7/13/25 Zach and I decided to get brunch at Rosine's before heading back home. Since we had Coco, we requested an outdoor table. There was plenty of outdoor seating, but the tables and the seats were covered with lots of bird poo. We chose the table with the least amount of bird poo, but maybe the restaurant should try to clean the outdoor tables and chairs every now and then...our host didn't seem bothered by it which we thought was weird. Here's what we got: - Crab avocado benedict (mine) - Crispy hot chicken sandwich with onion rings (his) We waited about 15 minutes for the food to come out. Of the two plates, the crab benedict was actually good. The chicken was advertised as hot and crispy, but it was neither of those two unfortunately. The chicken was pretty bland and unappetizing. The onion rings were mediocre. Overall it was an okay brunch. It was a convenient spot since our hotel was nearby.

The service was good and the restaurant was clean. We came here for breakfast while in Monterey since it was visited by 3 D's back in the day. It was an average American breakfast. I was actually looking forward to having cake since it was my birthday weekend. I had the chocolate truffle cake and it didn't disappoint. I wanted something that wasn't too rich and this hit the spot. It wasn't too sweet, not too chocolaty, and the serving size was huge. Guy Fieri reviewed their lunch items and I would come back just to try them.

Service is always efficient and friendly. The pasta with meat sauce was delicious though slightly salty. Generous portions. Calamari now comes with French fries. Can be somewhat noisy but the dining room is fairly spacious. They have a few tables that boarder the outside dining patio which seem great for California dining especially with pleasant weather. Their cake display is well known and nearly everything in it is delicious- give tried nearly all of them and they never disappoint. Save room for dessert or take some home.

I've walked by this restaurant many times and always wondered why the line was so long to get in.......I know now, the food is AMAZING. Started off with a must "Guava Limeade" and ordered Chicken Parm (absolutely delicious) and breakfast sandwich (great bread and bacon). And then we finished it off with a Cake Flight (3 good size slices). Cookie Butter (Biscoff) Rating 9.732 / Lemon Blueberry Rating 6.712 / Chocolate Raspberry 8.443 And my waitress was Awsome......... So knowing this order a Guava Limeade, Chicken Parm, and for sure Cookie Butter Cake with a cup of Joe..... You will not be disappointed. PS- I bought a slice of Banana Nut Cake to go because why the F*#k Not

Depending on the time of day, Rosine's can get packed so it's best if you're approaching feeding time to stop in first. The waitresses that helped us were friendly and had some good recommendations. Food: Potato skins were good, happy they put the pico de gallo on the side. Potato and bacon were crispy. Lasagna - it has a nice meat:cheese ratio. I read reviews that it was salty & I thought it was seasoned well. The sauce was balanced. Porcini ravioli - this was the meh factor. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad. It was lacking a sauce. Garlic bread was good all around. Pricing is reasonable for the area. The outside patio area was perfect for the family and dog. They even brought out fresh water in a bowl!

Came in for a late lunch. It is conveniently located on the corner, but you may have a problem locating parking. They have parking on the street you just gave to drive slow and see if anyone is leaving. They have an area to sit outside but we sat inside. They do take reservations. It is a hopping place but they do seem to sit everyone fairly quickly. We were seated quickly and everyone was very nice. They have huge desserts displayed on the window case. The food was all very good portions and all very delicious and hot. Everything had flavor and had so much to choose from. My husband got the chicken parmigiana and it was really good. They accommodated me as I wanted chicken piccata but it is on their dinner menu but they still let me order it which was nice. It too was good and flavorful and had a lot of sauce. Both plates come with plenty of garlic bread as well. Merina our waitress was nice; a little slow but they were really busy so can't really complain.

Amazing food right in the heart of downtown Monterey. We stayed within walking distance and the massive cake display caught our eye. We celebrated a birthday here and we couldn't have picked a better spot. The food was delicious. The environment was very family and kid friendly but also a great date spot. Our food was delicious but the cake was the highlight of the night. We opted for the trip sampler and it was definitely a generous plate full. Overall it was an amazing night and worthy of a return next time we are in town

Had a really great experience at Rosine's in Monterey. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and everything felt very comforting and homemade. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive. Such a solid spot if you're looking for a good meal while in Monterey. Definitely a place I would come back to.

My family and I had a great lunch at Rosine's! There was no wait on a Tuesday afternoon for a party of 3. We got the hummus and loaded potato skins appetizers which both tasted great! We also had the chicken parm, lasagna, and the kids cheese pizza all delicious! Also worth mentioning was the guava lemonade which was my husband's favorite! We topped off the meal with two huge slices of cake to go ... lemon and cookies and creme 10/10!!

Had a family dinner here while visiting Monterey. This was a place that we saw on yelp but was also recommended by our hotel staff. We made reservations and we're seated right on time. The menu is varied with chicken, fish, meat, pasta, salad, salads, and more. They even have a kids menu which makes this place family friendly. They have cocktails and wine and beer. We had paper planes and martinis which were hreat and filled to the brim. We were able to make slight substitutions on Service was fast, portions are ample. The chicken piccata was done exceptionally well. Even though we were stuffed, we had to have a piece of their huge cakes. We chose the cookie batter cake, which has a biscotti cookie on top. Five of us ate it and all of us enjoyed it. We couldn't even finish it between the five of us. Highly recommend this place. We were so busy diving into our food. I didn't get pictures, but I did manage to grab a picture of this huge piece of cake that fed five of us with leftovers.

10/10 Definitely the best cakes I've ever had! If you're craving a truly good cake, this is the place to go. Every slice was amazing, well-filled, and clearly made with care. We started with the Chocolate Coconut Cake, and wow highly recommend. If you love Almond Joys, this cake is a must. It has the perfect amount of coconut shavings, almonds, and rich chocolate. Sweet without being overwhelming, incredibly satisfying, and super moist with a generous amount of filling. Absolute standout. The Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake was also very good. If you're a Reese's fan, this one's for you. Topped with Reese's pieces, peanuts, and a peanut butter drizzle, very indulgent. As a peanut butter lover, I definitely wished there were even more peanuts, but that's just me! The filling was good, though not as generous as the coconut cake, and the cake itself was slightly on the drier side, but still tasty and worth ordering. Overall, an amazing experience. I'll definitely be back to try all the other cakes in the future!

I came here one weekday evening for an early dinner at around 4:30pm and it was fairly busy - may be because of the holidays. Anyways, the server recommended their pastas. I got the lasagna with a cup of soup for an extra $1. For the soup, they were serving cream of mushroom or minestrone. I got the minestrone. From their menu, I saw that they were featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, where Guy Fieri tried their lasagna and their minestrone soup. Anyways, for the minestrone soup, it was very flavorful and delicious. I was surprised to find pieces of beef in the soup, but it also had a variety of ingredients too. For the lasagna, it was a huge portion. Pretty good, I loved the flavors of the lasagna. It had a nice sauce but a little salty for me. This also came with some garlic bread on a sesame bread. Lastly, they also have a bunch of desserts they make at their dessert case. You can go up to the case to pick which one you want. I tried their caramel cake - which had 6 layers where it was cake, caramel/syrup, cake, frosting. However - it was too sweet for me - but I tend to like things not as sweet. The cake itself was yummy and not too sweet if I didn't eat it with the frosting. I also got their lavender lemonade which had a nice lavender flavor with lemon. Nice refreshing balance for the meal. There is no onsite parking here (or that I noticed), but there is street parking. It's a nice restaurant, great place for dinner for a date, or with friends and family.

Just a gem of a romantic restaurant that is reasonably priced, service was excellent, staff friendly, had the lasagna with an added salad, the lasagna was generously portioned, fantastic cheesy flavor, and the croutons in the salad, were fabulous , they also possess a wide variety of desserts that are worth taking to go.

My partner ordered the breakfast skillet with chorizo, mushrooms, and avocado. Both were exceptionally delicious, and the skillet especially with their homemade bottled pepper sauce. It's available to purchase but they ran out when we were visiting. The pancake had bananas or walnuts in every bite, if not both. The maple syrup was also heated up so it made for a very pleasant experience. I'm normally a savory breakfast gal, but this called to me, and I'm so glad I went with it. And the skillet wasn't that spicy but packed tons of flavor. I could taste some smoke paprika, garlic powder, and a pleasant amount of salt and pepper. We enjoyed our time here, and since the business was slowing down, we were able to chat with our waiter and get some ideas for local spots to try. 10/10, we will be back again! :) Thank you so much!

Go out to brunch down at Pacific Grove and enjoy it at a leisurely pace when there are more locals than tourists. The weather was beautiful to enjoy a flavorful corn beef hash with poached eggs and Eggs Florentine Benedict outside under the Victorian facade of the house. The food and service were excellent and so enjoyable, returned just a few months later for the crab cake benedict from their special's menu and a meatball sandwich from their lunch menu under beautiful blue skies once again. Only note is I didn't see a price for the crab cake benedict so was surprised that it was over $30 when the receipt came. But I would definitely return, just maybe not for the crab cake benedicts unless I want a splurge. This spot is definitely worthy of my 1400 review and to take my childhood friend from back East for her favorite meal, brunch, the third time dining indoors. They must be doing something right if I am here 3 times in less than 6 months.

The vegetables were cooked perfectly with a nice crunch & grilled. My husband had Seafood Spaghetti, a nice huge portion with a lot of delicious seafood in every bite. We haven't been to Pacific Grove in years, we were very delighted with our food, service & the music in the restaurant was great.

He saw a review that said Googie had the best fish, so it needed to be seen to. We brought the family here for a birthday dinner and were blown away at the portion sizes, which were worth the price. My fiancé ordered the halibut, dad got the calamari, mom got the seafood linguine, and I got the salmon. All the seafood was cooked to perfection, and I personally appreciated that the vegetables were cooked just right. Neither crunchy nor mushy. Servers were very attentive and friendly, and the ambience was very calm. We were perfectly content with dinner and made a note to come ready for dessert next time. As we were about to pay the bill, someone at the table mentioned a birthday, and our server insisted we sit a while and proceeded to take back the bill before we could get our card down. He came back with a crème brûlée with the service team by his side, and the dining room proceeded to sing Happy Birthday, which was a nice way to cap off the evening! This is definitely a spot we'll be saving for our next adventure down in Seaside.
