Great meal to end the upper US marathon vacation!!…read more We had no idea where we may end up eating but the trusty Yelp app led us to another victory dance!! Yay for Yelp!! We had just cruised the nearby mall center thingy and were hungry on our last night in Boston. We saw the sites and did the things. Boston is a one of a kind place for sure. This was the choice. It was a great choice! Beautifully decorated and oh so chill inside. We have a thing that we do at places with great appetizers. We just order a bunch of those and feast. That's what we did here! We started with some raw oysters. They were very nice indeed. Island Creek Oysters from Duxbury MA. is where they came from. We love the little local Junts a lot and had them all over the northeast while we were there. We also had Crab Rangoon Dip. Very good, lots of fresh lump crabmeat, with a house chili crisp, scallions, and wonton chips. Loved it! They we had some fantastic mussels to close the deal! The flavor was amazing! I wish I could have them every single day! We also had a bowl of BPH Clam Chowder. CC is one of my favorite things and this place did not disappoint in any way! Delicious!! The server was great. She took great care and made our last night in Boston an unforgettable experience. If you are near, you should go right now! Why aren't you there yet? '26 - 108

When we walked up around 7:30 pm, the outdoor seating on this beautiful day was already full. Good sign to start! Since it was a bit windy, we asked for an indoor table and were brought in immediately, no wait. To quench my thirst, I opted for a Storrow Jam libation- a blueberry, vodka, sparkling water, lemon flavored drink. Absolutely refreshing and well presented! My pal ordered their spin on a Cuban and swapped out the chips for the dill pasta side. He loved it so much that it was gone on minutes. Being a fan of ground meats, I opted for the Hajj, a ground lamb, tzatziki, Mediterranean style sandwich. It was well flavored and large, and came with a side salad. I shared the sandwich with my friend, but agreed that his crispy Cuban was a bit tastier. We ended the evening with a bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream to share. Massive portions! We both enjoyed to our hearts' delight, and the one dessert could have easily been shared with a third person. Our wait staff was so pleasant- friendly and warm from the start. They really made this experience shine! This is quite a pricy spot in the heart of Boston, so be prepared to pay a pretty penny for sandwiches. However, the elegance of the food is up there and it's a unique experience to pick a meal from a handful of the top chefs.

We got the overnight oats with roasted peaches and raspberries which was such an elevated version of this healthy dish. The house breakfast plate has all the expectations of a breakfast plate, but the sourdough bread was so soft, the bacon crispy, the scrambled eggs fluffy, and the potato fritters salty and crunchy. Both were much fancier than I can make but still very healthy and familiar. We did have to indulge in a pastry though. The Kouign Amann is relatively low cal, buttery, flaky pastry that wasn't too sweet and made a perfect addition to the meal. Coffee was great. They also have little cups and a water dispenser for hydration. Bathrooms were clean. It became a lot more crowded by 9, so come early if possible. We swung back by in the afternoon to pickup some Jerusalem bagels to go, and it was still full even in the evening. Those were well received as well. The food is amazing and the prices are very reasonable for a quick, healthy, elegant breakfast spot.

Ended up seating outside (while a girl at the closest table was attacked by a bee). Service could also use some work- they forgot to give me one of my bakery items right away, and I assumed it would come out with my coffee, but it never did. I had to go back to the counter to ask for it. Food was a bit of a miss too. The overnight oats had some unripe peach slices that were hard and unpleasant to eat. I also wasn't offered to have my cinnamon swirl warmed up, which other Tatte locations normally do without me even asking. I'll be avoiding this location going forward.

We decided to skip appetizers and go right to having our entrees with sides. The mashed potatoes were insanely buttery, the onion rings were perfectly crisp, and the corn was good (but also just corn). I had the beef Wellington which was phenomenal. You didn't even need a knife to cut the filet it was that tender. My dad said the ribeye he had was the best he has had in his entire life. We went with the banana foster which was the perfect way to end the evening and they bring out a little sweet chocolate treat. The tables are a little too close to my liking as the business dinner next to us was incredibly loud and over the top. I'd save a date night here for a Friday or Saturday where maybe the focus is on that. Our server Paige was knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. She put up with my dad's jokes really well and I appreciate that! We will definitely be back, but might stick to a different day/time. Also, the rolls are INCREDIBLE and I asked for leftovers and they packed me up a little box to go - THAT is great service and how you should do it!

This place was phenomenal!…read more I have to say, living in San Diego, I was not expecting much from a "Mexican" restaurant in BOSTON. (Any more than anyone from here would expect decent Chowder in San Diego.) My local friend chose this place, and I couldn't be more impressed. It started with this amuse-bouche, which was this frozen grapefruit treat that they poured some tequila on top of. (I uploaded a video of it.) We ordered a Red Crab Aguachile, Habanero Chicken Rancho Quesadilla, and Beef Gorditas. I would describe all of them as Mexican-inspired. They took the flavors and ingredients of Mexican cuisine, and then ran with them. Nothing was "familiar," per se. That is to say, if you're looking for Authentic Mexican cuisine, I'd suggest coming over to my place. :) But this food was absolutely delicious. Our waiter was super helpful, giving us plenty of time to order and consider the menu, there when we needed him, and didn't rush us to finish. The vibe in there is super warm, with some interesting decor. My friend said it was a little louder than normal because of a private party that was happening. But it just felt like a vibrant restaurant.

I ordered calamari and griddled cornbread (based on reading reviews) yeah I know too many carbs. And because I heard that the drinks are so good here, I wanted to try something, but I don't drink tequila. The bartender asked me if I liked coconut and made me what I think was a coconut lemonade drink which was delicious! And both dishes were really good too. Would be a great place to go with a group of friends for a nice evening out. And yes, I'd go there again when I'm in town.
