All range of clients 80year old lady, ladies you'd expect the see, 1 middle aged man getting a pedicure, 1 young couple doing pedicures together and even 1 family of 3 (10year old girl) doing pedicures together. So all ages and genders welcome! Gal who helped me was nice and got my color spot on. I asked for natural with a touch of pink. Would have liked more pink as it's very very subtle but it is exactly what I asked for. Buffed my nails, nail care/clipping/shaping, gel, 2 coats color, 3 top coats + hand lotion. $40. I popped in to this salon after 7pm. They close at 7 but the door was still open. I was greeted by Julie. I asked for wax. She took me right away to the back room. Very clean and tidy. She cleansed my skin with some fragrance I was not familiar. My eyebrows are tattoos and she carefully waxed my brows and upper lip. We laughed as it hurt so good. I went to get my nails done & selected a photo of what I'd like done. Asked if they could do it if not I'd Pick another option. I was told 100% can do it ! I was super happy till I realized that's not the case. My nails were horrible, they looked grown out. Terrible shape. I'd never had a chance to come here before the fire. Just never got around to it. AFTER the fire, they doubled in size, and it's spacious and really sticks out in the new building. So the bestie and I decided we'd had a rough week and needed pedicures. This place is clean and service seems fine. Not overly friendly, but we didn't really mind, because we were busy talking to each other. Price wasn't all that bad either--$55 each for shellac? What I loved were those wicked massage chairs. Damn, those things are powerful! (But what's with the butt probing from beneath? Can someone show me how to turn that OFF?) And you can control them yourself. The foot and leg massage was soooo relaxing! What I didn't like was being told to pick a color, and then the pushy up-sale to pick a shellac in different colors...Because they last much longer. Bestie had picked a soft neutral beige and I had picked a wild metallic turquoise, but our girls insisted we should do shellac. Our chosen polishes weren't available in shellac, so we settled for green. I think I would have been more satisfied with my pedicure, if I hadn't let them push me into a color I wasn't that interested in. I mean, my toes look good, but I'm just not excited by them. Got my eyebrows done too. It was quick, and only ten bucks, but not sure i'd come for another wax. She didn't bother asking me how I'd like them shaped, and what little eyebrow hair I have is VERY short. I didn't noticed until I reapplied my eyebrow make-up. It is much cleaner though. Essentially. I'm feeling a little bit 'Meh' about this place. I'd give it another shot. The price is right, and the location is close to home. I was overcharged for a pedicure just for nail polish was 40 dollars for my granddaughter and 50 dollars for me to put shellac polish over my own nails which was poorly done. I will never go there again. My nails look terrible. My friend thought l did the nails myself she said it is not a POFESSIONAL pedicure. I will have to get the shellac removed. Athough it was a nice salon I felt overcharged for sub-par service. I had a plain manicure while my nail tech wad telling me how "plain polish will not last". I have had gel and shellac in the U.S. where I am from and have been giving my nails ' a breather' from those applications. I had a shellac pedi which was fine. But, I felt everything was rushed. I got paraffin on my hands and feet but the odd thing is this was performed AFTER my polish! Never had it done this way before. Again, felt she wanted to move on to some other client while I sat there for 15 minutes feeling like I had been forgotten. In the end the cost was $87. The next day my 2 fingernails chipped. One star for cleanliness but 4 for the service. My first visit and I was shocked when I sat in my chair waiting for the technician to see nail clippings and dead skin all around our chairs. Had a view of the manicure tables and there was stuff all over the floor there too. GROSS. And sure didn't inspire much faith in the cleanliness and sterility of the tools. I have been there twice now, once for shellac on my toes & fingers and once for a manicure. All of the staff is friendly and talkative, not to mention they do excellent work. I was amazed at how sterile all of the equipment was kept and both times I have been there, staff who aren't tending to clients are cleaning the salon rather than just sitting around and waiting. Even the pedicure basins have disposable liners. I live in the area and will never go to another nail salon! read more

I came in one day as a walk in hoping to get a shellac manicure. I was able to get in quite quickly, which was great. They have a lot of chairs, like a lot. The woman who did my nails was very pleasant. The price was reasonable. My issue is with the manicure itself- they used one of the grinder tools to buff my natural nail which as it turns out is extremely bad for it. I didn't ask her not to, as I had never had it done that way before (I hadn't had shellac too many times before), but the result on my nails was terrible. When I took the nail polish off (with foil and polish remove), the base coat sort of stuck and I couldn't get it off- the only solution was to let the nails grow out. They were really weak after and broke constantly. In going to other salons since I know that method is not preferable, I assume it's just the fastest way. I won't be back even though it's close to home - I don't appreciate going for speed over quality! read more

I have gone to this nail salon quite a few times now and have been more than satisfied with each visit. The salon is nice, big and clean. Each nail technician I have seen has been very polite and talented! I have been to many other nail salons in the city but have never had such good quality service. I get gel polish on my toes and finger nails and have never had my nails chip/break/or peel off like I have at other salons. The technicians always take their time and ensure that it is done right. The last visit I had was amazing! We went in the evening to have a pedicure and a manicure done. We had to wait a little longer as it was busy, but the massage chairs they had us wait in made it better. Even though it they didn't get to us till near closing time they stayed and extra 2 hours after to take their time to make sure our services were perfect. Great place for a quick ped. They have always been able to seat me right away, appointment or not. All the girls I've had work quickly and do a neat and tidy job. They will push shellac, but I always choose OPI regular polish which is long-lasting on the feet anyway. I find the regular peds to be good value, shellac on the toes is not worth the extra $$. Don't expect the pampering and pleasantries from staff you get at a spa, but great place for a refresh and pretty toe maintenance. Also many seats in a row make this a great place to go with friends for side-by-side peds. The reason I don't rate higher is because of my experience getting a shellac manicure. First off, I don't usually get my fingernails done. She didn't really help out by telling me the process/what she was doing and she kept tapping my hands. I told her I don't know what that means. She wanted me to put my fingers under the lamp or switch sides, etc. Lol, maybe just tell me. Using words. You know, from your mouth. Secondly, and my major issue, they must have used something different from OPI shellac as the base, because we had a hell of a time getting it off at another salon that exclusively uses shellac polish. 15 minutes of acetone soaking barely had any impact, and then another 30 minutes of soaking still didn't get it off. (Maybe had I returned to Rose's, they would have buffed it off, but soaking should work no problem.) My nail beds took months to fully recover, so be sure you know what they use for the base and how to remove it. Staff are fine and efficient as I've said, but more pleasant and better customer service would result in a higher rating from me. I will definitely be back for regular peds though. read more

Took my niece to get a French manicure. I explained, as a competitive dancer, her particular class is NOT allowed coloured nails so we asked for a French manicure with shellac. Well the tech kept trying to get her to change to solid colour. Between the 2 of us, we explained 6 times NO, and why not. We eventually just ignored her. I got shellac as well and they came out looking like a 12 year old did them. They're completely warped & misshaped. I've attended this location for years and as of late, they're rude, they do not listen and they rush your nails. I no longer recommend this nail salon. read more

Won't go back here again. Asked for gel nails. Within 1 1/2 weeks, the nails started to lift at the sides, then one popped off. When I went back to the shop to ask why and also to purchase a 'refill' at the same time, I was told that these were not gel nails. They were shellac and that they could not be refilled. I used to go here and I enjoyed it until my experience today. I wanted to try gel so I called to clarify that the $30 price they advertise in their pamphlet included filing and shaping as well. The girl on the phone confirmed that it did. So after my appointment I was shocked when the girl told me it would be $42 with tax. No one was accountable for what they told me, my nail tech said maybe the girl didn't understand my question. They found the girl I spoke to and she denied telling me it was $30. So ultimately they charged me $35 and the nail tech said she now had to pay her boss the $5 difference. Absolutely horrible customer service and no accountability. I am still in shock of the way I was treated at this nail salon. I had the same experience as Anna B, with the nail tech pressuring me to hurry up in choosing a colour, and when she was finished with my nails, there was gel all around the edges, on the skin. I asked her to clean it up and she told me that to fix it, I would need to buy a manicure (!) I left a tip anyway, because I feel that it's respectful. The next day, I came back, as I noticed that she had painted only part of the edges near the tip (gel nails are thick so you have to paint this part as well). She rolled her eyes and told me that the problem was that I hadn't chosen a dark enough colour. I assured her this wasn't the problem and pointed out the spotty discolouration at the edges from a sloppy paint job. She grudgingly completed the job in a rushed, rough fashion. I asked her when she was finished if she thought this looked better, which it obviously did, and she shrugged and said: you should have told me yesterday. As if it's my job to ensure that she, the pro, completes her work. Worst nail place I've ever been to. Run. read more

Very poor job done on my pedicure. I felt like she was racing to see who could finish the fastest. It took a total of 17 minutes. At the end, there was red nail polish mess all over my toes, she didn't file or shape the nail at all, and the callus removal was a joke. I love coming here the girls are very friendly and respectful. I tell all my friends and family to come here. I find if you don't want to pick your own and you give them some guidelines on your colour tastes they do a good job in picking a selection of colours for your to choose from. They are very accommodating with last minute appointments and staying late for the customer. The reason they may "pull" or hands while doing their job is to make it a little easier for them to do a good job without hurting the customer. I only go to the original location at 15614 95 Ave not the south side location which has a different owner but goes by the same name.
