When they did finally open up they had a huge argument with each other (in Chinese I am assuming). So it was majorly awkward to be standing there..no one took my coat, no one even greeted me, they just let me in and started yelling at each other in a language I couldn't understand. They refused to get the drill out to remove the old gel (from an old set of gel nails)..I asked if she would take off this little wee bit of gel left over and all she would say was "No, but I'd have to get the drill out"..I mean jeez its a nail salon!! I noticed my nail polish selection was based on the amount available in the bottles versus my initial color preferences. Next to the till, there were plenty of brand new nail polish bottles to buy. However, I don't usually buy nail polish bottles at the salon. The lady who did my pedicure was nice. The pedicure tools looked like they were sanitized and clean. The manicure and pedicure set up looked pretty average. However, my main concern and turnoff here was an obvious breach in cleanliness that I witnessed. The lady who did my pedicure put on latex gloves prior to handling my feet. While my toenails were drying she was helping another customer pay at the till. I was grossed out by the fact she was still using the gloves she wore helping me! She handled the debit/credit machine while wearing the gloves. I know those machines aren't clean as a baseline but still! I think some people feel a false sense of cleanliness when they wear gloves. What other breaches in sanitation are happening here? You need to wash your hands with soap and water before and after using gloves! Hand hygiene is especially important in a place where you're handling a large number of hands and feet. People don't want to get infections! We need reassurance that we're in a clean environment. I won't be back here and I don't recommend it.

I went here to have my Shellac removed off my toes and get a pedicure. The girl did my toes was…read morenice enough..but when she was using the drill to remove the shellac it was very painful. She kept getting the skin around my toes rather then just the nail itself. I kept flinching in pain and saying that it was painful, "could she be careful not to get the drill on my skin"..etc..but ya she kept on doing it. Wasn't fun..lemme tell ya.. That all being said..the pedicure was good. My toes look very cute, and I like the outcome..just not crazy about what happened before the cute feet!
