I have tried many nail salons. I think this may be my favourite. It was a bit hard to make an appointment as they are very busy but eventually I got through. We got 2 pedicures with the shellac polish. For the chrome it's $10 more. The attentiveness of both of our nail techs was amazing or should I say awesome. They took their time and cared about everything they did on both of our feet. Awesome nail technicians, awesome service and awesome final product. We are both very happy with the quality of the work. I drove 20 minutes out of my way because it had 5 stars, took walk-ins, was open till 7:30 and was marked as $. I got there at 4 and asked for a pedicure and a gel fill. They told me they could only do a pedicure. Then the said it would be 5 dollars extra to basically peel the old gel from my toenails. The water was coolish and didn't reach my ankles. When she "massaged" my calf's by hitting the fronts of them she took no notice nor care of the 3x4 inch black and blue bruise that was on the front of my leg. Ouch. My toes were not dry when they hurried me out just after 5 so the three of them had time for supper. My one toe smudged so she reluctantly painted a couple more coats on and hurried me to the cash for $42 plus the tip I gave that I now question. I would have been okay if the asked if I could come back after their supper or if they had even done a half decent job. read more

I brought my momma here last week for a birthday pedicure treat. What led me to his location was the fabulous review by fellow Yelper Dana C. I called day of and managed to get an afternoon booking with Peter and his mother, Le. Like the dork that I am, I forgot to change out of my skinny pants jeans and couldn't pull my pant cuff more than about 4" past my ankle. But Peter didn't let this phase him and did an excellent job on removing the rough spots on my feet. I also dropped the display ring of nail polish colours in the water (like it was my first pedicure ever, what was wrong with me that day?). Peter quickly swooped it up from the water, cleaned it off, and handed it back to me without making me feel awkward. Actually, the quality of pedicure here was most definitely in my top 5 ever. I think I paid $45 because I got gel polish but the quality overall was hands down better than $80-$100 services I've had elsewhere (and I look forward to not wearing skinny jeans next time, lol). Most importantly, my mother was happy with her pedicure which is no easy feat I assure you. My mom is super picky about polish application. Additionally, she is diabetic and has to be really careful with her feet and ensure that her cuticles aren't cut or that people don't accidentally cut/scrape her feet with the exfoliation process/shavers. Le was fabulous with my Mom and checked in throughout the service. We will most definitely be coming back. AND they offer kids pedicures/manicures at a discounted rate here for 12 and under. Awesome nails definitely lives up to its name... my nails look absolutely awesome. Ava is so lovely. She took her time, made sure the shape was perfect, made sure there were no snaggy bits that would be uncomfortable for me later... (I often find myself filing my nails after... not today!) The Salon was clean... all precautions in place to ensure safety during covid. Very pleased and I will absolutely come back. Upgrading to 5 stars because the service absolutely cannot be beat. I've referred lots of people here over the last couple of years and they are always very happy with their experience. The owner will greet you by name when you walk in, even if you haven't been there for a long time and he will remember the things you told him on your last visit. The very first time I went in, I had my mom with him, and now every time I go in, he asks me how my mom is doing. They do phenomenal work and I love showing my nails off after I get them done. read more

Went in for full set of acrylics and got some full nails glued on. No sculpting or overlay, no filing. Had some gel polish French tips. paid $75. Nails started falling off within 3 days. Paid $75 for flue on nails. Next time I'll glue my own fake nails on for $10 from Walmart. read more

My daughter and I came on a whim for pedicures... the staff was friendly and efficient!, and we now have fancy feet to start Spring Break!!

This salon is well-named -- it truly is awesome. I felt like I had found my Holy Grail of pedicures and have never had such happy feet. The first thing I noticed was that the water bowls had a new liner applied, which is such an important hygiene feature. Then, each employee wore a face mask while working, and the tools were brought fresh. Hooray for a place that cares!! The pedicure experience itself was lovely. My nails were well-trimmed, the colour was impeccably applied, including base and top coat (which I've had salons skimp on), and OH MY GOODNESS warm lotion and hot towel for the leg/foot massage. Heaven!! The salon is owned by a young man and staffed with his mother Le (queen of pedicures!!), brother Peter and sister, plus two other ladies were there. I felt like they all took pride in their work and I will definitely be back - no need to continue my search for a place that is clean, careful, and pleasing results. Awesome, indeed! read more

From the reviews I was expecting something like no other. To be honest this was no different than any other basic nail salon I've been too. The only cool incentive was the stamp card you got where you get $20 off your service after 10 visits. The positives were: the different fun colours, quick service, clean facility, affordable price, and friendly staff. The not so great part is that my nail tech didn't do the best job. Parts of my nails weren't fully covered in polish and the "massage" she gave me was more of a gentle caress. I had an older woman who didn't speak English and had to rely on the others to translate. I couldn't really communicate much of what I wanted. In the end I paid $50 for a pedicure with two designs on the big toe plus tip. $50 is the same amount I pay for pedicures at Ahava Day spa minus the tip and that is for a luxurious experience. If you're needing to get your toes done in a pinch and don't have a lot of money to spend then there is nothing wrong with this place. read more

I love this place and it is the only nail place I go to. They have always given me exceptional service and are very friendly. I suffered from a serious iron deficiencies for months which led to my nails not growing, and becoming completely brittle in the centers. I had to go for a work function and then a special V-day trip to my boyfriend who lives in Arizona. I didn't think they would be able to do anything with my nails, but the technician spent almost 2 hours rebuilding essentially a nail bed in order to put functional nail tips on, and they looked amazing at the end. You would never know that I had been struggling. I then had an amazing pedicure and when I left, I felt and looked like a million dollars. I am going back as I am going on another trip & vacation and this time I have nails and I know they will be amazing :) read more

We arrived at 12:15 as there hours on Yelp and Google say they open at 12:00. We entered and sat down for about 5 minutes, began picking a colour and one the three employees asked what we needed. Nail places are a dime a dozen in some spots, but I'd head into this one again! Awesome Nails just opened in St Albert last December. I phoned in on Sunday asking if they took walk ins, which they totally do and found myself promptly seated when I walked through the door at 2pm. The salon itself is pretty big and very clean. There are half a dozen foot bath chairs for pedis and a similar amount of manicure stations. They are also equipped with everything you'd need to get whatever body part waxed. I needed a manicure in a bad way. My nails haven't seen a salon since, well longer than I'd care to admit. My mani included the usual nail clean and care, some pretty pink gel nail polish and a nice little hand and arm massage at the end. I was in and out in just over 30 minutes and all for under $35. If I find myself in St Albert needing a manicure again, I'd totally come back! read more

This salon was the worst experience in my life I was treated so poorly I would love for the owner to contact me . I called this salon at 630 pm and asked if they could remove my acrylic set and put a new one on the guy said yes come at 7. I arrived started to pick out my color I sat for 25 30 min then I told the guy again what I wanted . Then a lady walked in I explained to her 4 times what I wanted she said to me very snotty ur nails will take 30 min to soak off which I know is not true and then told me that I should have called ahead and asked which again I did I have never in my life dealt with such a disrespectful person in my life . Love this place! I am a native-Edmontonian who is now living in Los Angeles and was in town for Christmas. Was recommended to Awesome Nails by my best friend who is a regular (and they happily remembered who she was when I mentioned her). Went in to get my NYE nails done. Was sat right away, service was friendly, loved the colour selection for shellac nails, and I was happy to hang out with the staff. All the other customers that came in were made to be super comfortable by the staff and the staff members seemed to love to chat with everyone and try to get to know them better. So happy with this salon! This was my first time here. I showed the staff a picture on my phone and Vinh agreed to give it a try. My nails were thin and damaged from previous nails, but these guys were very gentle and precise. Vinh always stopped to ask if I liked the shape, color etc. The salon was very clean, all the staff were welcoming and friendly. They use liners in the pedicure tubs. Vinh is so artistic! I love the Vegas skyline he created. When I got up to pay, he picked up my coat and held it for me, while I put it on. What a gentleman! Great service and very reasonable prices! This place is by far the best nail salon I have ever been to. Service is exceptional and I've never been happier with my nails. Vinh, the salon's owner, is very meticulous and that's what I love about his work. He's very precise in every step of the process ensuring every nail is perfect (& they are!) This does mean that he takes a little longer with them but I would much rather have high quality nails than a quick but substandard job. I usually get gel nails done and they've never chipped or broken off - my nails feel so durable that even when they've grown out a lot I'm not scared that they'll break. The quality of the service is so good that it makes driving out to St. Albert so worth it (I live in Edmonton). I would highly recommend this place to anyone with zero hesitation. read more

Fabulous salon! The young man who owns this nail salon certainly knows what the customer wants. His salon is clean, and well run with friendly staff. I've only been here twice but this is the best service I've ever had. There is a lady there with long hair (ponytail) who shaves skin off heels like nobody's business. Just like peeling a potato lol! Skin was flying everywhere -- and my heels were like brand new. Also got some art painted on two toes -- not only was it gorgeous, it was so reasonably priced. $10 for the art and $35 for the pedi. The name really does say it all, this place is awesome. They take the time to do an incredible job every time I go and make sure you are 100% happy before you leave. With a Manicure and pedicure they give you a nice massage and as an added bonus a hot towel on your legs and arms. They remember every colour I have ever tried and the ones my friend and sister get.
