    Great food with large portions

This is a small family run and owned restaurant. The staff is friendly, service is excellent and they are dog friendly! The food is amazing, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The owners Mary and Dom are the BEST!!

In my humble opinion, this is the best breakfast place in Pacific Grove! The spinach quiche is my favorite item along with the hashbrowns. The staff is so nice and helpful and you feel like you're part of the family. There is always a table or two of locals, and you can tell this is a ritual with them from the familiarity and joking with the staff. Don't miss this gem! And did you know that there is also a vacation suite above the restaurant that you can rent? Three bedroom and full kitchen! Lots of street parking, Pro tip: order the sourdough toast and bring a sweater as sometimes it can be cold when the door opens in winter, if you're seated nearby.

We went on a Friday for lunch. We had good service. I ordered the soup and sandwich. I opted for the tuna salad sandwich without bread and the cup of split pea soup. Both were tasty, but a very small Portion for the price! With tip and tax it was over $23 and I was still hungry. My friend had a Reuben sandwich that was tasty and served with a side salad and fries. Her Reuben with a glass of wine cost $47! Easy free street parking is available.

Our meal- Three Cheese Ravioli, Cheese Bread with a House Salad. Delicious!

After a long day exploring 17 Mile Drive and Highway one along Big Sur we wanted a good meal. We drove into quaint downtown Pacific Grove and past the Victorian Corner Restaurant. It looked inviting, so we checked out the menu - with a good variety of choices at reasonable prices - and decided to go in. We were seated promptly and reviewed the specials, the beverage menu, and the dinner menu. I chose a local red blend wine while my wife had a Paso Robles Chardonnay. The server came back after a few minutes, and we placed our order. I ordered the three cheese ravioli with the homemade marinara sauce. We shared an order of the daily special toasted cheese bread and my wife ordered the house salad. I can say the ravioli was delicious. Likely the best I've ever had. Apparently their homemade raviolis with a blend of three cheeses. The texture was just right and often times I find marinara sauce can either be underwhelming or overpowering. It was perfectly balanced. What's the topping of fresh Parmesan and shredded basil. My wife enjoyed her salad with mixed greens, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, and croutons and on the side, blue cheese dressing. Last but not least the cheese bread had four slices thinly sliced sourdough with a perfect blend of butter and melted cheese. Truly delicious! We enjoyed the meal so much we asked to review the breakfast menu with the likelihood that we'll be back in the morning!

We arrive a Sunday morning around 9:00 & got a table right away & not long after, the restaurant was soon full inside. Rhonda kindly took our order & was our server. He had a SF Joes egg dish & I had the blueberry pancakes. The eggs had hamburger & fresh spinach & was served w/country potatoes & toast. The omelette was a hit as was my pancakes! Full of blueberries served w/plenty a f butter & syrup. Service was great! A enjoyable Sunday morning for us! Will return for sure!

Went here for breakfast based on local recommendations. This place has been serving breakfast for 45 years! The waitress was very attentive and on top of things. My mom had a cafe mocha which she said was outstanding. I had a peach mimosa (they had 5 different flavors) i order the Eggs Florentine. (Spinach, Jack Cheese, Hollandaise, and poached egg on English muffin) and my mom had a Denver Omelet and he said it was great but it lacked cheese) i had hash browns which were very good and my mom had a fruit bowl which had a good variety including kiwi, banana, blackberry , apple, pears, grapes etc. Highly recommend!

Both the food and the service were amazing! There were four of us and we shared three dishes family style. The waitress didn't hesitate when we asked for extra plates so we could share. We had the smoked salmon Benedict, the tostada omelette, and a daily special, the chicken fried steak. They were served with hash browns, country potatoes, or, for an $4.95 up charge, fresh fruit. I asked for extra crispy on the hash browns and for the order that was served that way, they were great, but the second order wasn't extra crispy and wasn't as amazing. We got one order with fruit and it was a great mixture of fresh fruit, definitely worth the extra $4.95 for us. Sorry, didn't get a picture of the chicken fried steak with over-easy eggs, extra crispy hash browns, and sourdough toast, but it was extra-delicious! Our waitress checked on us numerous times and refilled our coffee and hot water several times. Very warm and friendly service. A little bit of savings if you pay in cash and they give you both prices on the bill, so you can easily decide. I would definitely recommend Aliotti's Vctorian Corner! Yum!

Impressed with food, service and ambience at this fine Italian restaurant. The food was delicious, the service spot on and I feel the price was a good value for the quantity and quality. I had a dinner which included a variety of fresh sautéed vegetables, and a generous portion of eggplant with red sauce and melted mozzarella. Did I say the portion was generous, it was huge. I wanted to stop and save some for a takeout but it was saw darn good I plowed on. Gorgeous restaurant in a beautiful town. Highly recommend stopping by and stopping in.

We came in as a group of 7, 4 adults and 3 teens and the staff was great, put a table together for us all, and I'm so glad we chose this place over another Italian place near by. The server was super attentive and really nice. The place is adorable, I liked the old Victorian feel about it. I had the lasagna and it was so delicious, even my husband liked it and he doesn't like cheese. My kids said the fettuccine Alfredo with prawns were great. We all ordered dessert and have nothing to complain about. Would definitely come back again.

My husband and I have been bringing our girls here since they were toddlers. It's truly a family restaurant and a community gem. The entire staff treats you like family from the moment you walk in the door. And the food is consistently amazing! The fact that you are just a short walk to the rec trail and lovers point for a nice stroll after your meal is a bonus! If you haven't been here whether you're local or visiting, you must try this amazing restaurant. A few of our favorites are the homemade quiche, eggs Benedict, any of the pasta dishes and of course, the pancakes!

Alliotti's Victorian is a very cute, small restaurant located on the corner of Lighthouse and Fountain Ave. From the moment we walked in, it felt very welcoming, and the host was very sweet. I ordered the grilled cheese with added ham and a side of fries, and it was delicious simple, comforting, and full of flavor. I honestly wish I had taken a picture because the food tasted just as good as it looked. Everything was hot, fresh, and hit the spot. Definitely a charming little place worth stopping by.

The Dooling - perfectly prepared, bacon and eggs. With hash browns and sourdough toast.

Victoria corner is a must for locals and visitors alike. The food is always prepared with care and always hits the right flavor profiles. The service is always friendly, and attentive. And the ambience lends itself to a home comfort feeling. Victoria corner is a gem in the heart of Pacific Grove Ca.

The food was good and the service was good. The price was a little higher than we were expecting. Yelp showed it is a $$ establishment. It's closer to a three. The quality of the food did match the price point. Three entrees one appetizer to share and one desert to share with A coffee and two fountain drinks.

Wanted to start with the Spanish rose bubbly prominently suggested on the menu but was told they were out of it. Instead ordered the pinot noir (there were only three wines available by the glass), which was quite good. Started with smoked trout ceviche over lettuce to be gluten-free or over a tostada. The trout was spicy from minced serrano and tasted better with the lettuce than the tostada. The portion size was a bit small. The entrees included albacore tuna crusted with sesame seeds. It was lightly seared and the interior of the fish was a bit too cool. It came with cauliflower puree and chard. The other was the halibut, which was delicious although too salty, perhaps because of the miso-based sauce it was served in. It came with a couple of small pieces of leeks that were a bit too rich from the butter they were sauteed in. We were the first people of the evening to try the Roquefort blue cheese ice cream that came with crushed candied walnuts and honey. It was a riff on a cheese plate. It was different, and not bad at all; it was creative but I probably wouldn't get it again. The atmosphere has not changed in the past 10 years and it remains a cozy space that is not too loud.

Saw some reviews and photos on Yelp and decided to give it a try. As my reviews tend to be lengthy let me summarize up front and add the details for those more interested. Service was 5 star, Ambience 4.5 star, and for Food I want to go higher but for reasons I will go into I must stay with 4 star. And because I think the food is the most relevant measurement I chose 4 star. The experience overall was great. We reserved indoor as Monterey can get a bit chilly but once on ground and with outdoor fireplaces and heaters it was the better option. And with a 3.5 yo in tow the outdoor really was the better option. It gave her freedom of movement and the ability to be more of a noisy child than the indoor would permit. Our waitress was attentive and great, the seating by the fire was a bit hard but she brought out blankets that could add warmth or in our case cushion to make them less noticeable. We ordered basic pasta for our child and let me just say the portion would have fed two adult men. Nothing amazing but it was palatable and she enjoyed it. We ordered drinks to include one of their specialties and it was enjoyed. And we started off with an order of the oysters. They were fresh, well presented and offered multiple options to flavor the oysters. For main courses I selected the Hen House homemade pasta with mushrooms and saw you could add scallops for $17.00 and it sounded brilliant. The dish was flavorful, creamy and only surprising in that they delivered one stunning scallop on a side dish. Slightly confused I remarked, "ummm is this the $17 scallop". Which in retrospect I would note I really wanted to see the menu again because I sincerely believe they likely advertised it as a singular "Scallop" which leaves only myself to blame. In all honesty the scallop is probably the second best scallop I have had in my life (Libertine Social in Vegas is hands tied the absolutely best to date). But I digress... I enjoyed the dish, mourned the single scallop and cleaned my plate. We also ordered the Focaccia Bread and butter starter. Let me just say that I love bread, probably more than I should and fresh baked focaccia is at the top of my list. I am accustomed to the outside being a bit crispy but the inside being pure pillowy heaven. They appear to cut them in slices and then bake them or toast them slightly before service. Definitely not a fan of toast, or crunchy bread it was not a high point but again well presented and despite my preference I did eat it with my pasta. Lastly my partner had the Wagyu beef, the description sounded great and the presentation was there but I think there are moments that when you read a menu you envision the finished product and let's just say it felt diminished in my minds eye. Flavors aside it was well cooked and the sides tasted fine. I just felt like I heard that grating voice from the 80s or 90's..."where's the beef". Now I say all of that to provide my view on the overall experience but I would say they are definitely worth the experience but go in knowing it will be a bit pricey. And to be fair if it's beef you are looking for I recall seeing a massive 32ounce porterhouse on the menu. But the price matched its size. In the end it was a strong 4 star experience and "scallop" aside if 4.5 was an option I would probably give it. Just not a 5. Hope this helps and please take note of my photos as they convey my write up. To our waitress, you did great!

Unfortunately, we were pretty underwhelmed by this restaurant. It was our 25th anniversary and it…read morewas recommended by the Inn we were staying at. I ordered the broiled oysters with garlic chili oil to start. We also got the Caesar to split. My husband ordered the chicken dish, while I had the crab arancini as my entree. They were busy when we got there, but slowly people started to leave. Our server took awhile to greet us, but we understood. The oysters were so disappointing. The garlic chili oil was drowned out by toasted sesame oil (which I hate) and they were almost inedible. The sesame oil was not listed in the description on the menu, or I would have passed. Hard. Also, whoever shucked the oysters, didn't remove the whole body from the shell ( big no no) so I was fighting with my fork to release them. I worked at an oyster bar for years and shucked my fair share of them. It was hard to cleanse my palate of the sesame oil, because it was so overpowering. The Caesar was fine, nothing to write home about. The crab arancini was the best thing that I had. Really crispy and delicious. My husband was very disappointed with his dish. He is a chef of 30+ years and was excited to try the Demi glacé that was listed on the menu. What came out was chicken broth with so much garlic that it was also overpowering. The menu also said that the carrots and potatoes were roasted, but all of the veg had been boiled. So, everything was the same boiled texture and it was very unpleasant for him. He did let our server know. Our server ( a younger woman - didn't get her name) never asked how the food was. I don't know if she just didn't want to know, or what. She also never refilled my husband's empty water glass and didn't ask if I would like another glass of sparkling wine when she dropped off our entrees, even though my glass was empty, The one nice thing is that they gave us a complimentary coffee/chocolate dessert to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately, by this time, we were ready to go. We will not be returning. Fix your menu and make sure the kitchen is preparing food the way it's described.
