They have the worst Custimer service especially toward coloured customers. the technician are poorly trained and dont do a good job.

This was only my second visit to this salon since moving to the Summerside area of Edmonton, & everyone's always so polite! Today, I got my nails done at 2PM- I can't remember the ladies name and I wish I had asked so I can give credit. Because she did amazing. I wanted pink and glittery nails with a spider for nail art and she gave me exactly that. With Halloween coming up, I wanted to be festive and my nails are a huge part of my appearance when it comes to Halloween. Thank you very much for giving me what I asked for. I'm new to Edmonton and looking to find a good nail salon for a pedicure. Binhs isn't it. The place looks nice amd staff seemed friendly but my toe is now infected thanks to the guy who did my pedicure. Holy freaking crap! I don't know what he was doing but he was digging and poking the hell out of my big toes. He said something when I squeaked Ouch and pulled my foot away. Two days later and my toes still hurt and one is infected. The dude also wasn't going to use the blade thingy to remove my callouses until I asked him to. I've never had to ask for that. He didn't bother cutting or filing my nails. Barely buffed them. Finally he rushed through painting my nails. Seemed he wanted to get to the next customer. Would I go back? NO. read more

Awesome service! The lady who did my nails, took her time. Took of all my cuticles which I had a lot haha. She massaged my hard, got me to wash my hands twice and put lotion on them at the end. Hardly any nail salons do the above anymore. Found my place. read more

My wife and I came in to both get a pedicure. She loved this place. It was always her #1 choice. I was paired with an older lady and my wife was paired with someone younger, with orange/yellow hair (not blond). Half way through I noticed my wife getting upset. She has been going to this salon for 3yrs ever since we moved to Summerside. Before sitting in the massage chair my wife specifically pointed out the areas with tough, brittle skin she would like to remove. Everything was going fine, the normal routine. Both employees who were working on my wife and I were talking up a storm the entire time, which is fine, no big deal. After the employee who is working on my wife used the yellow pumice (has NOT used the blade yet) my wife noticed that the patches of hard skin she pointed out earlier were still there so she asked the employee to take off just a little more. To our absolute surprise, the employee took the tool with the blade and went to town on my wife's feet. She was SUPER aggressive, fast and sometimes not even looking at which area she was targeting. To make things worse, after that ordeal the employee said to my wife "If your feet hurts after when you walk dont blame me." My wife asked her to repeat herself just incase we heard wrong...the employee gladly repeated herself using those same words in a VERY condescending, aggressive tone. Almost as if she was angry my wife interrupted her conversation with her coworker. My wife asked her to please find another employee to help finish the remainder of her pedicure and the employee got upset, stormed off to the front, then the back, raging about how demanding my wife was in Vietnamese. Honestly, my wife was quiet the entire time except for a phone conversation she had. Best part? My wife is Vietnamese and understood the whole thing, all the nasty stuff the employee said about her, and complained to the manager. 1) You do NOT use a blade in such an aggressive, careless, and RECKLESS manner. It's not safe and cuts could have been made. 2) When a customer has a specific request at the beginning of the appt and it was not done at all, and politely asked for a bit more to be done...why would that be unreasonable? 3) For ANY business, employees should NEVER storm off and start saying nasty things about the customer, very loudly...regardless of the language...and you NEVER talk to your customer in such an aggressive tone...especially a customer that has been coming to the salon for 3years! 4) The manager came...seeing how upset my wife was with tears on her eyes ... tried to defend her employee...my wife tried to explain the situation to her the best she can while crying. At that moment my wife didnt even finish her service and decided she wanted to leave. No hot stone, no massage, no polish....what happens next? 5) They STILL charged full price!!!! Well needless to say...my wife's 3yr streak with this place is now broken. Its a shame, she really liked this salon and has recommended it to countless girlfriends. We, and our friends, are never coming back after such RECKLESS and condescending service. Note: some employees are actually really nice and they do a good job. The employee (older ladt) who worked my feet came and apologized to us many times in regards to her coworkers behaviour but unfortunately the damage has been done. Period. read more

Just got a full set of gel nails for myself and my daughter at the Parsons/Ellerslie location The price listed in $45 for a full set of gel nails - absolutely nothing on the sign about colour being $10 extra. When I paid they charged me $115.50 for the two sets and when I asked about the price listed the gentleman sitting in the back doing someone else's set of nails commented loudly that the price is $45 for a full set plus $10 each for colour...they might want to post that because I don't know of anyone who doesn't get colour with their gel nails?! The past two times I've come in for Shellac polish it lifted in less than a week (5 days this last time). Unfortunately, the quality is just not there anymore. Not sure if they are rushed or not letting it cure properly. I don't know but I can no longer recommend this location. read more

From reading Yelp it seems most people had a great experience at this place, I wish I could say the same. I will say it's clean and we were taken at our appointment time and didn't have to wait. Sadly that's where the good experience ends for me (my friend had someone different and I feel she would have a different review). I picked my colour and was instructed to sit with my feet in the water for my pedicure. The process was fine but when the colour was applied it didn't look right, there was places on my toes where it looked like less polish had been applied. I didn't say a word but another lady came by and commented to I'm guessing the owner and she started fixing it right away. The first girl comes back and puts my sandals on. I go over to wait for my friend who is getting a manicure and she asks me if I got a design as I was considering it. I say something like she never asked and just walked away so the owner again says something and my girl comes back to ask me about a design. Only when I say yes I would like one she throws her hands up and hands me a sample of designs - sorry for inconveniencing you at work? I let it go. She does a design and thankfully while I'm waiting for that to dry my friend notices my polish looks funny and says something. They fix it with attitude. Come on do good work and you won't have to keep fixing it. I was calm the whole time as was my friend when she asked and felt they were very unprofessional. Now here is what bothers me the most. They did my design, a star. I was happy with it and said so. Except the girl tells me with a little sparkle it will be prettier. I say no and I like it how it is. A guy who works there comes by and says the same and again I say no I like it this way. The girl starts doing her suggestion! I was so furious and at this point I was done with them and didn't mention it. I was too in awe I guess. I go to pay and they kindly let me know it's gonna be more since I'm using debit instead of cash. Wait what? You wasted more of my time and I'm paying more now cause I am using debit? In a small strip mall like are off Parsons Rodman and Elerslie is the location I like the most. Been here more than a few times- with or without an appointment and staff are friendly and accommodating. I have been to quite a few places but for me - this is the one. They are busy but still take their time with each customer and are meticulous. I usually try to go to Leo who has been there for more than 10 years - but I have had no issues with anyone else either. If you like one person and want to keep consistency- I'd book them in advance. There's no time I have found which is not busy so expect to wait if you don't have an appoint. If your waiting and wish to come back there's fast food and coffee in the same complex and your 5 min away from South Common. I have schellac and it has lasted me for some time - reasonable priced they offer other services like waxing. There's a small sitting area in the front and one communal bathroom in the back. Fairly clean. They don't accept credit so make sure you either have cash or debit on hand. They do have an atm machine inside their salon just in case you forget. If you do have an issue with your nails - I have seen them try to accommodate corrections. They have tv screens everywhere but they do chat and are very friendly. My daughter and I went for a manicure and pedicure yesterday. We arrived not long after opening without appointments and they took us right away. I told them it was her 10th birthday and they made her feel special and added some hand painted designs to her nails. The store was clean and the staff were very friendly and professional. I DO NOT recommend this place!!! I walked in and got a pedicure with shellac and regular polish on my fingernails. First off when I called and asked how much it was for exactly what I got they said $45. Then she rushed through my regular polish for my finger nails. Didn't even buff my nails, you can see the bumps from the last shellac set. Pedicure was good, she took her time maybe because it cost more money... who knows. Went to the til and it was $65, which whatever who cares. TWO DAYS LATER my polish started chipping badly. I called and they said they can't do anything about it because it's regular polish and that's what happens. Okay I get it regular polish doesn't last but it does last more than 2 days!!!!!!! I have been to many salons in and around the Edmonton area and every time I have said 'NO DRUMMEL ON NAILS' they all seem to ignore and start right away - because it is the quickest way to take shellac polish off. I decided to stop in to this location and give them try. Right away I could see a huge difference....everyone was extremely friendly, English being spoke in all directions. Of course because of the DRUMMEL on nails, my nails overall are extremely thin so the night before I decided to soak off myself...when speaking with Dominque (I believe that who I dealt with :)) she said that she never uses the DRUMMEL and soaking is the only way to ensure that your nail beds are in tact.... Overall, the manicure was great...unfortunately I choose a 'mood' changing colour because I really liked the colour when you hands are cold (which mine are always cold) however all day my hands have been warm and I do not care for the coral colour so will be going back to get a colour change and will experience what they do to remove...will comment after experience... read more

I find that it is a hit or miss with this salon. I have gone in the past and gotten pedicures and actual gel nails, and the staff has done a great job. However, when I came in today it was the quite opposite of an experience. I walked in and asked if they had enough time to do a full set of Gel nails, but if not it wasn't a big deal because I didn't make an appointment. One staff quickly sat me to which I asked to get medium sized nails. She then asked which shape and I replied I like the Ballerina/coffin. She then proceeded to do my nails and then she started putting powdered Acrylic ( they sneakily put it as Powdered Gel on their price board Full set for $45) So I thought okay since she's doing this I'm not going to be paying as much as real Gel which is labeled as $55. TO MY SURPRISE at the end when I go up to pay they charged me $63. I asked why it was so much when the board stated $45? They said that since I got color and because I wanted the ballerina shape they charged me $20 dollars more. I paid the $63 but was not happy. It leaves me to believe that this salon is charging people for real gel and giving people Acrylic instead, and not making their clients aware of any extra costs when doing thir nails. I stopped in at this location after work for a pedicure and eyebrow waxing. Even without an appointment they were able to quickly accommodate my needs. I was lucky enough to have Anna as my tech and she was AMAZING! So sweet and friendly, made quiet conversation while she worked and asked me how I was enjoying it several times. She did an amazing job on my toes and spent so much time pampering my feet and legs, not only a massage but also a hot stone rub and a hot towel at the end! They also give out loyalty cards for every time you spend over $40 you get a stamp and after 8 stamps you get $35 off the 9th treatment which is amazing! Thank you and I will be back! read more

Made an appointment for 1pm for regular pedicure and shellac manicure. Didn't get in till about quarter after. After the pedicure, a girl comes in wanting a polish change. She is waiting a whole 5 min (after they said they would get her in), then starts whining on how she has been waiting and has to get home to her kids! There was some re-arranging so this pudgy little thing could get her service done (later I find out she's a "regular"). In the mean time, my pedicure is done and I'm waiting AGAIN to get my manicure. Finally after 3 hours I'm done. The finished product was ok. Not bad, not great just ok. I'm a patient person, but what gets me is I HAD an appointment and felt it was set aside for walks in who's time was apparently more important than mine. read more

I normally really enjoy Binh..... I've never had a bad set but this review is for their pricing. I don't get anything over the top but the pricing for my gel fills are always different. The board says $45 for a UV gel fill which is pretty on par with the competition. But when I got up to the front desk today I was told $60. $50 for the fill (?) and TEN dollars for sparkles! Seriously? I find that they don't discuss extra pricing at the desk (the board certainly doesn't say $10 for sparkles). On top of that I found out near the end of my fill that the nice young man doing my set has only been going doing nails for one month. Total. Just learned around the shop. No schooling or even proper courses, no education on nail funguses or diseases, probably no knowledge of the extensive sanitary procedures either. After clipping my cuticles and a hangnail that bled this morning he put them right back in the drawer (after he took his eyes away from the football game that is.) like I said, I've always really loved the quality of the sets I've gotten but sometimes they're much more than other times. A recommendation by my sister-in-law convinced me to go to this place to get my nails done. I didn't have a very good experience with a place I had gone to previously, but I thought I would give this place a try. I am super happy with the way my nails turned out. I got the previous shellac and color removed, got a manicure, and got color change gel put on top. The salon itself seems quite trendy, and really cool decor. It looks like they would be great for pedicures as well. They have tons of product, and it seems like it's the good high-end stuff that you're looking for for decent nails. It wasn't overly busy, but I had called ahead just to make sure I could get fitted at the last minute. My nail tech was nice, quite quiet but still asked me questions and made sure that I was having a good experience. My nails turned out perfectly, and I was very pleased with the whole experience. And, to top it off, it was a decent price. For the shellac removal, a manicure, and the gel nails it only cost me $35 plus GST. I will definitely come back to this place. Even the menu board of all the different treatments that they offered, were decently priced. The only negative comment that I have about today was that I heard they had a special punchcard for every time you come in and you get a discount after 10 treatments. I was not offered this, but it doesn't matter. I will still come back to this place to get my nails done and will be bringing people with me. read more

I am so glad I spent a little extra time looking for this place. She does an excellent job on my acrylic fill. I watched the staff diligently cleaning while no customers were present. They even wipe the chairs with cleaning solution and a cloth. This was by far the cleanest nail salon I have been to. The prices were very good. She listened to me and worked hard. Pretty average visit, asked for gel nails, showed a picture of how I wanted them to look. The girl about 5 minutes in just up and leaves me sitting there. A gentlemen came a few minutes later to finish off, didn't say a word to me. When he was painting my nails I said I didn't really like the shade chosen for my skin tone and maybe we could try something else. He ignored me kept going. My nail tech took her time to do my deluxe pedicure, with a scrub and massage (with hot stones) on my legs and feet, followed by a gel shellac polish. So I had a nail lady but she moved out of the province. So I have been searching for a new person for about 6 months now. Went to see Gina last night and wow. She was super polite and listened to what I had to say about how I wanted my nails done. I had a couple of busted nails and the rest were all my natural nail. Instead of cutting all my nails off and just gluing tip on she took the time to only put tips on the three nails that were broken and shape them to look like the rest of my natural nails. She explained the difference of liquid gel to powder. I've only every had liquid uv gel nails but it was nice that she cared enough to educate me on the difference. Took my shape away and left them looking like caterpillars. I went back in to get them fixed with a new lady who was just as useless.
