Requested a price check on 2 pair of slides I wanted to purchase, the price was marked with a marker on the sole. When I asked if I would have any issues returning the item without a tag Bianca said I could only return them to this particular store. And even then she couldn't guarantee I wouldn't have any issues with the return just in case the slides did not fit my son. If they can't even answer basic questions about their return policy, that's a big red flag. I asked her if she was ok, because of her off putting demeanor she responded yes. I decided to go elsewhere. I hope Bianca has a better day or finds a job where she doesn't have to deal with customers. read more

I went to return it at this location and was told that I needed to go return it at the Ross store where I purchased it...WTF? Nice and clean! This Ross location is in the Rocklin Commons shopping center in the same area as Studio Movie Grill. This is my first time here. The store is nice and bright with natural lighting in the daytime coming from outside enhancing the already well-lit store inside. The store is spacious and I found the aisles to be nicely spaced with the products and goods nicely stacked and organized in shelves. I'm not sure how busy this location gets but there seems to be more selection of merchandise here as compared to our Roseville location on Stanford Ranch where everything seems to be picked over. I will frequent this location more as this isn't too far from my home. It is also near a Target store so very convenient when shopping for brand-name clothing, shoes, accessories, housewares... whatever you may need. Bad all around ...Rude condescending security , huge line ,only one checkstand open , asked to open another , rolled her eyes said that they were on break . Manager does not care.. Stay away from this place . Looks like bad customer service its a trend with all Ross stores nowadays clearly condoned by the manager especially at this location . This place went from bad to worse in just few years .You get the Walmart kinda vibe , at least expected at Walmart though ,never thought Ross will end up this bad ... Other reviews are spot on . I love going to Ross. But this Ross excursion was especially exciting! I needed to find a nice blanket for the dog I was about to rescue and I knew that Ross would have this blanket! I considered going to the target but that's a lot and I thought I would need to walk through too much of the store just to find a baby blanket so Ross was my choice! We walked in and the blankets were on display at the very front of the store. BLANKETS!!! (Trying to see how many times I can say 'blanket' in one review). As if this wasn't a sign enough that the decision to go there was of sound mind, we immediately secured an Alpaca blanket. Which is basically just a really soft blanket with alpacas on it. Ross is our goto spot for a variety of items. Ross can't be beat if you are looking for bed linens or towels. I have found some excellent dog toys there too! Every Ross I've ever visited has had a good variety of products to tempt you into stretching your budget. Their ads say 'designer goods at bargain prices" and I do often see recognizable labels there. I've found surprising bargains on cosmetics as well. read more

I absolutely LOVE this Ross!!! This is the best Ross I've ever seen or been to. And the staff!!! Amazing! Everyone of them. Janice, Dayle, Lynn and Beata are the managers and they all go above and beyond to help everyone. The workers I do know are Itcell, Donna1and Donna2, Kendra and a beautiful colored young lady(I can't pronounce her name) are quick and so pleasant at the same time. I've seen a couple of bad reviews but those HAD to of been before I started coming here. I've never encountered anything remotely like those people said. I came here today for the very first time I had called up prior to make sure they had an item I needed this location is very big with lots of nice items to offer very clean establishment lots of namebrand stuff including clothes including pet items and much more this establishment also sells a lot of namebrand shampoos namebrand purses namebrand wallets and lots of namebrand clothing for half the price This is definitely a place to go if you were on a budget because you could find a lot of stuff for a very great price plus this establishment has every Tuesday senior citizen discount which is 10% off your order which is great to stalk up on a lot of stuff this establishment has a very Large selection of the items and this location also sells furniture they also sell formal dresses and they also sell lots of name brand shoes they also sell a lot of namebrand comforters and sheets I highly recommend this location to anybody in the area looking for a great deal they have everything that you could possibly want to even have gift bags for all occasions and they also have a very large toy selection I look forward to my next visit here again very soon for more great deals and more great stuff read more

This location has a great selection and the gal who assisted in the fitting room was a breathe of fresh air compared to the other employees. The fitting rooms also had doors that actually locked which was a nice change from other worn-down Ross stores. I have been to this location a few times and each time the same front desk clerk is working. She SHOUTS at every, single customer who enters the store "HELLO. WELCOME TO ROSS."In the same monotone, bored voice time after time. Yet she barely acknowledges the person she is currently ringing up at the register. It's quite bizarre that you get minimal interaction while making a purchase only to be startled by her shouting to the new customer entering. read more

customer service here sucks! I don't expect much from Ross, but geez, you can't smile? I was buying small traveler's coffee cup and was finally rung up at the register. The girl at the register was not nice at all. She bagged the item and the receipt printed but didn't even rip it off the machine to give it to me. She then proceeded to take a phone call without handing me my shopping bag with my item in it, nor my receipt. like okay it's one thing for not greeting me, giving me my bag and receipt, but not even a "thanks have a good day." I had to grab my bag and receipt for myself which was across the counter. There was even just another worker standing behind her talking to her and didn't even care. This Ross store is huge and very spacious. Being that it's new, it's clean, which is not true for all stores. The inventory seems small and sparse. This Ross is easy to shop in and there was hardly anybody there. I definitely think they should have some team training a and work on customer service. I had and witnessed some highly awkward interactions and strange answers to questions asked. Also the loss prevention person didn't say hello, nor smile which is kind of a turn off entering the store. I must say I don't like Ross' new policy to hang your clothes on their rack before you go into the dressing room.....even for one garment. I do appreciate Ross stores and really like their variety, sales point and think their buyer is a genius. read more

Do not buy beauty products from ROSS!!! Bad customer service. I unfortunately bought makeup from this store. Of course I'm a girl so was excited and tried it as soon as I got home. It was extremely cheaply made. The bristles were falling out of the brush and we're left on my face. Although the makeup did not stick to my face :-/ When I went to return it the cashier stated that if you use a product it cannot be returned. Regardless if the product does not work, you will not get a refund OR store credit. I said ok, and asked her to please throw it away for me since the product and the receipt were the only thing I had come in with. She looked at me like I had thrown it in her face! During the entire transaction she was never nice. If that's store policy, I get it, telling me no refund is you doing your job. But, good customer service is about how you deal with the customer and how you make them feel. I won't return to this ROSS and upper management needs to look at the trend of their reviews. read more

I frequently visit all local Ross, Tj Maxx and Marshall's stores in Placer County. Although each store is great in its own right, I find the customer service to be far superior at Tj Maxx and Marshall's. Simply stated, Ross employees, and quite frankly their management, don't give a damn about the customer. Case in point; 2 nights ago I was shopping at the new Ross in Rocklin. I got in line to make my purchase and counted 8 customers in front of me. I look over at the register area and there is only one cashier. So typical of Ross. The lady checking out is buying 44 pillows and 14 outfits from clearance that she wants another 10% off on because a thread was hanging off the pocket. As my blood pressure begins to rise, I gaze across the store to see an all to familiar sight. One employee hanging up ladies undergarments. Another rearranging men's belts. Then there's always the one lady...the lady who's restocking the women's section 10 feet from the register who pretends not to notice the line has wrapped itself around the store. Just hanging up blouses..day dreaming about that 15 min break she'll get in 37 minutes. But I digress..Finally, sensing major tension in the checkout line, the overwhelmed cashier gets on her signature James Bond earpiece and calls for "back up." Florence Dipwitz (the aforementioned lady who was 10 feet away) hears the call in her earpiece, looks up and pretends to be surprised. As Florence rushes to the register, a calming spirit rushes over the long line of customers as if to say, "Hallelujah! Florence D. will save the day!!" 10 minutes later, I walk out of another Ross wondering why I ever go back. Wondering why they think it's more important for 3 employees to stock shelves while fuming customers needlessly wait in line. Here's a tip for you oh high and mighty Ross customer service policy maker geniuses: make customer service a priority. Tell Florence, Gladys and Gertrude to pay attention to the checkout line. Hint: that's the one customers stand in to give you money so you can stay in business. When they see 3+ people, stop stocking and move quickly to open a register so said customers can go about their day.
