I bought several items including the coffee towels for gifts. The first few days I was here I had a hard time making it in to the store before they closed.....Before Covid they used to close at 6 but now it must be 5pm. Anyway I made it in and I love all the new items. This is my second year of coming to Carlsbad for an Extended stay during the summer & while I'm here I make a point of shopping small & local. Face mask are required, hand sanitizer is located at the front door for your use.....They are Cleaning between customers...... The staff is always supreme! Very helpful & have great suggestions.....They always ask if you need anything wrapped. Absolutely doing everything they can to make you feel comfortable during this crazy time.

I have been in this shop numerous times as I am a local. And every single time I am in the shop the…read moreemployees ignore me. They are so cold and unfriendly. I don't understand how hard it is to say "Welcome" or "Hi". Do I not look like your typical client? They seem to judge whom they're going to engage with and not engage. From other reviews on here this seems to be on ongoing issue with the employees. It's all about the TRAINING!!! I like the clothes but I just can't see giving money to this establishment when the employees can't engage. I walked in yesterday and there were two employees who never once said one thing to me. I walked around picked up something I was going to buy and then I put it back because no one spoke to me. This has not been the first time no one has spoken to me. I walked out and down the street and made purchases at two other boutiques because they were friendly and engaging. Please teach your staff how to be kind and welcoming to all. It's really not that hard. The women working here don't seem to care about customer service or they don't know how to engage with customers because they haven't been trained. I still have a gift card to use here and it will be awhile before I decide to use it or give it to someone else.

I used to shop for myself at Tilly's until I got too old. Lol. Now I shop there for my daughter…read more Today Tyler assisted me with getting some shoes for my daughter. She hit a huge growth spurt and I wasn't exactly sure how shoes should fit on her, and he was exceptionally helpful. He got us out 3 different sizes, laced them up, felt her toes and spent time explaining to me how to tell if the shoe is a good fit for a growing kids foot. I was super impressed with his customer service. He was so patient even though the place was slammed and tons of other people were coming at him. I cant remember the name of the gal who helped us at the dressing room, but she was super upbeat and helpful. She helped us grab different sizes and styles of clothing. I have seen reviews where people knock the store for it's prices. They must not understand that this store sells name brand items and is consistent with other stores selling the same items. I understand not everyone can afford it, but it's not fair to rate the store low because of its prices when they are fair. There are plenty of stores with less expensive options available. This Tilly's is always super clean, well stocked, and has super customer service oriented staff. I also love the Moolah bucks you rack up and can use towards future purchases. I'll be back in a couple months for back to school shopping!

I love this company! I have shopped here for a few years and always receive the best customer…read moreservice. The girls in the shop are lovely and professional- they just let you shop in peace and don't pressure you to buy or try anything on, which I think is a beautiful thing. Whenever I have a question and I reach out through Instagram I always get a response back within a few hours. Recently (during quarantine) I purchased a shirt for my mom for Mother's Day weekend & was scheduled fo pick it up, but missed the hours for pick up. The associate, Julia, reached out to me and offered to have it delivered to me all through text. It was awesome and so helpful during unpredictable times and was very helpful with my concerns for the item to arrive on time. Well it's only Wednesday and I have already received my package. Great job Van De Vort!

Seems like I missed the chaos of the opening because parking was easy and the store was not packed. The store was clean and well organized. I didn't need help but I saw staff members happily helping other customers. There were a lot of great items. The checkout lines were a bit long but they are at all of the rack stores and this one being new adds to that. It moved pretty fast though. I have been shopping at rack stores for many, many years. They used to have more items that came directly from Nordstrom's vs made for the rack stores. That being said, you can still find great deals. I'm so happy this store is located so close to me and I don't have to drive long distances to get there anymore.
