My review for the Roslyn Cafe has nothing to do with the food as I have never eaten here. This review is for the friendliest staff and Community supporters who work in this restaurant. Well visiting Roslyn and wanting to go to the barbecue place next door we found out that they were closed due to a private event. So we went into the Roslyn Cafe and asked them if there was another barbecue place in Roslyn that we could go to. The nice woman behind the counter not only referred us to a competitors restaurant, but called them to make sure that they were open as she noticed the disappointment in our eyes that we could not get the barbecue of the place next door. I am so impressed that this restaurant recommended their neighboring restaurant instead of only trying to push their own barbecue as to support the community and also went above and beyond to call for us was so great we will definitely be back to the Roslyn Cafe to try their food. read more

Such a great place! A friend recommended it after they went and we were so thrilled! The Fish and Chips (fries) are super delish. Huge chunks of fish, tarter that is dill-fully delightful and perfectly crispy fries. We also had the steak that comes with sautéed Wild mushrooms and it was fantastic! A must try! After years, I decided to try this place out as I understood it was under new ownership. My husband and I absolutely loved it! We super-enjoyed the mac n cheese and I loved my garden green salad with prawns added. My husband tried the Beyond Burger and thought it was outstanding. So slow... it's been over 30 mins since our order was taken, and still no sign of food. My 8 year old is currently offering to eat the table because she is so hungry. I had the basil margarita, it was weird. Not particularly tasty, just weird. The "copper" mug for the Moscow mule was a flaking, painted mug that I have no idea why it cost $10 to drink out of... After 45 minutes I was able to convince their server to bring my kid's grilled cheese sandwich. Unfortunately, there is still no sign of my salad or my husband's burger. read more

Some times you just need some good bar food and you can't go wrong with making a pit stop here. We were hungry after all the drinks that it was either this place or across the street. Glad we decided to come here. One of my friends got the spiced hot rum and it was delicious and warmed us up after being outside for a while (it was sunny yet cold). We all shared the burger and the chicken wings. The wings are HUGE, not like your typical puny ones that you get at some places. The burger was juicy and the french fries were perfect. Came by for the first time yesterday (Friday 10/12) at about 2pm. Had always heard of this place but never had the chance to stop in. It's very small inside, and there were only two open tables, both of which were dirty. The server cleaned one off for us, where we went and sat and waited. And waited. And waited. Watched 2 other tables order, and watched a server clean the other dirty table and seat another couple there that immediately got their drink order taken. After 15 minutes of waiting, we got up and left. On the way out we noticed about 6 tables didn't even have food yet, so we knew even if we stayed it was gonna be a long time before we ate. Not impressed. Not good service. I understand it's busy, but you can't just ignore tables. I really wanted to try the Salmon Omelette. Honestly, this was a big turn off and I probably will not attempt to return here. read more

What a find!! We had just finished a hike and we were chilled to the bone and so grateful to find the comfy adorable Roslyn Cafe. The servers were very friendly and and food was perfect. I had the delicious mushroom risotto and buttery tomato soup. My husband had a burger loaded with pulled pork which is his favorite. For dessert we shared a tiramisu that was as good as tiramisus we enjoyed in Italy. Five stars. I wish I could give this darling restaurant more. Highly recommended. read more

Rude staff, long long wait! People that came in after us were served Long before. Ordered grill cheese and already made quiche. Don't bother as locals seem to get served first. Waited 30 minutes. When asked to check on order the staff argued with us. Terrible disappointment . read more

Told when walking in that chef is not serving any more tables (see even though it's lunchtime), very ubrupt and rude. The people behind us were told by another server that they could leave their number and they would call when a table is ready... The other family were seated in five minutes. Haven't been here since the lockdowns etc, but looks like the change in management has some major teething and manner issues. Won't be back for a while. read more

We stopped in on our way to suncadia Sunday afternoon for lunch our usual spot would be the brick but wanted to try something different. Our first thought was why is it so empty in here when town seems to be busy. The menu I found online was not current as to what they had and that was a bit disappointing. Our server was friendly but I can guarantee she was new. She didn't know if you could for sure get fries with a kids burger. I also ordered the Chardonnay from the menu that said it was $9 a glass when in fact i was charged $11 per glass. Anyway limited menu my husband pastrami was good my house salad was ok and for 3 kids meals a house salad and a pastrami sandwich 2 beers and 2 glasses of wine $107 won't be our choice next time. read more

They charged me 25% automatic gratuity on a three person table. We got two burgers, one side of fries, and one milkshake. They charged us $71 for that when our check was supposed to be around $50. None of the workers making food were wearing gloves. Our server only came to the table once. I do not recommend this place. read more

The food is to die for! For brunch, we had the biscuits and gravy, the lighter option (a yogurt and fruit salad with delicious granola on top) and my 6 y.o. niece had the french toast. We devoured everything. The biscuits were so soft and the gravy was dangerously good. My tiny niece loved her plate so much she had no leftovers. The decor inside was very cute and the atmosphere very sweet and homey. I will definitely be going back if I ever make it to Roslyn again read more

Steve and I were on a road trip through Roslyn. We were hitting a bunch of breweries and went to a state park. We decided to visit (the very walkable downtown)Roslyn since the Northern Exposure tv show was pretty involved here at one time. We were pondering where to go and decided to hit Roslyn Cafe. The place was nice and laid back and service was friendly and prompt. We both got burgers here which were very good! They also came with a generous portion of shoestring fries that completed the eradication of out hunger. However we managed to split a dessert and we had a homemade berry pie which was great! THE BEST PLACE EVER OH MY GOD. My boyfriend and I stopped in this cute little town on the way home from paradiso. We were dead and needed nutrition so we stopped here after reading reviews. We started with the pretzel bites. All I have to say is Freaking order these if you're a pretzel fan. Sooo good. All homemade. I got the blue cheese burger and my boyfriend got the 1/3rd pound pork burger. I don't remember the exact names. These things are to die for. The meat is locally raised And the buns are homemade perfection. It's been days since I've been there and I'm still thinking about how good they were so I was like I have to write a review. Anyways. A couple of very recent & negative reviews that are so over the top to even be believable. Unfortunately, Yelp isn't being used the way it was intended. It's now become just another social media site for bashing & gossip. Sad actually Disgruntled folks attempting to stain & damage other people's personalities & businesses. Nothing but positive We enjoy sitting at the cozy 4 person bar and ordering the "triple cooked fries" with all 3 choices of their dipping sauces. Enjoying them with one of their choices of on tap IPA's. This was my introduction to Chef John's fish & chips. I'm extremely picky about my fish & chips. Equally as picky about my tartar sauce. I won't order fish & chips without really good tartar regardless of how well the fish is prepared. I've been hesitant about ordering any fish on the east side of the mountains. Worried about taste and freshness. I decided to take a chance on Chef John's fish & chips. It's now my favorite item on their menu. The fish is firm, flaky & juicy. The fish is encapsulated in a light / thin crispy batter with great flavor. The homemade tartar sauce is very good. Sounds trivial, but Chef John paired these 3 items perfectly. Fish, Triple Cooked Fries & the tartar. This is a Chef who gives a shit about the fine dining details. Right down to the tartar sauce. Frequently, the new owners have taken the time to briefly chat with us and other customers and / or, if not too busy, Chef John coming out from the kitchen to just say hello. They practice good customer relations. I also want to echo what another reviewer said. The floor staff is fantastic! This team works great together and the woman are always smiling and friendly. They've always greeted us with smiles & we've never experienced a negative vibe from them I'll I can say it that I recommend The Roslyn Cafe. Stopped in for breakfast - place wasn't very busy and the service poor at best. Not very friendly or very fast. Food was alright. We ordered biscuits and gravy - the biscuits were small and dense and the gravy was rich with small pieces of sausage. The pigs wrapped in a blanket wasn't quite as appetizing as it read- the waffle was dry with no flavor. Over al the experience was underwhelming. read more

It is open again and has new owners. Please be weary eating at this place. The new owners are from Seattle and are very rude people. Roslyn is a beautiful small town with amazing people in it and the new owwers have done nothong but talk bad abour their town and the people in it even the employees he hired. Even refered to previous owners jessica and cody as idiots a few times. Food ok just takes forever to get the food. I will not be back in this place till New owners are gone. There are a few other options in the area I would highly recommend not going is your a local because he only wants certain locals in there. He would rather pick and choose his customers. We are frequent visitors to Roslyn, as we have a cabin in Driftwood Acres on Lake Cle Elum. We dine at all the local restaurants...we like The Brick, Village Pizza, the newer Mexican Grill and we spend most of our Roslyn restaurant dollars with Basecamp, which is our favorite. We used to go to the Roslyn Cafe all the time because of the imaginative menu and excellent preparation and service under the old management. So on Friday, May 27th we decided to give the new folks a try, having not been there since the before times pre-Covid. We walked in around 6:30...my wife, my daughter and I. Folks who have been here before know how small it is...two booths to the right of the door and about five or six tables depending on configuration in the main room. The booths were full, as was the primary table in the window of the restaurant. This evening two tables centrally had been combined for a larger party, and they had already received their food. There was an empty four top against the far wall, and another two tables pulled together just adjacent with only one person seated. There were three visible floor staff...a younger woman who was expediting orders from the kitchen, and two wait staff. We waited just inside the door right next to the "please wait to be seated" sign. It was obvious that they were stretched, and given the recent staffing challenges across the service industry we were more than prepared to wait patiently to be seated. The fact that there was an unoccupied table indicated that the wait would likely not be long. This, unfortunately, turned out not to be the case. We stood at the door of the restaurant for almost 10 minutes. Ordinarily this is not an issue...as stated before, we are not uptight "westsiders" and we have an appreciation for the challenges small business is facing at present. This was different. At no point did any either of the servers, or the expeditor, make an effort to address us. No "we'll be right with you", no "sorry, we're so busy right now but I'll be right back". They moved through the very small main room, directly past us in the doorway, at least 10 times and at no point was our presence even acknowledged. We believe 100% in supporting small business, and frequently bypass chains to make sure our neighbors in the community are well-supported. We will, however, not return to the Roslyn Cafe. Sometimes, as with the Last Resort (restaurant, not shop/store/motel which are still excellent business run by invested new ownership) across 903 from our neighborhood, a new business owner deserves a couple of chances to prove that they are worthy successors to the previous owners. And unfortunately, as with the Last Resort Restaurant, they prove that they are unworthy of your patronage. I am afraid that the Roslyn Cafe is now one of these businesses. In a small town, that personal touch goes a long way and is frequently encountered so when it is missing, its absence is especially apparent. That was our experience with the Roslyn Cafe. They do not have that personal touch that the old owners had in spades, and that to me is very sad. read more

Absolutely delicious! We are in Suncadia a lot and can't believe this was our first time to this gem! All of our dishes were amazing - we enjoyed the Short ribs and Korean Fried Chicken (both of those were specials) and my son had the pulled pork on homemade pretzel buns. Sooo good! The food was overpriced, took much time, and the customer service was poor. My sister ordered a "salad" for 12$ and what came was 2 slices of watermelon. Our waitress also spoke to us in an indifferent tone. read more
