I had an appointment with a gift certificate from my husband. I was on time for my appointment and Nancy was ready for me. She offered me a cold glass of green tea she makes herself, it was very good. She was so tender with me and very professional. We had conversation and it was so very pleasant. Her work was beautiful and not done too fast or too slow, just right. I did feel she took extra time as so to pamper me. I have gone to Rose's many times in the past, but feel Nancy is much better than any others I have had there. Please do go, she has remodeled the business and it looks very nice and clean. I absolutely love Rose Nails!!! Nancy does the best job on my shellac manicures and pedicures...I refuse to go anywhere else even if she is booked I will wait until her next available appt to get my nails done. All her tools are sterilized and she doesn't reuse the buffers or nail files like most shops do. She takes her time and takes pride in her services. Nancy has every shellac color u can think of. Everytime I come in her and her daughter Lucy treat me like family. I think my experience is different from others because I was a real costumer of that shop. I think 80% of these people write a review not even had a service on that shop. My experience with Nancy was that I could not communicate with Nancy because she cannot speak English. If I want something, I have to go through her 12 years old daughter or her husband. She claims that she has years of experience but take her one hour and forty-five mints to do a fill. The max time for an experience manicurist is 30-45min. If she has more than 20 years of experience with nail in US than she told me that, she just moves to the US few years ago. She cut my cuticles so many times and when I complain she keeps saying, "you have to trust my work "I was at her shop when a lady come and talked with her husband about the review of his shop. That woman told him that do not worry I told my entire friend to write a good review for you. I even asked Nancy husband why you make people not even come to your salon and write a review for you that is cheating he said that is a business. I go back to my nail person at Walnut Creek she took all my nail out and she put all new because under my nail was fungus was grown. The shop was clean but other than that, it is not worth it for me to pay and be appreciating too she does my nail. read more

This is the very first nails salon I can recommend in Martinez. Despite not having an appointment, I was treated as a queen upon entering, handed an ice-cold bottle of water, and immediately seated. The pedicure was very thorough and the assortment of OPI colors was excellent. When I decided to also choose a buff-only manicure, she spent quite a bit of time getting the hand buffing just right, to the point of standing to use the required strength. The result was a highly polished set of nails that looked as though they had a sheen of polish, when, in fact, they were beautifully buffed. This is now my favorite nails rendezvous. read more

After visiting 5 different nail salons ( in some occasions going more than once ) in Pleasant Hill and Martinez - I finally found this Gem in January. Every Single Manicure and Pedicure I have gotten here has been PERFECT!! Nancy takes her time to be sure my nails look their best.. And isn't that what you want in a salon.. Perfect looking nails.. whether they be on hands or feet. Since this is a one woman shop - Appointments are a must - No walk ins. And since Nancy does such a Great Job - rarely do they have same day openings .... Nancy's teen daughter helps around the salon. If you have a request they do everything they can to accommodate. On occasion the front door will be locked, if they are not comfortable with who is hanging around waiting for the "Cash for Gold" next door to open... although the area always feels safe. I have been to countless nail salons in Martinez since I moved here 2 years ago- well 7, actually- and Rose Nails is the absolute BEST. Helen, the one and only technician/operator in this small but roomy business space that holds 2-massage and foot soak chairs as well as 2 finger nail stations is perfectly sized and appointed for one technician. If you've ever been concerned about tech's speaking amongst themselves about you in their native tongue, you certainly don't need to worry about that here. Helen works quickly and efficiently, wasting no time to deliver perfect manicures, pedicures and acrylic nails. The prices are competitive, and the service can't be beat. They're open 7 days a week! I go out of my way to schedule appointments only at this salon. The staff treats you like family and they spoil you during your visit. This nail shop is great! I have been coming here for a couple of months, and Nancy, Lee and the daughter Lucy have been nothing but, courteous and professional. I recently moved back to Martinez from El Dorado Hills, CA where I had an excellent shop. Nancy is comparable in service and her work fee is even less in cost...I am extremely happy with her work. She listens to my special requests for my nails...she is the 2nd shop I have tried since moving back to Martinez, the first shop was a disaster and a miserable experience and super over priced. I am extremely happy with this shop, their cleanliness, and have experienced no problems. Nancy spends her time to ensure she does a thorough job and that her clients are happy with her work, but, I am never there longer than average of my previous shops. I like the atmosphere since I don't feel like I am being rushed through. I have been to several shops over the years, so I am very meticulous and aware of cleanliness. This shop meets all of my expectations. Nancy is always happy to see me, and that means alot to me, I feel valued as a customer of theirs.
