    Kitchen after remodel

Everything from start to finish of my kitchen remodeling was a great experience when working Scott Ross. When I met Scott it was due to a water leak I had in my kitchen he took care of everything that had to do with my insurance and getting it handled. He was very responsive and willing to inform me everyday on the progression of the kitchen and what was going on. Let me choose my design if the budget allowed it. Ross brothers construction is by far the best company I've worked with Scott Ross and his employees were all very friendly and educated I would definitely recommend to anyone interested in remodeling or when finding a company to work with your insurance when any damage occurs anywhere in your house.

Our Old Kitchen As repairs began

I have used Ross Bros. Construction twice now. The first time we used them for a smaller job a couple of years ago when a piece of our awning fell off and they did an outstanding job putting that back together. Well, earlier this year, our water heater burst and we had water damage and leakage occur which damaged our water heater closet as well as a portion of our kitchen floor and some of the cabinets as well. We were worried that if we didn't call someone soon the water damage would spread and ruin more of our house. I remembered that Ross Bros. had worked with us and our insurance company before and called them hoping they could help. The owner Scott was out the very next day and soon after began the water damage mitigation work once the insurance approved it. Scott was incredibly professional and explained all of the work that needed to get done. He was also very flexible and patient with us as we sorted out the claim with the insurance company and created detailed estimates that were clear. Because of the water damage, the water heater closet and flooring nearby had to be torn out and the rest of the wood had to be dried out. After that was done, Ross Bros.Construction rebuilt the water heater closet and installed a new water heater and rebuilt the floor and began work on rebuilding the rest of the kitchen. Ross Bros. did a phenomenal job putting our kitchen back together. We were kept in the loop the entire time and were able to pick out our floors and cabinet styles and colors. The workers who came out to work were very polite and courteous and did outstanding work. I can't believe how amazing our kitchen turned out. I cannot stress enough how much of an amazing job Scott and Ross Bros. Construction did. They were very understanding and well aware of the process with the insurance company, as well as were very professional and just a great company to have worked with. Thank you Scott and the team of Ross Bros. Construction for getting our kitchen up and running again!

Never answered calls. Referred by insurance. Do not recommend at all. Low balled when he showed up for an estimate.

Which means you run the risk of running into various levels of opinion and emotional impact due to the constant imposition of work impacting their usual day to day living situation. This job had high maintenance neglect from the previous duplex owner. Most likely, hadn't been painted in 30 years, possibly more. As with most structural neglect, there were issues with wood rot, termite damage and various degrees of stucco degradation. Jason's team was up for the task. There were tense moments, but Jason was calm (at least around me, haha) and handled little flare ups. Jason was up front regarding damage found and was detailed in explaining how his crew would address issues. This took a month due to the amount of damage repair, prep work and finally paint. Jason's crew made this duplex come from a tired eyesore into the quaint mid century cottages that they were meant to represent. Like always, Jason's crew cleaned up the worksite everyday. Made sure things like paint chips and debris were picked up nightly. For the quality and long lasting results that South Coast Painting provides, it's worth every penny spent. You can get cheaper bids, but know that some companies thin out their paint for a lower materials cost. If you want your paint job to last 3 years vs 8-12, that's your choice. My house was painted 9 years ago by South Coast Painters, and there is no peeling or fading. Even on black painted shutters. Personally I don't want my home painted once every 1/2 decade.

This time, I hired them to paint the shed, wrought iron patio furniture, kitchen cupboards, kitchen table and chairs, bar stools, and a corner cupboard. As always, Jason was responsive in communicating, competitive in pricing, professional in his dealings with me, and the quality of the work speaks for itself. I have recommended him to by neighbor as well who was absolutely thrilled with the exterior paint job Jason's team provided.

I hired this company for an approximately $11,000 exterior painting project largely because of its many five-star reviews and the extensive preparation process it promised. My Ring footage shows that the house was not power-washed before painting began. After inspecting the property, I found paint applied directly over dirt, cobwebs, insects, loose material and unsanded wood. Requested hardware was painted around or painted over, substantial areas were missed, large holes were filled improperly, and damaged stucco and wood remained unrepaired. These were not minor punch-list items to correct during a final walkthrough. Cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching and repairing are fundamental steps that should have been completed before any paint was applied. After I documented the issues, the crew returned for a second day. Unfortunately, I continued finding incomplete preparation, rough and unsanded wood, debris, open holes, improper caulking and unacceptable repairs. Instead of properly correcting and completing the project, Revive & Refinish informed me that it would not return because it felt there was a "lack of trust" in its crew and process. My concerns were based on Ring footage and extensive photographic evidence of the work performed. I am now left with an incomplete project and improperly applied paint that another licensed contractor will need to inspect and correct. Leaving unused body paint at my property does not compensate me for the defective work or complete the project. I have requested a full refund of my deposit and am obtaining an independent assessment and estimate for the corrective work.

I decided to use OCC Pro painting. They even went above and beyond by painting my cabinets and did it the right way with their synthetic paint and sanding down etc. They took off all the hooks, switch covers and etc before painting and not rushed. The house had not been painted since before we bought it 10 years prior, and the paint it had on it when we bought was already not great.we had a ton of dry rot, sections poorly filled with bondo by the prior owner, and old termite damage that had been filled with bondo. We did our due diligence and got several quotes. The painting quote itself was in line with most of the quotes we got, not the cheapest, but definitely not the most expensive. However a few things really stood out to me. First, All of the other quotes seemed to not actually include the cost of any of the fascia boards being replaced. 1 quote wouldn't touch them, 2 others said they would but on the actual quotes it just said "repair and fill with bondo". Mark was the only one who was straight forward. He said " look, idk what it's gonna be exactly and we won't know till we power wash, but in my experience based on what I'm seeing, you should budget an extra X amount for just wood replacement." When I called and asked the other companies I got quotes from that would repair paint they were weirdly cagey on this. In the end, we did infact need more wood replaced than what was originally planned for but the final product was well worth it. Which takes me to the other point. When it came time to finalize exactly what pieces needed to come down and the extra cost of the unplanned rotted wood, he gave us options. Options that included places we could forgoe a change in one area to balance the cost of the wood replacement in another. He didn't try to sell us on anything unnecessary, or weirdly extravagant either. He gave recommended paint colors based on what he painted his own house and gave advice on how to best pick the colors we wanted. Once we got into the project his team took over and were a pleasure to work with. They were hyper responsive to texts and calls and questions, and fixed things or helped adjust stuff as needed. For example we wanted a very specific color for the front door (Tardis Blue) and they got it custom matched for us. A few small places where I noticed something that needed a quick adjustment that I called or texted them for was fixed the next time I looked. They moved all of our outdoor furniture, grills, etc and put everything back exactly as it was when they started. They didn't leave any trash or mess as is often the case with multi day home reno projects. In all, the project took 2 days longer than originally anticipated but we had more work than anticipated. All in all, the experience was good enough for us that we ended up hiring them to do some painting of our interior doors that we just had replaced, and we'll likely keep them in mind the next time we need any painting.

These guys drove from the Corona/Riverside area to our home daily and showed up on time. We felt the pricing was fair for the size of our home, and the overall value for the work done was excellent. For only two painters, they were able to complete the work in the timeframe we were quoted, which was great. However, there were a few communication and cleanup issues that prevented this from being a 5-star experience. As a military family, we were grateful for the military discount provided by the project manager, Fermin. He was highly professional, communicative, and even included a few complimentary touch-ups, like refreshing our light fixtures and painting the side garage door.  Unfortunately, property care at the end of the project fell short. The crew removed our security camera bases to ensure an even paint job but didn't notify us where they were placed. We had to search our yard and eventually found them stashed inside our outdoor cat house and a flower bed. Additionally, the side garage door weatherstripping was removed for painting and left off. Even if the crew intentionally left it off to allow the paint to dry completely, failing to communicate that instruction to us, left us to figure it out and reinstall it ourselves.  The painting itself deserves praise, and the project manager provided our full paid receipt and warranty information as requested. However, better attention to detail regarding communication and final cleanup is needed. We were happy to support a business in the Inland Empire.
