I had my nails done here three weeks ago and I don't have a single chip - amazing! Staff was very friendly; overall great experience.

I have been coming her for years and can't believe I have never made a review. I love this place...well I love my nail tech Tara who works here. Tara is absolutely and unbelievably amazing. There is nothing this woman can't do when it comes to nails. I even had her do a set of Beauty and Beast nails before the opening day of the movie. The salon does real gel nails not the kind where they tell you it's gel but really it's acrylic with gel overlay but they still charge you full price for gel. Ya this salon is honest and very clean, easy to get to and they have a lot of variety (again nothing they can't do, they always accept a challenge). They even have tanning if you are interested. Will be coming her for years to come. read more

Went for a pedicure at Modern Touch. Salon is clean and has a fun, relaxing environment. Wish I would have caught the name of the technician that was assigned to me...she was hilarious! She also gave a fabulous foot and leg massage! Decided on a mauve with some sparkle. I let the girl decide how she wanted to incorporate the glitter. She did a good job! Toes look pretty and my feet feel loved. read more

I came here for the first time to get a gel fill. I was so happy that the tech didn't have to take off all the original gel and start from scratch. She had my nails reshaped and painted within an hour. Such a quick and easy service. I've had them done for over 1 week now and they are still perfect, I've booked my next appointment read more

Modern Touch Nail Salon - 9 days after they got done and they are still perfect! - Nail Salons Near Me - Edmonton, Alberta

This is my go-to spot for pedicures. It's usually pretty easy to get in, although I don't attempt to walk in. Appointments are the way to go. These ladies do a really lovely job, and the massage chairs are fantastic. They have a pretty extensive colour palette to choose from, and I find the prices perfectly reasonable. the girls are also quite friendly. The only thing I might suggest for them to work on is the atmosphere. The lighting is a little harsh, but that's just me being picky. The one unpleasant visit I had is when one of their staff members came in and brought a very, very, very sick child who was wandering around playing with things. I adore kids, but I don't fancy getting the flu, so it would have been nice if that little one hadn't been brought into the shop. read more

Tran and Lan are wonderful. My nails have never looked so good, and they are durable and last longer than any other nails I've gotten done by any other salon. They have a great selection of colors and designs and glitter, etc. Some of the newer girls don't do that good of a job so if you call ahead and book make sure to book with Tran or Lan. read more

Based on the good reviews here I booked my wife into a pedicure/manicure on the day we were attending an important work event that evening. She was very unhappy when she left and this is why: The girl who did her nails kept asking questions (in a foreign language) to the other employees around her on every step giving the impression that it was a trainee. The girl working with her didn't ask her any questions or make any attempt to do anything other than quickly get the job done. My wife likes to feel special getting any spa type activity done and felt like she was being processed not cared for. She was only talking to the other employees and not in English the whole time. What dropped this to ONE STAR was the fact that the employee working with her dropped the towel she was using on the floor and then just picked it back up and kept using it. I'm reasonably sure that health standards or at least common sense would say if you drop something on the floor put it away and get a new towel/tool. She dropped the towel several times during her work, each time just scooping it back up and hurrying to finish her work. Perhaps the non-trainee employees are better - but when I booked I was not told there would be a trainee doing the work, and we were charged full price. If we had known or had the choice I would have asked that we had a more experienced employee as this was a special event and my wife wanted to look and feel good for it. read more

I went here for the first time today for a set of gel nails based on Yelp reviews. I was pleased that they actually use gel, as I've had several experiences where salons try to pass off acrylic powder as gel nails, or acrylic nails with a gel topcoat as being true gel nails. The salon is easy to find and there's plenty of parking. I just got a simple glitter tip, but the woman next to me was getting a bow put on her nails that I would have guessed was a stick on, but it's actually hand-painted on with a 3-D material. The lights are actually built into a recess in the table, which is very comfortable and ergonomic compared to lamps on top of the table. A fill is $10-20 more than other places and I think the final product is thicker and less carefully shaped than an at-home nail technician who takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Still, better than the average nail places. read more

This was my first visit here and I absolutely loved the experience! The technician was very friendly and chatty, and gave me exactly what I wanted! The price was reasonable, although I would have loved to have seen a price listing before coming in (their website was under construction). The salon was clean and very welcoming. I will definitely be coming again! I love the marbling and the extensive amount of colours to chose from! read more

Modern Touch Nail Salon - Nail Salons Near Me - Edmonton, Alberta

My first experience here was really good despite being rained on and upon entering the building; the power went out. It took my nails a bit longer to do due to the power outage but I don't penalize them for that. In the end I loved what I got and I recommend this nail shop to anyone who needs to have fabulous nails for their next event. Request Lan or Trish. I went with Lan and my friend went with Trish. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

This place does AMAZING nails. Check out the Facebook page!! The atmosphere is lively and energetic! With that said my pedicure toe nail paint was not even. It looked like the paint was not evenly applied on all nails. The colour is awesome though. If the paint was evenly applied this review would be 5 stars. Also did I mention that prices are competitive and it is definitely worth the drive to come here! read more

I had an appointment for 6:15pm. And got there at least five minutes early. I can't believe that they made me wait 30min, and not letting me know how long the wait will be. I get 10-15min wait, but seriously, 30min? I left the place. If scheduling shows this little of professionalism, I won't expect much quality from their handiwork. read more

I go out of my way to see LAN. I have had my nails done in every major Canadian city, Las Vegas, Miami and Los Angeles, I have not had better nails anywhere! You want it, they can do it. Your always gonna have complainers but I have seen LAN for over 10 years and not one complaint except she should let me drink wine lol.jk. They provide immaculate service and are always super friendly and welcoming! I can't say enough good things about this salon read more

The best place to get your nails done. Tara is amazing. They are awesome at what they do.

Walked in, paid for a shellac manicure (26.50) and all she did was put on some nail polish. Did not cut my cuticles, did not cut my nails, did not put any cream on my hands, did not put any oil on my cuticles. WHAT A RIP OFF. They clearly don't care about their costumers and are just in it for a quick buck. Will never be going back read more

They do a great job just hard to get into. Really nice though and not rushed services.

I have been going here for a year now. Trish is an excellent technician who takes such great pride in her job. My nails always get compliments...Lahn is super as well... you won't be disappointed and you will be extremely pleased!!! read more

I go out of my way to get my nails done at Modern Touch, the ladies are true pro's at their craft. They are always up for doing any design, complicated or simple. Been going here for 3 years now, best Nail salon ever. Trish, Lan & Tara are extremely talented.

My first few visits were great, I was so happy to have finally found a place that was up to date with the trends. 2 ladies recommended this place to me and I loved their nails. I love to get studs and designs and depending on who you get they look decent. The second last time I went I had to go back twice in the first week to get nails that fell off put back on. And it sure seemed like an inconvenience. No one really cares, maybe that was normal? The last time I went there was to get a fill for the nails that kept falling off, the lady (also one of the owners) doing my nails started saying they were poor quality because I had gotten acrylic nails. I said that they were gel (as far as I knew) and that I had been going there for the last 3 months, so if they were acrylic they gave them to me. I couldn't believe she was arguing with me! I asked for suggestions about what to get (I wanted something trendy) and no one said a word, they just kept asking me what I wanted. I thought I had made it clear about how unhappy I was and they still charged me full price and didn't make any effort to get me back there. I have never gone back nor will I. Also the other 2 ladies that recommended it no longer go either on their own choosing. How sad. This place is about quantity not quality. read more

Went here the other day to try for the first time and I do not regret it at all. My nails have never looked better in all my Gel nail years. I cost me probably about $10.00 more than other gel nail costs but it is very worth the money. I am very fussy and picky about how my nails are done and look! My nails look like a million bucks full of bling, sparkle and a little bit of free hand white flowers. Nails were done in 1 hr and the details that were applied on my nail in this time slot was unbelievable! Not your average gel nail lady here. This will be my new place to get gel nails. Love it! read more

Have been here a few times and completely love it! I'm picky when it comes to my nails and they do an amazing job, have all of the new styles and are great when it comes to price as well! Definitely recommend them!! read more

I went here after a bad experience at my old salon and couldn't have been happier. I had a pedicure with some girlfriends a while back and really enjoyed it and thought i would try out a gel fill. Tammy the girl who did my nails did a beautiful job and was very nice and pleasant to chat too as well. It's a nice salon and the girls are well trained and definitely know what they're doing. I like my nails very thin and natural looking and she gave me exactly what I was looking for. This is my new salon for sure. read more

I used to get my gel nails done there. I have been to several nail salons in the past 10 years and Modern Nails is the best nail salon I have ever been to. I moved away from province and I miss getting my nails there. read more

I USED to love getting my nails done here. They were long lasting, looked beautiful, well worth the hefty price I paid for them. Their service has gone down hill in recent days, I always leave with a cut on my hand and they NEVER SANITIZE anything. They also re use many things that should be considered "one use only". It's not worth it going here anymore. Too expensive and dirty tools. No thanks. read more
