Got seated and had the waitress taking our drink order. drinks came out and we placed our order. It took a short time and our food came out. Ordered: Sweet French toast - 2 whole toast cut into half with fruits and powdered sugar- so good Rock's Omelette- was good Chicken and Waffle- 1 big piece and 3 medium pieces of fried chicken - batter was light and chicken meat was tender top on waffle which is good. For this visit, we brought along a good friend who had never experienced their breakfast before. Right off the bat, his first contact with the young lady taking our order left a massive impression. He actually remarked that she must be the owner because she genuinely seemed to care so much about the customers and the service.As for the food, my friend and my wife both ordered the Huevos Rancheros, while I went with the breakfast burrito. We arrived 11am on a Sunday to a very busy restaurant but got sat immediately, we were quickly greeted by our server and served beverages. It gives off family restaurant vibes in the best way. The menu is short, but I can see now that although a large selection is not offered, all their food is high quality breakfast. Rocky's is a wonderful family-owned café where they truly go out of their way for their customers. My husband and I came in craving fish and chips, and even though it wasn't on the menu, the owner came out and offered to make it just for us -- what a sweetheart! I realized it was where the old Del Monte Café & grille use to be located and had me kind of curious what this new place was all about? Other customers seated 10 minutes after us were waited and served on first before we were. I don't know was that all about but I had also requested a straw for my juice and it was never brought out? Also my coffee was never refilled and my waitress only made minor appearances through out our visit. We did sit outside on the patio area, so I do not know if that was the issue but no because the couple that was served first also sat outside next to us, so go figure? When our food was brought out presentation was fabulous. They do have a few specials that looked very appetizing but I went for the green chilaquiles which was presented very good but lacked the spicy or any flavoring. We ordered Rocky's Skillet. The menu said it has bacon, ham, sausage, and potatoes. But it was mostly potatoes and only itty bitty pieces of meat. It's practically a potato skillet. I liked the sandwich but I thought it would have more taste to it. Maybe more Rocky's sauce would have helped. On the other hand it wasn't messy to eat and if you want some hot sauce they have 5 to choose from. It is a good sandwich. I liked the crispiness of the seasoned fries.
