Honestly after all the bad reviews the first time like oh boy, but I've been here twice once for a polish change only on my hands, and then again for a basic pedicure. I have had good experiences both times, but did hear another employee bad mouthing her client to the lady attending my feet. I would give zeros stars if I could. I went in today for a manicure, I left with bloody cuticles. She kept trying to file down my natural nail with the drummel. I had to tell her to stop, she then blamed me and said I was too sensitive. I picked a nice pink, went on terrible and bumpy. She was going to let me leave with it looking like that but I said no and wanted a different colour. She proceeded to file the colour off having my cuticles bleed again. i went in for a full set, I made an appointment for 5pm and wasn't seen by anyone until 5:30. during the set she asked if I like the shape and I said "no, they are shaped weird, they need more structure" so she proceeds to just file away at the ends of one of the tips and then just start painting on them. i showed her a reference photo and she still didn't do what i wanted. $90 later i left with nails pointing upwards, no structure, horribly shaped (asked for square and got some random shape instead. never again read more

The place is clean. The employees are polite. The prices are fair. Nothing seems sketchy or secret. It doesn't seem like they offer or do much more than solid colours but the products nice enough. Do recommend out of the other salons on Ellerslie road. read more

I got my nails done by ivy, and I kinda feel bad for writing this review, but I am not happy with my nails at all. I told her at the beginning that I like them thin, and they look so fat and thick. This place is total garbage. First of all these oriental people can't even speak English which makes it hard to understand what they're saying or explaining anything to them. I went here for a pedicure and my nail polish chipped off after a week! Not my usual experience . So I went back to complain to them about this matter and the nail techs working there were convincing me to get gel or a new pedicure again that I would be paying FULLY for. I asked to speak to a manager and these workers didn't even know their managers name! Talk about useless people or what! So now I'm left irritated and needing to go into a different place for a pedicure and brand new polish that will actually last for some sort of time! These people use old polishes or something. I had a broken finger and a bruised/purple nail and I asked for a manicure.... after I showed her my nail all her coworkers started to look at it and they all started laughing and talking in their language. Went in with my friend on Saturday and had to go back once I got home and settled in...i looked down at my nails and the shellac was already chipping...not only that but I went in with long nails and asked for a shellac with gel overlay...i knew my nails were thin and they were lifting which is why I went in to have them done...the tech asked if I wanted what I came in off...i said yes(I had a french) so she chopped my nails down to nubs...i asked her what she was doing she said you want them off...she was hacking so fast that there was no time to stop her...she was on a mission. I was upset...nails and product flying ever(including my eyes) my friend also had her nails done...i started a good 15 minutes after her and I had to wait on her nails to be finished cause mine were rushed and hers are not even straight!...i asked for a discount but they said no next time you come back we will give you $10 off...avoid this place. read more

The place seems ok, the staff is polite but there is a bit of a scam there, they pretend that they do not speak English to rip you off . I arrived there and said I want a mani & pedi , I saw on their list and it would cost $50 , when the woman started age should me some colorful creams and asked me if I wanted, oh well I had pedi before and they always put cream, so I said yes. The woman did my pedi and applied a cream , and some hot stones that hurt the bones on my foot and was not even comfortable, then she finished the mani and pedi and when I went to pay she charged me almost $70 , why ????? A complete scam , she asked if I wanted the cream and she said because I said yes , she did a "delux" pedi , wow $20 for a cream and some hot stones ??? I don't want that , I just want my nails clean , the cuticles taken off and the foot smooth , those were not so good and I can do much better at hone , myself !!! I work my a*** off to make $70 , total rip off and they still want tips !!!!! Also when I complained they started all speaking on their language and God knows what names she was cursing me !!! This nail salon is by far the worst I've ever been to, Ruby did my nails and they look awful, they are practically at a 90 degree angle from my fingers and there is nail polish all over my hands. She went way too fast and globbed the product on. When I complained she blamed it on me and obviously didn't care, and on the price list it says what I got is $45, but she charged me $63 because I got a colour on them, I'm sorry but what else was I supposed to do just get acrylic and nothing else??? It's like a child did My nails. My nails look CHEAP and TASTELESS, and I feel ripped off and disrespected. ... I normally see Linsey here - she is absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, last minute i needed my nails done. I went and Linsey was not working so a gentleman named Hugh did my nails. Long story short when I left I realized there was no top coat on my nails - just the shellac. So now I have sticky nails. By this time I had picked up my 2.5 year old and was hesitant to head back to the salon for fear of him tearing the whole place apart. Instead I called the next morning and discussed with the lady and she assured me come back in this afternoon and they will fix it. By the time I arrived there are black fuzzies in my nails because of the stickiness of the shellac. They come over and look at my nails and they try to say that yes there is a topcoat it's just not dry. PS I actually went to school to do nails so I know what I'm talking about. Anyways they proceed from there to say ok come sit down I'll do a topcoat for you. .. well no you're not just doing a topcoat you need to redo the colour and then add a topcoat. The colour has fuzzies in it now. I mean the shape left nothing to be desired either but I could live with that. Anyways they tried to let the same person that did them first redo them and I absolutely wasn't having it. I didn't like the first ones and I can guarantee I wouldn't like the second ones. I ended up walking out and going to PL nails. The people at PL couldn't even believe the hack job that had been done on my nails. They reshaped them, added a new colour, AND A TOPCOAT. This is not the first time my nails have been crap from here. I found a gem in Linsey, but unfortunately it's a bit on the risky side to just walk in there and get whoever. If you're thinking of getting your nails done PL nails is only a 10 min drive. See Annie - she even will give you a back and shoulder massage after she finishes your nails. read more

The people here don't listen, they just do what they think is best. Example, I went for a manicure, with nice long natural nails. I said I didn't want any length taken off and the guy doing them cut my nails right off, he thought he didn't have to remove all my nail polish, never cleaned underneath the nails, and no massage. Terrible service! Had appointments for a gel fill and a full set. My friend had to wait 30 min longer than me as they didn't book us in properly and we had to sit on opposite sides of the salon. Staff kept stopping work on my fill to run the till or check on other staff. Then had to completely stop working on mine as they didn't book another customer in correctly, so I was left sitting there with my nails half filed and jagged. Then she used "gel powder" which is acrylic powder and when stated I wanted gel; she completely ignored me, until I said I'm not paying for these. I decided to try this place out since its conveniently located close to my house. My pedicure was fine, however the lady who did my french made the white tip WAY too thick for my liking. I did inform her of this and she ignored me. During my manicure, she cut my skin while tending to my cuticles. I informed her during the incident, and she ignored me while continuing to talk to her coworker. My finger then proceeded to bleed (it bled for a good hour). When she saw it bleeding she claimed it wasn't a big deal. I know it happens sometimes, however it could have been prevented if she listened to me while trying to let her know instead of rudely ignoring me. read more

Some nail techs are talented. These guys are mediocre at best. At worse, you leave with lumpy nails and bleeding cuticles. I have gone there twice now for fills - they charged me full price for a fresh set of nails. I will never go back. This is my second time getting a pedicure at at this salon. I chose this place based on the good price. The first time was great no issues but this second time I left unimpressed, angry and a little worried. I asked for a simple pedicure and for some reason it took an extremely long time. Normally I would be ok with this if I had good results but I probably received the worst pedicure ever. I am almost confident they let someone who had never done a pedicure before use me as their Guinea Pig. Firstly he cut my nails way too short, one of them even started bleeding. He didn't acknowledge this at all and instead continued to trim it and file it even shorter! Meanwhile I'm bleeding everywhere... Secondly he seemed awkward and was very inconsistent with how he tended to the rest of my nails. The whole time all I worried about was both infection and ingrown toenails. Lastly my feet don't feel any different then before I went in there. Other then a new color on my toes, my feet are still rough and do not feel good at all. I did not leave there feeling relaxed and refreshed. I left feeling angry and very disappointed. I will NEVER go back there again. I don't believe he was well trained at all and that is a scary thought. I will be more careful with where I get my aesthetics done from now on. Hopefully I don't end up with an infection!! read more
