Netshed No. 9 is a must for the absolute best brunch…read more Ample outdoor seating, mimosas while you wait to be seated, fresh salads, enormous sourdough pancakes, and the most incredible cinnamon rolls that are so hot and fresh you'll be drooling over them. Since this is a popular place in Gig Harbor you can expect a long wait on a sunny day, but staff do a great job of turning tables and getting everyone seated as promptly as possible. So don't let the line deter you from going here-trust me, it's worth it to be patient for this one!

My fellow Stadium HS alumni and I gather every month or so, especially in Summer…read more This was my first time to sup at Netshed No. 9 and the first time the lads and I dined at this Gig Harbor restaurant. The lads enjoyed their food served up by bright and smiling wait staff. Netshed No. 9's location on the water - especially on such a bright and sunny day - provides a perfect PNW dining experience on their deck. My cup of clam chowder was enjoyable although the small cubes of potatoes outnumbered clams. The Chop Chop Chicken salad was lovely, especially the ample and freshly grilled chicken along with diced fresh tomatoes, blue cheese, hard salami, hard smoked mozzarella atop a bed of nicely dressed mixed greens. I'll state my personal preference for romaine lettuce but that did not deter me from being a member of the clean-plate club. If the weather is cooperating, this is a great venue for a lunch with friends.

Food The food was splendid. We ordered the Jambon de Paris…read moreOmelet and the BTA Benedict, and both were so good. We also got the A La Banana French Toast as a starter, which unfortunately did not survive long enough for a proper photo because we immediately started sharing it. It was seriously that good and absolutely deserves to be mentioned. We finished with a cappuccino, and I added a little honey drizzle and raw sugar on top. Everything felt thoughtful, well prepared, and worth coming back for. Service Our server was so kind and welcoming. We had a couple of moments where we saw dishes being brought to other tables and asked, "Wait, what was that?" and they were more than happy to answer our questions and tell us about everything. Very friendly, attentive service without feeling overbearing. Atmosphere The inside has such a relaxed, vintage bistro feel that makes it really easy to sit back and enjoy brunch. There's also outdoor seating with heaters and a tented area, so they're definitely prepared for Washington weather. I only wish it hadn't been so foggy when we went because the view would have made the experience even better. We were sat by a window where a heater fireplace was, still a best of both worlds when seated inside. Definitely make a reservation before you go, this is the kind of place I can see filling up quickly.

Visited today with reservations. There were only 3 other tables seated at the time of my arrival…read more I sat for 15 minutes before being acknowledged by the server. This is not an exaggeration. I was watching the clock. Not sure if my waitress was distracted or if this was just a one off but I won't be able to find out. There are heaters on the back porch so although It was rainy It wasn't too chilly. There are blankets on the back of each chair but however, not sure what the cleaning protocols are for the blankets. The specials are not on the menu so everything is word of mouth. The quiche of the day was not described as having a balsamic drizzle included and is not made fresh, but instead at least the day before? The mocktail is $14. This was a disappointing $50 brunch and I was still hungry.

The food and the service stand out at The Original Pancake House. We celebrate family birthdays…read morehere at their big round corner table on the left as you walk towards the dining room. It accommodates 8 people comfortably and is a wonderful spot to eat and visit. After all, it's my favorite place to eat breakfast in Gig Harbor. When I'm asked what I wasnt(I'm the Yelp Duke there), my response is, "what do you think I want?" The answer is always the cherry crepes. They are my favorite. They always smile and just ask in case I want some thing different. I always thank them for asking. They aways bring the birthday person a fresh crepe, too. That's a nice bonus if you're eating something else for your birthday other than crepes. Thank you OPH for always making our celebrations memorable.

There's also a whimsical chandelier made out of small cast iron skillets. Cute, I've never seen a chandelier like that before. I had a breakfast plate with pancakes that were just right. Not too sweet, not dry. The bacon was especially good, and everything else on the plate hit the mark. Coffee was decent. My husband went with the eggs benedict and was happy with it. We both left full and satisfied. The dining area isn't spotless. You can tell it could use a deeper clean in some corners. That said, our table was clean, and the food and service made up for it. Overall, a step up from the usual chain spots like IHOP or Denny's. We'd come back.

B's Bagels is, hands down, one of my favorite places to eat in the Tacoma area…read more I will quite literally drive from Tacoma over the bridge to Gig Harbor, pay the toll, wait in the enormously long line that is almost always at B's, and risk finding out they've sold out just to get one of their bagel sandwiches. And I'll do it again. The bagels are that good. Whether I'm calling it breakfast or lunch depends entirely on the day, but this is one of those places where I already know the trip is worth it before I leave the house. The line can be long and yes, sometimes they sell out. That's the risk you take. Consider it part of the experience. If the line is out the door, get in it. If they still have bagels when you make it to the front, congratulations.

I was so excited and thankful to finally find a vegan spot with vegan bagels AND vegan cream cheese…read morewhile visiting Gig Harbor. My daughter got a bagel with the vegan avocado schmear which was OK but I was quite disappointed after we left and opened my bag to find a plain bagel with the vegan cream cheese not on it but instead in a small container cold. Sounds silly, but part of the enjoyment of getting a bagel out is that you get a warm bagel and you have vegan cream cheese spread on it, which warms it up a little bit and makes it taste better. It was such a bummer to not have it spread on and even more so because I didn't have a knife to spread it (we were traveling and I didn't know it was on the side so I didn't grab a knife from the place). Would suggest having any vegan spread on the bagel :)
