I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Ross. I purchased a top and a pair of sandals from this store and returned the very next day with my receipt. When I got home after my purchase, I immediately noticed that the stitching on the top was coming undone. Since I hadn't even tried it on, I decided to bring it back the next day. I really liked the sandals and wore them while walking my dog. After less than 10 minutes of use, I noticed the upper portion of the sandal was already separating from the sole because the glue was failing. This happened within a day of purchase and after only a few minutes of wear. It was clearly a product defect, not normal wear and tear. When I returned to the store the next day, the defective top was accepted for return without any issue. However, when it came to the sandals, I was referred to the manager, Chelsea. What upset me the most was not the decision itself, but the way I was treated by the manager. As I tried to explain that the sandals had fallen apart almost immediately due to a defect, Chelsea repeatedly told me, "I can't return it because you wore it." Her tone was rude, dismissive, and increasingly aggressive. Instead of listening to my concerns or considering the fact that the sandals had failed after less than 10 minutes of use, she continued repeating the same statement louder and louder. I felt talked down to rather than helped. The interaction became so uncomfortable that a security guard moved closer during the conversation. As a customer who was simply trying to return a defective item purchased the day before, I found the entire experience embarrassing and unnecessary. What makes this even more frustrating is that Chelsea acknowledged she understood the situation and agreed the sandals had been worn only briefly, yet still insisted there was nothing she could do. That simply did not feel like someone trying to help a customer or find a reasonable solution. A defective product purchased one day earlier should not become the customer's problem. I rarely return merchandise. In fact, I can't remember the last time I returned something. But when a pair of sandals starts falling apart almost immediately after purchase, I believe a retailer should stand behind the products it sells. Instead, I was met with poor customer service, an aggressive attitude, and no effort to resolve a legitimate quality issue. On top of that, this store is often disorganized, overcrowded with merchandise, and difficult to shop in. The shopping experience feels chaotic, and the quality of the merchandise clearly does not justify the lack of customer support. Ironically, this experience has turned me into a loyal shopper at Kohl's. I consistently find better deals, lower prices, higher quality products, and a much more pleasant shopping experience there. With Nordstrom Rack nearby and many other retailers offering better quality and customer service, there is simply no reason for me to continue shopping at Ross. Losing a customer over a defective $30 pair of sandals purchased the day before and treating them this way seems shortsighted. For the poor product quality, lack of customer service, and the rude and aggressive treatment I received from management, I give this store 1 out of 5 stars and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I really love their home decor/kitchen/homewares sections as they have a great variety of items. Lots of items to organize your home/life with. Sometimes they have great deals on great shoes/beauty/holiday decor. I don't usually have luck with clothes/purses/small accessories and jewelry, but my husband has great luck with pants, jackets, and belts. The check out line can be long, but the check out experience is always a breeze and easy. read more

I have been in many Ross stores. I understand that when you go in it will be cluttered it may be messy and it will be a treasure hunt. With that said this might be the worst location I have ever gone into. The aisles are so small that only one person without a cart can go down at a time. If you have a cart forget about it. It's like traffic you have to wait for somebody to leave the aisle to go in. They don't care they just cram more stuff. It's so bad that you can't get out of the some of the aisles because they have carts or products blocking it. I'll give it to stars because they have so much merchandise they don't know where to store it so it makes for a lot to look at. Will I ever go in there again probably not! Even getting to the checkout is confusing. They have two different lines but only one leads you to the exit. Who set up the store who is management here?! Somebody who obviously doesn't care about anything read more

They have one of the biggest selection of everything, compared to the other Ross stores in this area. The only issue is that the store is pretty small compared to all the merchandise they have. They should find a bigger building, in the same area would be fine. It's hard to move on through the aisles. Plus some people have no common sense and bring the carts into the aisles, even though they know it doesn't fit. The prices are way better than going to a thrift shop!! I do miss my Latino people working there, they have personality and have great customer service skills. But I guess ICE has made it a point to terrorize the brown community and you don't see them working there anymore! And they're legal!! But sure let's make America horrible again. Anywho, let's hope that things get better and we can go back to working and living together like good human beings. read more

The worst customer service ever, literally went back because got home and I noticed I had some stuff missing, went back the next available day I had with everything still in the bag and receipt and didn't want to give me a refund nor did they saved the item already paid for. No money back & no item either ??? Biggest scam ever! Was told they couldn't do anything about it ?? Total bs. read more

Why do they have an employee at the front door yelling at customers on their way in??!! "HELLO WELCOME IN!!!!!!!!" In a very mean and stern voice. He scared the shit out of me when I walked in. This is super inappropriate and he needs to be stopped! It makes for a very unpleasant shopping experience. I'd rather go to Target and won't be coming here anymore because of him. read more

Let's start with their loss prevention staff (BIERTHA) no I didn't spell it wrong that's how this lady's name is spelled! I went today with my son to pick out a few things and she just was bluntly rude, when I was leaving she checked my receipt and not just looked in my bag with 3 small items she moved them around with her dirty hands! Management and corporate do something about this nasty lady please!! read more

Ross gives me headaches, let's face it, the store is way too full and you can barely walk through the racks. The shoes are always all over the place and employees seem to not care. I do like a good deal but I only go for shampoo and decorations. When I was paying, the cashier was casually talking to the security guard like I was not there. Don't be rude, you have plenty of time to talk to him after we leave. read more

I usually don't give a business a bad review. It is only when that business has mistreated me in some way. The reason why I am giving this Ross Dress for Less Store a (one star) review is because of the really (poor customer service) that I received when I wanted to ask a question regarding "Where are their women's socks located at? I was also looking for some tee shirts to buy that day. I waited near by the front counter because I wanted to ask where the women's socks are located at in their store? Then this woman cashier with heavy makeup on and her hair in a tight bun said to me (Your not allowed to cut in front of the line and told me to (Get to the back of the line like the rest of the customers!) She was really rude to me and she had a really angry look on her face. She should have waited until I asked her what I needed to find in their store or asked me "May I help you find something? Instead of making assumptions about (me) the customer that wasn't true. I have never been mistreated by any department stores that I have done my shopping at until that awful day at Ross Dress for Less. I walked out of that Ross Dress for Less Store and I have never returned to that store again due to their really bad customer service. I deserve an apology for that woman cashier's bad behavior. Every customer that shops at Ross Dress for Less Store should be treated with Respect and Kindness. read more

Customer service has been really sucking. A cashier named Diana seemed like she was mad. I work in customer service and I totally understand when you're having a bad day. Honestly not the best ROSS I've been to. Their selection was very minimal and they didn't offer much variety. I went for workout clothes and they only had one row of bottoms. The staff wasn't very pleasant either. One of them wasn't pleased I asked for help and checking out they didn't even speak to me, just the other cashiers. I seemed to have a rather positive experience here. I gave it four stars due to a credit card issue (policy) they have which I will explain at the end. Every time, without fail, security greets you at the door with a smile (usually a pleasant one, rarely forceful) and a big "hello". I rather be left alone while shopping so I am glad the employees are usually found stocking shelves and not bothering customers lol. Although, a stand-out employee is almost usually always found talking to customers with a nice smile and pleasant attitude, his name is Gustavo. I think he may be one of the store managers. I do not mind talking to him every time I go in. He always asks if I found everything I am looking for and goes out of his way if I am ever looking for some thing. He is always, ALWAYS busy re-organizing the store. I feel bad because it is a never ending job! People act like vultures (especially around the Holidays) and dig around and leave random things lying around and employees end up putting it all back. What a mess sometimes! I rather go either real early or as late as possible to avoid long lines or messy isles. Anyhow, I hope Ross gives Gustavo a raise, or at least recognition of his hard work because he deserves it!! =) Like I said, the lines get pretty long in the afternoons till about 9pm. Then it is generally no wait times but even when the lines get long they usually are well staffed at this location. They have a great selection of merchandise. They say their stock comes in on a daily basis so that explains why they are well stocked although, they got hit hard around COVID that almost EVERYTHING was off the shelves at one point! Anyhow, that has been my experience in the past 2 years I have visited this location. Now for the credit card story! So, I bought a sweater for my teenage son with a credit card and when I got home and showed him the nice sweater I got, he ended up not liking it. I had time that day so I went back in within that same hour to return the sweater. I never had any problem at any other store making a same day return. Well this girl got a major attitude with me because she told me she was unable to make the return that same day "because their system" wouldn't allow it. I told her how can she not return my merchandise if I had a receipt accompanying my purchase? She spoke to her manager and then she said she would need to scan my I.D. Red flags went up for me because I do not like anyone scanning my I.D. Who knows what info is taken, stored etc. Plus, Ross, as many other major retailers, are joined by "the retail equation"- (a Verify Return Authorization system that uses your I.D to track returns) basically, anytime you do not have receipts, you are getting tracked. I do not need to be in that type of system, I am not trying to swindle/ defraud anyone/any business. I felt more disrespected more than annoyed of the fact I couldn't get my refund. She told me in a rude way "You can just come back tomorrow without having to swipe your I.D.". Not even recognizing my time is valuable.... so I was stuck with a sweater for that day. I called the regional office and they walked me through the Ross website , under return policies: where it states we are subject to show I.D. for returns. Even after explaining that I do not want to be part of the retail equation system. It is what it is so I try to buy things in cash if I buy gifts for anyone. I do not see how a person is required to show a I.D. for a return if someone buy a gift in cash, or worse, if a minor makes a transaction and they do not refund the minor due to lack of I.D. how is that even lawful in the laws of commerce? So due to that reason, 4 stars! =) read more

Cashiers are so rude, I ask if I could see a item and the girl literally ignored me, i understand they are always busy and they have to deal with so many people(some rude) but if I ask nicely if I could see something at least respond nicely as well. This place is a mess! I don't know what the deal with Ross is, every location has the longest check out lines ever! We are talking over 20 people in line with two cashiers working, beyond frustrating. Service is non existent, good luck finding anyone for help. Selection and prices are great though and really the only reason i seek them out every so often. I got great deals in pillows and bedding, carpets and curtains here, the clothes are not for me, the decor items are ok as well. 3 stars if it were not for the long wait to pay, otherwise ok. read more

I'm giving this Ross 3.5 stars because they are very affordable but you have to be careful what you buy. I normally don't shop here but sometimes I need something that I can't find anywhere else. I love when I find what I'm looking for at a great price. I remember when I came here looking for a shirt to go to Palm Springs. I knew what I wanted and had gone to Macy's and Target with no luck. I've visited this location only twice. This I will mention, will be a stop only for convenience and as a last resort. Today's visit was to the children's area in search for a gift. The selection is very limited in the clothing and toys area. I know that most of the department stores such a this are in disarray, this will be added as well. As I walked through a few departments and glanced at the others on my way to the register, it seemed as though it was lacking inventory than the other stores I've been to. Luckily, I was able to find a few gift items. Another area that was lacking, the customer service at the register. read more

I love coming to Ross when I'm bored and always have a pleasant experience. I never have a problem with this Ross and never leave empty-handed because the deals are too good. But I understand that the store needs to be clean before closing, with that said, it left a nasty taste in my mouth when I overheard a bigger white lady say to a couple customers looking at clothes "If you're not going to buy it out it back on the racks cause I just cleaned it." I'm sorry but that should never be said to a customer- especially when there were many customers shopping in that same area. This employee needs basic customer service training and diversity training since she apparently doesn't know how to talk to people of color. read more

Terrible service!! They don't even deserve 1 star! Horrible location, my wife purchased a dress for 17 dollars and she wasn't able to try it on due to COVID. (Which is understandable) She was not given a receipt and went to go back a couple days later with the tag on it saying 17.99 and they said the store had put it on sale for 2.49 so they were only going to give her 2.49 store credit because she didn't have the receipt. How cool! Ross opened up this new location. It's in the same shopping center as KMart, Fallas, and Big Lots. I believe their location used to be Rite Aid. It's your standard Ross Department store. There were a ton to look at and to choose from. I was able to find work out bottoms for about $10 a piece. Heck yes! It also was clean, not too cluttered (yet!), and their customer service was surprisingly great. This Ross is pretty close to my home but I rarely shop here because they don't stock a lot of designer brands and the store is not laid out very well. Today I was able to find one blouse I liked (& bought) but the overall experience wasn't great. This location isn't my favorite but, this neighborhood really needed a Ross. The Kmart closed and it was the big box anchor store. I don't know why I continue to go here.. maybe it's because of convenience, but It's never a good experience. The employees are not friendly. They don't respond when you say thank you- they'll just look at you. Loss prevention is WAY more friendly than the actual employees and what's funny is loss prevention greets you when you walk in, unlike the employees. The whole store needs to be retrained on customer service as well as cleanliness. The dressing rooms are absolutely disgusting. Not to mention the sizes are all over the place- I was looking in the "Small" sizes only to be really looking at mediums and larges on a small hanger.
