Sunday night, my car wouldn't start. I had it towed to superior on Sunday night and it was there…read morefor them first thing Monday morning. Superior noted on the invoice that the car was dead on arrival. Said they tested the battery and that they were able to start the vehicle with starting fluid after multiple attempts. Well, to me that means there were something wrong with the car battery. They got the car running and charged me $155. They kept the car all day, over seven hours to do the safety maintenance inspection that I didn't ask for. They didn't ask me either. Two days later, the car would not start again. I called superior to let them know and they said that the battery was OK when it was there. The battery was dead in their own words when they checked it. I don't understand why they didn't replace the battery. I was unable to go to work on my new job on Wednesday, I would think that an auto service center would recognize when a battery needs replaced.. I am homeless and sleeping in my car. I have no money to get it towed. Fortunately, somebody helped me in the Walmart parking lot to get the car running so I can drive it to a Walmart service center. If that kind person did not help me, I would've been stuck there. I would not have been able to go to work. I wouldn't had a place to sleep. Anyway, I think they should've changed the battery on Monday when the car was in their shop. I think they should've recognized that since it was dead on Sunday and Monday and it was a really old battery, they should have replaced it. Since they didn't, it was a big hassle for me not going back to Superior auto service again. It said on the invoice that they recommended that I monitor it. That is ridiculous. I'm supposed to just drive the car around and hope that it starts when I get back in. I would have to have an expense of it being towed. Shouldn't they fix the car so you don't get stranded somewhere ? Walmart charged me $150 for the battery and instillation. Superior charged me $155 and didn't fix the car. They just gave me a list of $2000 worth of stuff that needed to be Repaired.

And to boot, they do work that no one else would touch. For me, that included a complete rebuild of my 2006 transmission in 2024 in their shop. Yes it was costly but it was not a remanufactured tranny and extended the life of my car. If the engine goes, I'll likely return for an engine rebuild rather than a remanufactured engine. On another day, some basic work that should be simple and easy they seem capable of completely missing the mark. Couple this with their reliance on Metro Motor.com and their BG maintenance recommendations and you have what feels like a very hard sell to get your money. The BG recommendations are like a laundry list of what you MIGHT do to your auto if you had unlimited funds and just wanted to spend freely. There seems to be no rnyme or reason to the recommendations either in milage or elapased time. Don't get me wrong. I don't mind paying premiusm prices (which Ken's is) for premium work. That's the issue. I feel like it's sometimes worth it and other times not. I've reached the consclusion that they will get my more difficult jobs but routine maintenance will be handled elsewhere. I wonder if over time they have changed ownership or have new sales incentives in place. It's a shame. I really want them to be like The Car Talk guys from Boston and only do what's right.

Picked up the car today and the paint had some specs in it, and they said they would wet sand it to get the specs out while I waited. It didn't work. Eric Zamora offered me $50 or $100 discount so he wouldn't have to paint the whole door again. He said the paint had a "Lifetime" guarantee. I said that's fine, I would pay the full amount. Drove the car home and then noticed that the passenger side side view mirror was melted. Literally the paint and plastic was melted.....!!!! So I called them and drove all the way back to the shop and Eric was already gone for the day, but his worker said that they looked at a picture from the front of the car and said they could see a shadow showing that the sideview mirror looked "wavey" Bull crap!!! He said they took the mirror and the door off the front passenger side to do work on the rear passenger side, and that they only put the sideview mirror in the car and that it couldn't have gotten damaged.... I said there is NO WAY that my sideview mirror could get MELTED on the top of it while it was on my car. The plastic and paint are literally melted!!! Car is in great condition except the door that had to be repaired. Now they are saying that the MELTED sideview mirror must have already been like that. No pictures of the sideview mirror damage prior to doing the work. They melted the sideview mirror at the shop. Don't know how or who, but it wasn't melted when I dropped it off....... Every place I have ever been too takes detailed pictures of a car to make sure that this exact thing doesn't happen!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP. BEWARE. Dishonest. Go somewhere else.....

I took my car here for paint work after somebody sideswiped my parked car in a lot. I had taken my…read moremother's car here before and they did a stellar job on hers. So I assumed mine would be the same. I was not as impressed with the job that they did on my vehicle. For starters, when I originally went in for an estimate, I got a ballpark estimate (I told them I would not hold them to the eyeball estimate they gave me in the parking lot) of around $500-600 and that it was about a 3-day job. I was under the impression by what I was told that they had to remove the bumper and paint the entire thing to get it to match the vehicle since the pant transfer and scratches covered part of the bumper and the front fender. I also received an estimate for my insurance company from another autobody shop, and I also got the impression from them that the bumper would be removed and fully painted. I dropped my vehicle off on a Tuesday, fully expecting that they would be finished by Friday or so. I waited until Monday to call them. It was at that time that I learned that the vehicle sat for three days and wasn't even assigned to a painter until Friday! I was told that a manager would call me that evening and explain to me why there was a mixup. I never got that call. I called back on Tuesday to explain to them that nobody contacted me on Monday evening. They eventually found a manager to talk to me and they profusely apologized and explained that they would get my vehicle done probably by Wednesday evening. Wednesday morning I got a call advising me that the job was done. I was kind of surprised because I expected it might take them a little bit longer. I wasn't as pressed about getting the vehicle back as I was making sure it was done correctly. So if they had to keep it for a week, I would've been fine with that as long as it was done right. When I arrived at the shop and looked over the paint job, I was not entirely impressed. There were what look like several dings from rocks, and there was even a smudge in the clearcoat, and there was also a line that looked like maybe the metal flake had flipped. When I addressed all of this with them, they pulled it into the shop to have the painter look at it. At that point, the vehicle died. They had to jumpstart it because apparently it sat for three days and I don't know if the lights were left on, or something like that. They cleaned up the front end and showed it to the painter who apparently thought it looked pretty good. When they pulled the vehicle out, the manager came out and discussed with me that my insurance company didn't pay to have the entire bumper painted, but only to have the paint blended in with the fender to match up. I was very shocked to say the least because the check from the insurance company and my deductible combined was approximately $900. I know that's not a lot of money when it comes to body work nowadays, but I would think it would cover the cost of removing the bumper, prepping it, shooting it, and covering it with clearcoat. There was absolutely no body damage anywhere on the car. It was merely a paint job. And I figured with the supplies and the amount of time that they spent painting it, it wouldn't come to $900, especially when I was told it was roughly a $500-600 job and the fact that they didn't even paint the whole thing! The paint work itself was decent, and they are all very nice people working there. But I don't know that I would take my vehicle there again. I was a little disappointed with what actually occurred compared to what I thought was going to happen. Maybe that was my misunderstanding, but I don't believe so.

We dropped off the tires and rims, and the following day, they confirmed everything was ready for pickup. We paid $120 and asked if everything was properly installed--they assured us it was. After bringing the tires and rims home and installing them on our truck, we noticed within a couple of days that both front tires had deflated to 10 psi and both rear tires to 20 psi. We inflated all four to 35 psi and sprayed soap around the tire edges to check for leaks. One tire bubbled around the rim, and the other three showed leaks around the valve stems. We contacted one of the shop owner's family members, who told us the shop should fix the issue since it should've been caught before releasing the tires. My son called the shop and asked when we could bring the truck in for repair. They said they would charge $100 to remove the tires from the truck, citing their weight. However, they offered to fix the issue for free if we brought in just the tires. Shortly after that, they told my son it would be $100 to replace the valve stems. That's unreasonable--valve stems cost under $10 total. We already paid $120 for the installation, and most reputable shops check for leaks and include valve stem replacement as part of the tire mounting service. This experience was extremely disappointing. I plan to contact the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and other consumer protection services to file a formal complaint. This behavior feels fraudulent and deceptive. Consumers should be very cautious when dealing with this shop.

When I went to get it back, they said they threw the old parts away. I asked them to get it out of the trash. The man walked back and said it was already thrown in the dumpster. I asked him to get it out of the dumpster, and he said the trash company just picked it up. Within the week, I had the same problem with my Land Rover. I went to another mechanic, and he showed me that the parts were not replaced. I paid over $1600 to Premier Autowerks for nothing. I wouldn't take any vehicle there. That place is a joke.
