseboards). After doing some research, I knew I wanted to use BJ Moore Regal Select paint which was consistently ranked as the best quality interior paint and we had our colors & finishes already selected. I reached out to 5 different painters to learn about their services, get estimates and I scheduled in-person walkthroughs for my top 2 choices. The walkthrough meeting and followup Q&A really sold me on Century Painting, we hired them and were not disappointed. Jorge (the owner) was responsive, very professional, timely and offered helpful advice about care / maintenance. I requested an initial estimate and covered the majority of questions thru Yelp, shared photos and a floor plan over text, and covered followup questions with Jorge over text and a brief walkthrough meeting I requested so I could get better acquainted with them and be completely transparent about the project scope for our specific space so there wouldn't be any surprises down the road (we have high ceilings and structural beams that might be tricky). Jorge was quick to meet and he provided a firm estimate in writing to me over email. Jorge provided a very competitive quote for the job and he required no advance deposit (most required 10-50% down). He also accepted credit card payment as an option, with full payment expected only when they completed the project (note: they were the only painter of the 5 that accepted credit cards). Jorge and Carlos showed up on time every morning, was able to provide a COI to meet my bldg's requirements, and they came ready to work with all the necessary paint and supplies. They took good care to move / cover our furniture and hardwood floors so they were protected and made sure to return everything clean and put back in place. Jorge encouraged us to identify any holes we may need patched or painting misses that needed correction - tbh, most of these things were proactively detected by them first. They really paid meticulous attention to ensure the quality of their work - and invited us to call them if we had any issues after the project (since we have furniture being delivered following the project). We fortunately had a little paint leftover so we're keeping it just in case we scuff any of the new paint in the process. They were done with the project in 2 days (others quoted me for 3-5 days with 2-4 painters). They were truly a pleasure to work with. We chose 2 dark colors and 1 light color - everything got at least 2 coats of paint but the dark colors required at least 4 coats. It came out beautifully (see pictures). I can't thank Jorge and Carlos enough. Highly recommend you check them out for yourself - I doubt you'll be disappointed.

More Details: I contacted Leo (owner) of Jordan Painting to repaint my 3,000 sqft, 3 floor house that I recently purchased but haven't moved in yet. Leo was professional, responsive and showed up for our initial walkthrough on time on a Tuesday to discuss what needed to be done. His prices were very reasonable and his crew began work the very next day on a Wednesday. Because we had movers scheduled for that following Monday. Leo and his crew rose up to the challenge and worked from 8 in the morning until 11pm at night and finished what should've been a 1 week job in 3 days time without additional cost. Afterwards certain parts of within my walls had issues where the nail head in my sheetrock was loose creating "nail pops" against the paint. Leo himself came out, drilled open holes and moved the nails and repainted and refinished all the bad sections again over a 2 day period. Excellent follow up in resolving an issue that was not his to begin with. My walls look excellent now. Because of his high quality work as well as responsibility and ownership I immediately hired him as well to refinish and restain my outdoor deck. The first project, several years ago, involved painting multiple interior rooms and crown molding. Most recently, I hired them to paint three new structural porch columns and my front door. While that may sound like a straightforward job, it really wasn't. Black structural columns are not something you see every day, so preparation, product selection, and attention to detail were critical to getting the look I wanted and ensuring the finish would hold up to the elements. Bob came out to provide the estimate. He was professional, easy to work with, and, most importantly, took the time to listen to what I was trying to achieve and the concerns I had about the project. He was also able to get the work scheduled within the same week. I worked closely with Ron, who I believe was the lead painter on the job. He was incredibly knowledgeable and detail-oriented. I supplied the INSL-X primer recommended for fiberglass columns and discussed paint options with him. He agreed with the approach and helped ensure the project was done the right way rather than just the fastest way. The work took two full days and exceeded my expectations. The crew took great care to protect my brand-new porch, covering the decking and railings thoroughly so there was no risk of paint getting where it didn't belong. What really stood out was the follow-up. Both Bob and Ron checked in independently after the work was completed to make sure I was satisfied. They also made it clear that if any issues came up, they would come back and make it right.
