The barista was very welcoming and she knows her regulars by name which is so cool. The shop is a little hole in the wall with amazing sunlight. A great spot to enjoy your breakfast. We got one sausage and one bacon egg and cheese on English muffins and they make theirs with Swiss cheese. It tasted pretty good. The iced coffee is also great, very smooth flavor and doesn't have that strong aftertaste of coffee beans. Definitely try this place for a quick breakfast! Found this little coffee shop when I had to try a case in Superior Court. It's what every coffee shop should be; clean, good coffee, friendly service, and tasty things to eat. It's right next to a parking garage which is very convenient. I would recommend this to anyone. Keep in mind it only has one table and a few seats along the window. They had some sort of cinnamon oatmeal flat cookie thing that was in wax paper and they were absolutely delicious and went perfect with coffee. read more

Simple, straightforward, friendly little cafe. Hot coffee and tea are self-serve, they make a few flavored lattes and iced coffee. The simple menu includes bagels, muffins, and a breakfast sandwich of egg, cheese, and choice of meat on English muffin or bagel for $3.50. My medium/large iced coffee was $2.75, but most drinks and foods were under $2. A couple of nice seats outside or plenty of tables inside. Most guests seem to be lawyers and clerks of the nearby courthouse. It's no frills- just an efficient and friendly little cafe. One of Lowell's little gems, and owned by a local, too! Try the coconut cold brew or one of Rosie's delicious homemade pastries. When you walk in you can see the coffee bean roaster through a pane of glass, so you know the coffee is fresh! The roasted beans are sold here, too. read more

stopped in for an iced espresso, it was my first time here and i will be back not only for the coffee alone (it was amazing) but also for the owner who was SO sweet and very personable. also grabbed a fig bar and it was delicious, highly recommend. couple spots across the street reserved for parking as well. read more

Stopped here on the way to work, the espresso was surprisingly good, and the toasted sesame bagel was also delicious. The staff welcomed me like an old friend, which is always a nice experience when on business travel. There was sufficient on street parking and a parking garage across the street. My only complaint is the plastic knife I was given to spread the cream cheese wasn't up to the task. However, with patience it did the job. Really a minor inconvenience at most. Others have mentioned the amazing roasted coffee smell, it is true. There seemed to be a variety of brewed coffee available, however, I like to roll dangerous, so I went with plain espresso. I stopped here out of curiosity before my class began, and I was met with an amazing aroma of coffee once I opened that door. I grabbed a cup of dark roast coffee and went to class. As I took my first sip, I immediately thought, "Damn, this coffee is really good." I was extremely thankful to finally find a place that I could grab a good cup of coffee and even a quick breakfast. I love the cheese bagels and the homemade muffins! I had told the woman I thought her coffee was delicious. She told me that all the coffee beans was roasted in the back room. It was a huge machine! Rosie is a sweetie and really gets to know her clients well. The service is friendly and quick with great selection for coffee and tea flavors. The cost is reasonable and it is always a great way to start a long day at work. We've been buying our coffee beans from Peak Coffee Roasters at Rosie's for several years. Quality is great and when we call ahead, she has it ready and waiting to pick up. We usually get several pounds at a time, and we were almost out. Due to our age (70+) and the COVID-19 virus, we got online to see if they could ship us some. Within an hour, Rosie called back and said, "No problem. I'll deliver it". A little while later, the coffee was at our door. Rosie had been in the cafe making sandwiches with her unused ingredients for the homeless shelter! Her kindness and generosity are above and beyond! Thanks so much, Rosie! Love you! read more

Every year I have to come to Lowell for a week long training and actually look forward to it all because of Rosie's! Not only is the coffee fresh but the sandwiches are out of this world. I get their cranberry walnut chicken salad every single day and whatever soup they have. This week I had their Portuguese sausage and kale soup for the first time and was about to snatch the the whole pot to take home. I would totally make the drive if I could every day to grab lunch, it's that good. The two women who work there are also the sweetest humans and very personable. The service is quick and the place is extremely clean! I'm sad that it's my last day of training and will be starting a countdown till the next one so I can get me some Rosie's! read more

I Love the Kenya coffee as well as the Ethiopian. Very clean, cozy, warm and inviting location on the corner of Middlesex and Marston Street downtown Lowell. I do not live in the area and happen to stop into Rosie's Diner this morning when I was early for an appointment in the area. I am so glad I did. The food was great, I had an omelette and it was cooked perfectly, not overdone and dry, and I'm picky! Not only that, every person who works there was great, extremely nice and efficient.
