He got back to me almost right away after I submitted my request and scheduled an assessment quickly. Ron, the technician, was friendly, professional, and took the time to explain exactly what the assessment involved and what repairs would be needed. Good communication can be hard to find, especially when dealing with home repair issues, and that alone made a great impression on me. I would definitely keep them in mind when I would need their services in the future.

They understood the urgency of the situation and had a team out to assess the damage right away. David and his crew were professional, knowledgeable, and thorough throughout the entire process. They clearly explained what needed to be done, kept us informed every step of the way, and completed the repairs efficiently and with high-quality workmanship. You can truly tell they take pride in what they do. What really stood out was how much they helped us navigate the insurance process. Dealing with insurance can be overwhelming, but Natalie worked directly with our adjuster, provided all the necessary documentation, and made sure everything moved along smoothly. It took so much stress off our shoulders during an already stressful time. We are beyond grateful for their quick response, expertise, and support. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of restoration services!

It started with a quick inspection which we got scheduled immediately. From there, Jim walked through exactly what the action plan was, and the crew was out within the next few days to formally start work. For almost 6 months of going back-and-forth with another company, We just couldn't get anything done. I needed a mold remediation company to help out our situation. I came across World Restoration and read so many wonderful reviews that I gave them a shot. It was by far the best experience. Keith was the main person I spoke with to set up a day for Jim to get out here and take a look at our situation. Keith also helped with giving us references for lead and Aspesos testing companies. He checked in on us so kindly to see if we had further questions. He was So friendly and helpful. Jim came out to our home and checked out the area that needed to get treated. He was also very friendly and explained everything they would need to do to get things done and completed. He was patient with me about all my questions. They were so patient with us as we needed to wait on some testing that we had to complete due to the year our home was built. Thankfully everything came out negative and the crew was scheduled to come out to our home. The crew that came with Jim were prompt, efficient and friendly. They really did a great job at taking care of the area to ensure the there were no leaks or mold growth behind our walls. Once the project was complete, I needed help finding a drywall company and Kieth referred me to a few. This company is so friendly and helpful and will explain to you what needs to be done, and will answer all your questions. They also have a great price! I strongly recommend World Restoration.

We used Restoration 1 of Irvine for damage mitigation from a slab leak in our home…read more I initially called a few companies, & Restoration 1 was the most responsive with communications--that's a good sign. Janny provided excellent, clear, accurate communications, quotes, etc. Restoration 1 started the mitigation process very promptly, given that we're working against the clock when it comes to water damage & possible mold. The crew, including Efren & Roberto, were quick, courteous, knowledgeable, & effective. They too kept us posted with text messages regarding visit days/times & scope of work each day. The mitigation & demolition (tearing up floors, cutting drywall & baseboards, drying, dehumidifying, disinfecting, etc.) took several days overall, so we had to coordinate several visits. I don't think the work could have gone any faster than it did, given the scope. The price was reasonable, as confirmed by an independent contractor whom we're hiring for some other home remodeling work. Janny was also responsive & helpful when our homeowners insurance company contacted Restoration 1 for detailed quotes & work scopes for the mitigation process & the reconstruction process. We have a Restoration 1 quote in hand for reconstruction, but I can't review that yet, because we're going to have our home repiped before we rebuild. I can only report that the reconstruction quote looks accurate & is priced fairly (again, per our independent contractor's review). Thank you

So, this is what to look out for, and the receipts to prove it: 1. TWIST FACTS/CHANGE NARRATIVE: - 6/1 "At no point did our team request that you provide materials..." - 5/21 "Please feel free to forward over the hygienist report and any other information necessary to help generate the remediation estimate." (They did indeed ask for materials but are now saying they didn't.) ___ 2. DEFLECT/IGNORE THE ISSUE RAISED -Dana "I've sent 3 emails to your 1 email..." -Janny "...if you are unwilling to provide results..." -Dana "I'm not unwilling. You just never asked. Why did it take this long to tell me that?" (My issue is their lack of communication, but she deflects to a story about me refusing asbestos testing, when in fact that conversation never happened.) ___ 3. DELAYED COMMUNICATION/NON-RESPONSIVE -- 5/21 Janny: "Please feel free to forward over the hygienist report...". --5/21 Dana:" They're attached, along with link to a few pics." (NO response) --5/27 Dana: "Please get it back to me...at your earliest opportunity." (NO response) --6/1 Dana: "Janny, are you getting my messages?" (NO response) --6/1 Dana (via Yelp): "...the lack of communication is very frustrating. It worries me that this is an indicator to what it's likely working with Restoration1." --6/4 Janny Yelp response "When you contacted our office approximately 1 week later" (2 weeks--not 1--and 5 emails/messages later, I finally get a response) ___ 4. CONTRADICT THEMSELVES --Janny: "You expressed to us on May 22nd that you did not want to proceed with testing" --Then her review says "Following the intial appointment [May 22nd] our office...left you a VM. Unfortunately we were unable to connect" (Here she says we talked, but her review contradicts her own statement) ___ 5. MISINFORMED, ARGUMENTATIVE, AND ACCUSATORY LANGUAGE --Misinformed/Accusatory: "You expressed to us that you didn't want to proceed with testing your property" --Accusatory/Argumentative: "If you are unwilling to provide results...we cannot proceed to assist any further" (Janny's tone is starkly different from most vendors'. They'd likely pose as a question--"Are you willing to" "I believe you expressed", --not an accusation.) Because of this, I'm changing my 2-star review to 1 star. But to be fair, this is just my experience. They do have great reviews, so you may have a better experience (if you decide to use them). Below is the original rating before this update: ____________________________________________________________ 6/3/2026 This is the email that I sent to Restoration1: "Hi Janny, I've sent 3 emails to your 1 email. And your 1 email was asking for materials I already provided. I was so impressed with your estimator's expertise and willingness to answer all of my questions that I likely wanted to use Restoration1, but the lack of communication is very frustrating. It worries me that this is an indicator to what it's likely working with Restoration1. The estimator came out May 21st. It's June 1st. Can you tell me what's going on with my estimate?" Their utter lack of follow-through was incredibly frustrating because I was super impressed with the estimator's professionalism, friendliness, and expertise. 1. The estimator came out May 27. 2. After a week I reached out. 2. Janny responded by asking for docs I already sent 3. I gave it to her again. 4. Then crickets... 6. I emailed a 3rd time for updates. No response. 7. I emailed again + messaged on Yelp 8. They finally responded saying I had refused asbestos testing, which they require. 9. I said I never refused because nobody informed me until 3 weeks in. So they asked for docs already provided (why ask for docs if asbestos was an issue?), did nothing for 3 weeks, said I refused asbestos testing, which wasn't true, and that I would've agreed to do the testing had I been informed, Janny's response was judgmental and rude. And the overall communication--or lack thereof--I received from Janny was misinformed, argumentative, accusatory, and rude. Had they told me about the asbestos testing requirement I would have complied. But, if my experience thus far was any indication of how it would be working with them, I decided to pass. I think I saved myself a lot of headache. Buyer beware.

HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK--awful communication, unprepared staff, failed inspections, and excessive delays. Here's my timeline of frustration: Sun 8/11/24 - Leak discovered. Mon 8/12/24 - Contacted Borna, owner, who scheduled a visit for the next day. Tues 8/13/24 - Borna arrived on time, assessed the damage, and took photos. Thurs 8/15/24 - Estimate received and approved by my landlord. Fri 8/16/24 - Borna informed me the team would arrive on Monday to begin work. Mon 8/19/24 - Crew arrived late (9:30am), and I was rushed to remove items. They were unprofessional--laying bathroom items on my bed and leaving shoes on after lunch, spreading germs throughout the house. Missing towel, and an overall messy experience. Tues 8/20/24 - Technician returned alone to continue work. A loud HEPA Air Scrubber was left for 2-3 days. Thurs 8/22/24 - No communication about scheduling. I had to reach out. They were coming to remove the equipment and prepare for mold testing. Fri 8/23/24 - Technician arrived late, and the lead left the apprentice unsupervised to run errands. Sat 8/24/24 - Mold testing done by Vert Environment. Inspector noted poor sealing of my door. Mon 8/26/24 - Mold test failed, and remediation was recommended. Scheduled work for Wed 8/28 and possible re-inspection on Fri 8/30. This added over a week to my timeline. Wed 8/28/24 - Technician arrived late, with scheduling changes throughout the day, causing more delays. Fri 8/30/24 - The crew arrived late and did a poor job sealing the door. They were inconsistent in their professionalism. Sat 8/31/24 - Mold inspector arrived on time for a re-test. Lab results took 48 hours. Tues 9/3/24 - No communication from SoCal Floor. I had to follow up to schedule restoration work. Wed 9/4/24 - Again, no communication, and I was left in the dark. Thurs 9/5/24 - Called and was told scheduling would happen on Friday. Fri 9/6/24 - Called in the evening with a vague schedule for Monday, 9/9. Mon 9/9/24 - A new crew (Restoration crew) arrived late, but they were polite and relatively professional. However, they had to borrow my bucket and ate in my room. Tues 9/10/24 - Restoration crew returned. The project manager provided updates. They planned to finish on Thurs 9/12. Wed 9/11/24 - Same crew returned, nice but, ate in my room, and playing loud music. Thurs 9/12/24 - Crew arrived late. Said done when the toilet was still in the shower, and the sink not fixed. Dangerous debris in shower. Fri 9/13/24 - After trying to reach them all day, Borna called back to say their plumber refused to return. I had to arrange a new plumber to complete the job myself. This entire process has been a disaster--poor communication, delays, and unprofessional behavior from the staff and subs. They did not finish the job, and I had to clean up their mess. The job that was supposed to take 2-3 weeks has dragged on for over a month, with constant scheduling conflicts and no accountability. I strongly do not recommend SoCal Flood for any restoration work.
