Called for an appointment the same week. Was easily booked. Located in downtown Martinez. Parking is metered on the street til 6PM, this establishment does not validate parking. Boutique nail shop. Greeted upon entering. Hard gel and pedi were completed by Alison. She did an amazing job. Paid close attention to nails and cuticles. Her shaping game is legit. A go to nail shop when on the area. read more

The girls are nice but I do not think the quality is worth the price. I got a structured gel fill and every one of my nails are crooked or a weird shape. The gel color is very messy. I got no massage during my pedicure. read more

My go to salon! I love my girl alison!! shes very attentive and always does my nails right. I've been coming back here for awhile now and this place never disappoints!! Also i love that they have a TV cuz they be playing the best shows/movies lol read more

Primarily came here for a pedicure and overall, the experience was okay; I was a bit turned off by the set up of the pedicure station. The place where you put your foot is so flimsy and there was no way to adjust the seat (because it's not those common massage chairs). Also, the price of the gel pedicure with an overlay is expensive compared to other places. read more

I had the pleasure of meeting Melissa. She was not only sweet but attentive to the style I wanted, which was gel extensions. She revived my hands to look feminine!! She also did my pedicure which was well done. The only reason I took a star off was the lack of massage. Or maybe I'm Old school? No massage for mani but short for pedi? Don't get me wrong, I'm coming back to see Melissa! read more

I've been a client of Noy's for about 7 years now. Watching her journey to owning her own salon has been so inspiring. The salon space is very chill/calming. So many of the Nova Lux reviews mention that she's a perfectionist and I can vouch for that. My nails look perfect every time! Sasha does beautiful design work and gives fabulous pedicures. Alison is a terrific artist as well. Noy has built a team of fun, sweet and uber talented individuals. Schedule your appointment today or swing by the salon. You'll be glad you did! read more

Noy is great and I am so happy for her that she opened her own salon in Martinez. I know it has been a journey, the salon is such a nice and relaxing place to get a manicure and pedicure. I have been seeing her for over 5 years and she is the best nail tech that I have ever been to. read more

Texted via their book online portal for personal reasons, then she just texts me.to call in tomorrow. We'll, you just lost my business. I needed online booking and that's why I chose you. I was set up to be a repeat customer for manicure and pedicures with hefty tips. You should have responded to my text message. All I wanted was a quote. read more

I've been seeing Noy since 2018 and omg...there aren't enough words. She's not just a nail tech. She's that, a business woman, a teacher and a friend. I was so proud of her when she opened her salon and she continues to amaze me with what she's done with her place. I'm always greeted with a hello not only from her, but from the other ladies (Alison, Bere and Summer). Being there is honestly therapy for me and I always look forward to my appointment whether it's just for my nails or a wax. Noy, keep doing what you're doing because it's working. Yall need to start going to Nova Lux. You won't be disappointed! read more

Nova Lux Salon - Gel overlay with design - Nail Salons Near Me - Martinez, California

Enjoyed my deluxe pedicure with Ebony. She did a great job! Ebony was very sweet and professional. She was easy to talk to and seemed very knowledgeable about nails and was able to provide some good suggestions for me for home maintenance in between my salon visits. The shop is clean and quiet so it's easy to relax and the decor was nice as well. The area where the salon is very quaint and has a lot of little restaurants and shops. My suggestion is if you book an appointment get there around 15 mins early so you can search for parking, that's the small inconvenience the parking is tight around the salon and you may have to park and walk a couple blocks away from the salon. Overall I had a nice experience and have rebooked a future appointment. read more

I've been going to Noy since March of 2023; I have never been disappointed with my nails since. She is experienced & enjoys what she does. She cares about her clients & is accommodating. Anything you ask design wise, shape wise, length wise, she will do. She has so many color options also which is great. One of the most genuine nail technicians I've had the pleasure of going to. read more

I needed someone to do a pedicure for my friend who was pregnant and on bed rest in the hospital. I was so glad to see Nova Lux offered in-home services. Noy was professional and responsive and did an excellent job for my friend. Would definitely hire again! read more

Noy has been doing my nails for I believe 3 years now and hands down she does the best work I've ever had and I've been getting my nails done for two decades. I struggled in the past with getting gel manicures and having the polish always chip about a week in. Noy does gel overlay for me and I only have to get my nails redone every 3 weeks. They look perfect for the full 3 weeks. I receive compliments all the time. I cannot recommend her enough! read more

Noy is truly the best of the best! She is professional, personable, hard-working, meticulous, and incredibly talented. I have always enjoyed getting my nails done, but previously to seeing Noy my nails would always chip, break, and never last longer than 2 to 3 weeks. Now that I see Noy, my Nails always look amazing and the quality lasts in between my appointments. I have been able to grow out my natural nails that used to be so weak and brittle. I feel so lucky that Noy is my nail artist, and I would never want anyone else doing my nails! I cannot send a higher recommendation for Noy! read more

I came here a few days ago without appointment and with a little wait, I was accommodated. There were only 2 people doing nails at that time. For a gel refill, it came out to $35, pretty much the same price anywhere in the area. I love that they don't talk to their customers too much, they just do their job and they do it well. Be sure to bring CASH. read more

Noy has been doing my nails for years now. She is hands down the best! My nails would last longer than any nail sets I have had. She takes her time to take care of my nails and listens to what I want. My nails remains healthy when I'm with her. I've moved away but every time I come back into town I need to go see her for my nail fix because no one here in Texas does what she does. My nails misses her and so do I. read more

Took my teenager here for the first time today. Ebony, the nail tech did an amazing job! My daughter absolutely loves how her nails turned out and has commented on them several times since getting home and has been sure to show them to everyone we've seen this evening. The salon is really nice and most of the staff seemed great but I unfortunately had a pretty bad experience. I would recommend being careful about who you book with to avoid the issues that I had. I was so excited about getting a gel x set and a pedicure before a big trip and left the salon almost in tears with no time to get it corrected before I leave for 3 weeks. The nails didn't look anything like what I had requested and I had sent 2 different references prior to the appointment. We tested a few colors and it still wasn't right. My pedicure was nice but the person who did my nails left me with gel around most of my cuticles and took a large piece of my big toenail off on one side to it looks really small and is now crooked. I hate to be writing this review but I'm really sad about this experience, and after $250 and 5 hours lost, I want others to be able to have better interaction than I did. As other reviews show, this salon is great, just make sure you know who to book with before going. read more

Don't book on line because it won't be accurate. Showed up for an appointment today, she wasn't there. When she showed up she acknowledged on line booking wasn't always accurate and that I couldn't possibly have an appt because she was booked out for a month. When I explained I booked it a month ago she said she was booked out for a month and a half. No apology, nothing! Won't try her again. read more
